They came in and set up shop at Wolverine State Brewing Company last night. They had a few offerings — wings, chili, brats, and maybe one or two other items. I tried the white bean, lamb chorizo chili — or at least that’s what I think it was called. It was excellent! If you order it, make sure you get it with the mint yogurt topping. Apparently they will be back in the weeks to come, so I plan on sampling a few of their other items. At this point, I cannot give it 5 stars simply based on one cup of chili. I may be back to update the rating soon. That being said… it seemed a little pricey. As my buddy said, they were«ballpark prices.» 7 bucks for a brat — loaded or not — seems a little high. I think it was 8 bucks if you wanted to add sauerkraut. Even if they knocked that price down only a dollar, it would seem more reasonable and they’d still be making a profit.

Chicken and mushroom paella with asparagus. Sounds like potential doesn’t it? But no. Hopes were dashed with the first bite. Paella is good bc it’s very flavorful, but their paella wasn’t even salted properly. It was embarrassingly bland and tasted like it had been left out after it was cooked the night before. I haven’t tried their other options so I can’t speak for their truck as a whole, but I wouldn’t order their paella. Save the seven bucks and try some of the carnitas tacos or pork buns next door. Your stomach and your wallet will thank you.

I haven’t experienced them in Ann Arbor… yet! I did have some yummy duck fat fries at the Eastern market Truck Stop event. Handmade chorizo combines with the rich flavor of duck fat fries featuring chorizo duck gravy heaped over blue cheese. The potatos were nice and crisp!!! I can’t wait to see what else they offer… I would order this again in a heart beat. Pictures to come! Oh and the proof is in the pudding, because they sold out of them around 6ish!
