Expensive, pretentious garbage. They nickle and dime you for every topping. You’re looking at 20 bucks for a proper burger with fries and a drink. Nice staff though.

This place is legit. For a burger joint, It delivers way better than it promises. Organic! A burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun! Quality and superior flavor. The price is right. The décor is a little hard. That’s ok. Good eats.

I love the idea behind this place. Affordable(fast food-ish) burgers but with high quality ingredients! Counter service was friendly & love that they tell you the calorie count! Not typical(obviously) of a burger joint, but much appreciated. It is a good spot if you are looking for a quick bite but want to avoid traditional fast food. It does have a bit of a chain feel to it… is it a chain? I had a single beef burger & a small regular fry which cost just under $ 10 with tip. I know they do have some more expensive add-ons & other exciting burgers to choose from, that you will pay more for. I however, was completely full & happy when I left. The burger was good, I appreciate that it actually had BEEF flavor although a few extra spices on the meat wouldn’t hurt. For me though, the bun and the free toppings were enough to spice it up. The fries were also delicious and come with very little, if any, salt added. Which again, my somewhat calorie conscience self appreciates. Overall, I feel happy places like this exist. You can feel good about what you are eating… even if it is a burger and fries.

Yum! Solid four stars. Apparently there is another one in A2 but this one open up downtown close to me and I was excited to try it. As a SoCal girl in the Midwest I’m a sucker for anything purporting and selling all natural ingredients. Plus I’ve blasphemously heard it compared to In-N-Out. Lies, blatant, outright, false lies, but it’s good. And I see how someone could easily get confused between their ‘Elevation Sauce’ and«Special Sauce’. But you can’t mess with the original. It’s super clean inside with super friendly employees. If you dine in they will bring your food to you at your table in their little spot with booths and hightops for seating. They’ll also probably ask you how your food is at least once during the meal — a change for a fast food place as opposed to a classic sit-down. Price are more expensive than In-N-Out too. At least $ 5 for a burger on average once you add toppings(cheese is a premium), more if you get a double. Burger is what really didn’t clinch it for me. It’s good but there’s nothing to make it super memorable — grease, toppings, size, spices. Maybe that’s the«all natural», but it just tastes like a decent good burger to me. Fries are $ 3, basically $ 5 if you get any of their variations — cheese, onions, Elevation sauce. Fries are tasty though. Their shakes and malts are also a bit pricey(I can’t recall) but good. I do keep coming back however — because it is good. I would have loved it more if no one had ever compared it to my one true love and hadn’t come in with those sneaky suspicions and allegations. But it’s one of my good places to get a decent cheap-ish burger downtown near State and Liberty.

I had a craving for a burger and had my boyfriend pick up some carry out from Elevation. I ordered the Elevation burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and Elevation sauce wrapped in lettuce with fries on the side. I should have sprung for the extra 200 calories for a hamburger bun if I’m honest. The lettuce made eating the burger incredibly messy, as the Elevation sauce could not be contained. As for the burger, it seemed really salty. The fries were a big disappointment. I got a small order and they gave me what appeared to be a mini size, if they carried it. Most of the fries looked and tasted like they were left over from a batch made earlier in the day. I would have been happier going to a fast food place and wrapping the burger in lettuce myself.

High quality burgers, inside was clean and full of families and college kids. There was bit of a line but it moved quick. Burgers were amazing, much better than shake shack in my opinion. Also from my understanding the beef patties are halal. Will def go back again when im in the area

Finally a place that serves organic food without being super expensive! I’m also really glad they have the calories next to everything, as it helps those who pay attention to those numbers make decisions that fit their lifestyles! I ordered the grilled chicken burger, which is the most basic — just two chicken tenderloins on a bun for $ 6. However, you can add a bunch of toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, all for free! I added guac too, which was $ 1 extra, but the total was still only $ 7.95! The chicken was really juicy and tender and just seemed really fresh! The only thing was that the buns were a little small, and since there were two pieces of chicken, sometimes one piece would slide out of one side… but maybe that’s just because my buger-eating technique needs a little work! The fries were pretty good — not as crispy as some other fries, but like some other reviews have mentioned, they’re fried in olive oil, so they’re healthier. However, this does cause the whole restaurant to have a weird smell, it’s hard to explain. But that definitely does not take anything away from the good food!

Heard great things about this place, they strive to deliver fresh and flavorful food. Got a cheeseburger, which was very tasty but they got real skimpy on the toppings, did I have to say extra? Is this their portion control amount? Thought maybe it was just mine, but all the burgers we ordered looked about the same. Would I go back? Not worth it, going to Five Guys!

I’m not vegetarian, but the veggie burger(even without cheese!) is fantastic! Nice, clean décor that’s also welcoming makes this place a great lunch spot. Great customer service as well. I hope this burger joint sticks around for many years to come.

We grabbed a quick bite here as we were pressed for time before a movie. For what this is, a healthier/some organic fast food joint, it was really good. The food was good, the place was clean, and the service was fast. One of the employees, not sure if he was a manager, came out and talked with us. He was checking in to see if everything was okay, and thanked us for coming. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again.

Ah the vegan burger here is amazing! If you’re craving a burger this is definitely the place for vegetarians to curb those cravings. You can add cheese to the vegan burger if you absolutely must(which I did). Elevation fries are also a must, and you can’t leave without a milkshake. Basically this place does no wrong and the owner himself is here sometimes taking orders and making rounds to the customers. I’m drooling just thinking of the burger. Wish it was like 5x the size it was so my sadness when it’s finished could be delayed.

Elevation Burger is a similar type restaurant to Five Guys or Burgerfi, in layout, options, and price. If you’ve never been, really you just walk in, order your burger and pick all your fixin’s, then they bring it out to you. So yeah, it’s a burger joint. Anyway, as far as burger quality goes, it’s excellent. I got a double cheese burger and a soda, which ran me about $ 10. I’d say I liked it quite a bit more than Five Guys, though I’ve never been too keen on the latter. This specific location was very clean and the staff was particularly courteous. I went during the lunch rush, but speed of service wasn’t an issue and it wasn’t terribly crowded. If you’re looking for a good burger and happen to be in the area, Elevation Burger is a good place to check out.

This place is the answer to my dreams. First, it’s grass fed, antibiotic free beef. That’s really important to me b/c antibiotic resistance is real. Second, it’s delicious. Definitely try one of their shakes with your burger, too. They also use real food like awesome aged cheddar, olive oil with the fries, great bacon, and they have real fruit available for their shakes and malts. They also show calorie counts even though they aren’t required for a chain of this size(down to the toppings!). And they pay workers starting at $ 9 an hour which is no $ 15 an hour, but still decent for a college town. And their workers are nice and professional, one even wiped down the side of my shake cup just to make sure my hands wouldn’t get sticky. It also has great lighting, making it an all around pleasant experience. Bonus points, too, for recycling their cooking oil/biofuel. This place is the real deal.

I have been enjoying burgers since I was a kid. Let’s face it, like beans and hot dogs, their a staple in the American diet. While many experts and nutritionists will tell you that fast food like this is bad for your health, especially due to the fact burgers are made from red meat, you really can’t go wrong with Elevation Burger. I decided to stop in and try their signature«Elevation Burger,» which has two organic, grass-fed, free-range beef patties. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, but from the first bite I was in heaven. I topped the burger off with lettuce, mayo, and a slice of tomato. You can really taste the quality of the beef in this burger, and while you’ll pay more than other fast food restaurants, the taste it well worth it. Moreover, the level of customer service at this establishment is far better than what you’ll find at Burger King or McDonalds. Likewise, the interior is very clean and modern. So the next time you’re in downtown Ann Arbor, do yourself and favor and stop in at this place and treat your taste-buds to a treat. You both will be very happy that you did.

–Very helpful and very friendly staff. I regret forgetting to give a tip :( –Clean! Everything was wiped down and looked sanitary. –Décor is very modern and it kind of reminds me of a frozen yogurt shop. Doesn’t bother me! But it’s casual. Which is all good. On par with 5 guys but looks more trendy and cool. — VEGGIEANDVEGANBURGERS!!! huge plus for me! This is what will keep me coming back. –i love that most of their toppings are free. I recommend the caramelized onions. — ORGANIC — The burger was good. My boyfriend got the classic meat patty one and i got the veggie. We both agreed that our food was good but not«omg out of this world» good. — The one thing i would change is the buns. They reminded me of Burger King buns. For the price, i would like a bun of higher quality!

Rating: 3.5 The staff is great and very knowledgeable here. The service is also a pretty quick turnaround as you get your burger within 5 – 10 minutes of ordering. However the food is pretty meh to me. You can tell the meat is good quality but the burger is not one to make you go «oh…my… God…». It’s more like a «not bad» burger. I got the elevation burger with bacon, elevation sauce, lettuce, and tomato on a wheat bun. The elevation sauce was good but they only put on a little bit in the middle so I barely tasted it. I think it would be better if the burger cost less, you could opt for 1 patty, and you could have your sauce on the side so you can put however much to your liking

I was supposed to have dinner with a friend on the last night of Cinetopia yesterday, but he bailed so I checked this place out instead. I had heard good things. It’s a bit pricey — I got the Elevation Burger with mushrooms, tomato, pickles, and 2 sauces on the side, plus fries, and it came out to about $ 10(no drink, just water). However — all of their meat here is organic, so you’re definitely getting a better burger than you would at McD’s or another burger place. The burger was very delicious as well; fries were decent. The customer service here is excellent, too — it was my first time there so I didn’t know what sauce to get, she let me choose the balsamic and the honey mustard and put them on the side. I’d like to come back and try the milkshakes here, they looked great. I’ll be back another time for a burger, as well.

Best burger east of in-n-out. Fresh ingredients and clean taste. The fries at this location seems to be thicker than the washtenaw location, but they are both good.

This place is amazing! I officially have a new favorite burger place, switching from my old favorite — Five Guys. The establishment is right in the intersection of Liberty and Maynard with a bright blue sign that you cannot miss. Inside, it’s super nice and modern. Spectacular customer service from the enthusiasm of the cashier, the delivery of food to your table, and pickup of your tray once you are finished(but not exactly the same as the formality of a sit-in restaurant). So no need to leave a tip — awesome awesome awesome service! I ordered the elevation burger with elevation sauce, Mayo(out of stupidity), lettuce, tomato, carmalized onions, pickles, jalapeños, and a wheat bun. Wheat bun actually didn’t taste healthy so that was fun to get a great taste out of it. Patties are just as great, if not better, than Five Guys(you get two 100% organic, grass-fed, free-range, anti-biotic free beef patties that is lower in calories and saturated fat than other competitor beef patties. Can you really ask more than that from them? On a side note for Muslim customers — their meat is halal/zabiha, so stop by ASAP!). They have great missions as well — from sustainable environmental initiatives to providing you with health information clearly and concisely on their menu(they out the caloric information next to each item, much similar to that of Panera Bread). This is a great rising chain(they have another storefront on Washtenaw Avenue) and I can definitely see it growing on a national scale. Enjoy!
