This has always been my favorite escape from campus. It feels far enough from school but is so easy to bike to, even on a day like today(15deg). The atmosphere is conducive for working or talking with friends, and the noise level is lively without being distracting. My favorite part is that I have always been able to find a space to work, even though it’s always been packed when I come. The spaciousness is unmatched compared to other coffee shops in Ann Arbor. There’s plenty of seats and tables, but it never feels cramped. I’m going to miss this place when I move!

What an awesome atmosphere! And an awesome vanilla latte! I came here with a friend on a Monday afternoon since it is halfway between our apartments. Parking was kind of a pain, as the parking structure four doors down was completely booked up, so I had to park in a structure off of N Main & Washington. It was a six minute walk to Mighty Good Coffee from there, but that was no big deal. It was fairly busy for a Monday afternoon, but there were still a few seats available. There’s actually quite a bit of space and different areas to sit in. Once we both got inside, I ordered a vanilla latte for there. The menu was short and sweet, with not a ton of options, but just like most coffee joints, if it’s not on the menu, they can still probably make it. When I ordered my drink, I was told they usually only make 12oz lattes for here, so no 16oz for me, which I thought was odd. The man behind the register told me if I really wanted it 16oz he could do it, but it would be in a mug they use for tea, not a latte mug. I opted for the 12oz, not a huge deal since I already had coffee earlier that day. It ended up being the perfect size. The latte art on top was so pretty, it almost made me not want to drink my latte! Alas, I did drink it and it was one of the best vanilla lattes I’ve had to date. My friend ordered the chai and said hers was excellent also. We’ll be back!

The best specialty latte drinks around. The sea salt cocoa is like dessert, it’s ridiculous!!!

I’ll preface my review by saying that both times I have come in, the coffee has been excellent. The space is also great and I can see it being an ideal choice for studying/working. My main gripe both times has been the customer service. As noted in other comments, customer interaction is almost non-existent. The first time I came in I ordered a cold pressed coffee. It seemed like it was pulling teeth for the barista when he had to ask me what size coffe and whether I’d like milk in it or not. I felt like I was inconveniencing him. After it was done they just placed it at the end of the bar and never said anything. I had to ask if it was my drink. The second time I came in was even worse. The gentleman in front of me must have been a regular, because the barista knew what he wanted as soon as he walked up. She then proceeded to talk to him about a local CSA for about two minutes or three minutes while I just stood there in line. After he left she didn’t even acknowledge me till I came up and asked if I could order. Again, I felt like I was some stranger that was intruding. Overall, if you want a delicious coffee beverage, you’ll find it here. Just don’t expect anything in the way of customer service.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked their opinion on roasts. The price was in line with the quality of service and product given. Not to mention the ambiance is great for casual work or hanging out!

The best coffee place ever. The coffee is like 8 cups of coffee. It’ll mess you right up. Pretty much cocaine in liquid form. Had one cup here and I’ve been up for 72 hours. My body doesn’t require sleep anymore. Thanks to this place my body has evolved past the need to require such primative actions. Mighty good coffee has made me eternal.

Really love this place as a study location. It’s far enough off campus that it’s never too loud and there’s never a ruckus. It gets pretty busy around exam times, and the weekends are never empty, but if you get there early enough you can find yourself a prime table. Regardless, I’ve never had a problem getting a seat and everyone’s super nice about sharing the plugs. The coffee is definitely some of the best brew on campus and their desserts are a great pick-me-up after a long time studying. Only downside is that they close at 6pm which is SUPER inconvenient for students since I only get out of class at like 7… But living in Kerrytown this is my favorite place to be on the weekends. And the giant windows make studying pretty pleasant.

Coffee was great. I had the Yergacheffe Hombela which had some nice fruity tones that was a good wakeup. Customer service was awkward. I asked if any of the baristas knew the wifi password. A couple responded they didn’t know it as one dragged it out over over the course of 10−20ish seconds and I attempted to uncomfortably laugh at their poor attempt at humor at my expense. One finally quietly told me what it was. I recognize that they probably get that question a lot and it probably gets old after«three years of working here…»), but it isn’t prominently noted and should be happily/eagerly provided to someone new to this place. Perhaps I should have made my status as a new(and potentially future) customer more available.

I have only tried the brown sugar sea salt latte, and it was excellent. The only issue with this coffee place is they don’t open until 7AM. Where I need to be to work at 7AM. If they would open earlier I would stop every day, but instead I have to stop at Starbucks. I wonder how much money they lose within that hour?

This is my kind of place. I’m currently in the back, sitting down and getting the occasional whiff of roasted beans. It’s almost sexually stimulating. I got a cortado that was smooth and velvety like it should be. Very delicately steamed milk and I appreciated that. The cold brew packed a nice citrusy flavor that I was very fond of and also went down smoothly with a nice bourbon-y finish. Lastly, baristas were super accommodating and helped me navigate Ann Arbor since it is my first time visiting. Playlist is straight fire. Wish I could bring some of this warm, roasty, titivating(not really sure what this word means) atmosphere back home.

Solid coffee, reasonable music, and decent wi-fi. Nice decaf pour-overs, fun bikes on the wall, and usually some open chairs. Very much a work-and-coffee vibe — there’s some dates and some people relaxing, but pretty much every table has at least one laptop. There’s often(but not always) enough noise that you don’t get the«one loud table you can’t ignore» situation. I enjoy the leather chairs; I want to enjoy the row of theater chairs, but there’s no place to put your coffee other than your hand, so it’s not good for multi-tasking. Food is reasonable but a bit scattered; banana oatmeal is solid, pastries can be unpredictable.

Awesome coffee! Only been once, so I will update once I visit more. I had the Costa Rica coffee right before the close. The settings is great for Ann Arbor and seems to be a great place to do work.

I was a little underwhelmed, but I’d still recommend this as a place to work or study. I had a pour-over; I thought this was okay but not particularly flavorful. I had a bar-type snack about which I felt similarly. However, seating is generous and outlets are plentiful. The customers seem aware of this fact, because when I went everyone was by themselves and focused on a laptop. This is a very minor gripe but, because there’s a big wall in the center of the café, the baristas aren’t really able to call out when a drink is ready like at other locations. So I felt like I had to(kind of awkwardly) loiter around the counter area while waiting for my beverage.

I’ve been to the Main St location twice, both times I experienced awkward customer service… One example, I ordered a pound of beans at the cash register — front of the store — the staff member packages them up further down the counter where they keep them. When the beans were ready(1 min later) the barista loudly announced to everyone that the beans are«ready for pickup at the bar»… She knew I was standing at the cash register 10 ft away and could have just brought them to me… I had just talked to her… It was very strange and I’m not sure if they are trained to do that but it doesn’t work. I have bought a pound of coffee on each visit — they’re reasonably priced for locally roasted beans($ 15 and $ 17 per pound respectively). They offer to track your bean purchases so you earn money back at the store if you purchase enough beans — it’s tracked ONLY by your name, which I appreciate. I haven’t tried any of their espresso based drinks — only pour overs. I look forward to the new location opening up at Arbor Hills, Washtenaw and Platt Rd. Hoping they can correct the service issues because I do enjoy the coffee!

Best lattes in Ann Arbor! Mighty Good provides a selection of excellent, signature lattes that would be hard to find elsewhere. My personal favorite being the Brown Sugar Sea Salt latte. The baristas and management are lively people that love brewing coffee every morning. If in need of a boost to start your day, look no further!

The coffee was mighty good, but the service was might weird. For real! I came in and wasn’t greeted, and stared at like I was an intruder or something? Wth! I had the thought to say bye! And go to one of the other coffee shops in town that are not so creepy. But, my patience kicked in and I ordered my coffee, a pour over, which was really good. I also like the fact they supply creamer from a local dairy, that is a big plus. Will I come back??? That is a good question. I’d rather be made to feel welcome and get a mediocre cup of coffee, than to feel mighty weird and the coffee is mighty good…

Good place to do work with lots of seating and plugs. The hot coco with sea salt is wonderful but the coffee… Ehhhh. The pour overs are a little diluted. The coffee at Starbucks is better And I always prefer my local coffee shops. All and all — go here to do work but not for the coffee.

Talk about Coffee Experts ! The friendly hipster employees of Mighty Good sure do know what is GOOD ! and honestly know whats better than Good. What people need to be talking about: the Toast Bar options ! today i was able to purchase for $ 52 slices of seed and grain toast from CRUST(local) with CALDERDAIRYBUTTER(local) and a large hot Might Good coffee! other options include Koeze(local) peanut butter, honey cinnamon riccotta & a few other options i forgot. I have had all the listed above and they were ALLAWESOME !! Mighty Good Coffee also has pastries from the Pastry Peddler(local) on Packard — the croissants looked HUGE and delicious — they had chocolate, normal and almond. also these super cute oatmeal cups — there was 4 options for that as well. and Greek Yogurt in the fridge as another breakfast item. They do all the fancy types of brewing: chemex, v60, etc etc **** for bottling and cold brewing their own coffee !! :D :D :D great well lite space for doing work and using wifi ! Mighty Good Coffee is the epitome of coffee snobbery. I literally overheard someone say, «I insulted [insert name] by telling him that he uses cream in his coffee,» which elicited a hearty laugh from his listener. That said, if you can bear the shame of putting cream in your coffee or ordering a flavored latte(Gasp!), this place is awesome!!! Your coffee selection may be prepared by various methods that take much too long if you are in any hurry, but worth the wait if you have the time. Do not fear, drip coffee is also available if you are in a rush. The Brown Sugar Sea Salt latte is a must if you are craving a treat! And, the Toast Bar is genius! There is ample seating where students are observed in rows, Apple computers in front of them. Overall, a great coffee shop, but beware of the hipster! LOL
