Food was really good. I got the butter chicken extra spicy. Took a little longer than I thought for a semi-fast food place.

I believe these folks do not know what they are doing. It took them 45 min. To make chaat papdi. I could have traveled to India and back. This what happens when store owner is not there and has 2 non Indians making food. Horrible food and service. There were only 3 customers in the place. What the hell happened to this place. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

I am addicted to their paneer tikka masala roll. Delicious! Their service is very nice, but it can be a long wait for food when the restaurant is busy, and the place is HOT in the summer and freezing in the winter. But if you call ahead and get the food to go(like I usually do), you’re in good shape!

So i had been here a few times during the summer and fall and food was very good, however i have been back during the winter, and my advice to you is don’t eat there during the winter Unless it is takeout,. Oh my gawd we went there in the winter it was a cold day, and decided to dine in. The place has no heat at all, i could see my breath, when i inquired about it they told me students run it and can’t afford to heat it during the winter which to me was very strange, by the time we got our food it was cold, we sat close to the front and it was windy the door was close by which added to the discomfort. Never again will i go back that just spoiled everything and everything i ever thought about it ever had been good.

We picked up some food from here today. My wife got the pav bhaji and I got cholay with rice. Deeelicious! My wife grew up in Mumbai and said the taste was authentic on the pav bhaji. The cholay was good too. Almost as good as my wife makes! I would go here again if it wasn’t so far up on the other end of town(we drove from Onsted MI).

Good inexpensive food. You can get a meal here for only 8 bucks or less. All of their food is quite tasty. I recommend the curry. They are open until 9 pm most days and their staff is friendly. I recommend ordering before time since it can take a bit to get your food.

This is a 3.5 star review. The feel of the place is fast food/hole-in-the-wall. Lots and lots of take out. I think in the time I sat there I saw about 70 percent of the people were all picking up. I got the butter chicken, gobi manchurian? and sev puri. The manchurian dish was actually really great, deep fried cauliflower in semi-spicy sauce. The butter chicken was meh, it wasnt as creamy as I liked… but the sev puri was really good. It was like an Indian version of nachos. Crispy rice shells filled with chickpeas, chutney and yogurt. The service is friendly but not that great. I would spend a little more and venture into town to see what I find.

Decided to try this place after seeing many positive reviews on Unilocal and because I love my street food. Came in super hungry with someone and decided to try all the things that you would get if it’s your first time getting Indian food. We got the butter chicken with rice, a chicken tikka masala roll, samosas, chaat papdi, and a mango lassi. Butter chicken with rice — I did not have much of this but the few bites I did have were very typical of what I would expect from a creamy sauce with chicken. Definitely comfort food that will fill you up with a lot of leftover rice. Chicken tikka masala roll — basically an Indian version of a burrito without rice but the roll that they use is nicely warmed and buttery so everything melts in your mouth. When I think of chicken tikka masala though, I think of a creamy bright orange sauce that this roll did not have. Regardless, the flavors were still very good. Samosas — I’ve had better samosas at Madras Masala but these are almost as good. My only problem with them is that they were fried a little too long and tasted just slightly burnt. Chaat papdi — My favorite dish! It was also waaaay larger than I expected. It is basically lots of small fried pieces of dough which serve as the«chips», with a lot of sauce on top which include a yogurt sauce, some different kinds of chutney, lentil strings and diced tomatoes. What caught me by surprise was that this dish is cold because of the yogurt sauce. However, the flavors are so wonderful that it didn’t bother me at all. This dish can be shared between 3 – 4 people and is generally on the heavier side. Mango lassi — pretty standard from what I’ve had before and yummy For a street food place, this restaurant is pretty clean and workers are nice and patient. Food is on the heavier side so I’d only go if I was pretty darn hungry

This is an unique Indian restaurant in Ann Arbor in terms of prices and the fact that it’s not really a sit down restaurant. For Ann Arbor standards, it’s more like a little hole in the wall and doesn’t feel pretentious. I’ve tried various chutneys, the paneer tikka masala with rice, the fried bread, and the mango lassi. Everything I tried was excellent. However, it is a little on the spicy side(at least to American tastebuds. I like a little spice, but not too much so I’m sure others wouldn’t think it’s spicy.) and unfortunately, there is no way to make any food item less spicy because they said they prepare the food elsewhere so it’s already premade. The mango lassi is a little on the sweet side as virtually every other mango lassi I’ve tried is. And finally, I’m not sure why but plain white rice from Indian restaurants always tastes so good and this place doesn’t disappoint!

My fiancé and I really like trying new places, and Curry On did not disappoint. We explained to the gentleman behind the counter that we had very little experience with Indian food and he patiently walked us through the menu. When our food arrived it was delicious, and they even gave us a little something extra to try. We will definitely be coming back, and we will probably bring friends.

Haven’t been here in a long time. They weren’t bad from what I remember or I wouldn’t have come back. Ordered: Onion Uttapam, Sev Puri, Sam-wich, Bombay Vadapav, Curry On Dosa, and Chili Idli. Wanted to try the Kachori Chaat and Faluda but they were out. Everything was good, not great. But when I don’t feel like driving to NeeHee’s, this place will do. Also order something other than butter chicken. Just saying.

Super fast service, average price, and only two meat dishes, so it is vegetarian/vegan friendly(I am not sure how many were cooked without butter.)

Me and my wife went to his place for my birthday for dinner. we ordered sev puri, vada sambar, and katti rolls which wasnt sufficient at all so had to order dosa and pav bhaji. Not so great as the reviews suggest, you would’nt really get the street food flavour. More americanised kind of food. Quantity is less, for 1person. So, should order atleast couple items for each. Didn’t seem fresh also. Neehees in canton lot better than this in terms of food even though Neehes is expensive and bad hospitality. Would not recommend this to my friends and family.

We were looking for some quick food to take on the road with us, so we saw Curry On and it was indeed fast service. The inconvenience of eating in the car may be partially our own fault, as we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Buttered Chicken. I was mostly disappointed in the take out containers. You would think that a take out place would have better containers rather than Styrofoam tubs saran wrapped a million times — a major barrier between me and the food. The food itself was very average. The Tikka Masala tasted like a creamier tomato soup. The chicken pieces were very large, which was good. The Buttered Chicken had very little chicken and too much Pepper and onion in my opinion. In general, this is a great place for fast Indian food.

Food was subpar. Management of this restaurant needs lots of improvement-the cashier told us they had no rice for butter chicken but we saw rice through the kitchen window when we were leaving.

This is a good place to try some Indian street food(snacks.) in Ann Arbor. Try samosa chaat. Its samosa with a lot of zing(read — spicy chickpeas with some chutneys to top off). It is not a place to really dig into that chicken tikka masala, although if you really want it, try the kati roll version. Dabeli is like a super spicy version of an Indian buger, with a potato patty. Try it, if you want to be blown away by the spices. If you want to expand your meaning of Indian food, the onion uttapam is a nice start. Its rice flour pan cake, and I am sure first timers will find it interesting. Although if you want the real deal, you need to drive to Canton and go to Neehee’s.

Good Indian street food However on sustainability you score very low. Non-reusable plastic glasses, styrofoam containers, plastic silverware. The recycling bin next to the trash is so small and inconspicuous that it makes it an environmental nightmare. You’re not the only business doing this but why not take some effort in improving in these areas too.

If yoy like Indian food but are looking for a quicker and more casual setting, check out Curry On! Unlike most Indian restaurants, the entrees are all priced under $ 9. The portions are a little smaller but it still is quite filling. The butter chicken and rice($ 7) was a thinner curry and the spice was more mild than hot. The samosas($ 3) were a great appetizer. The mango lassi($ 3) was more yogurt-y than mango-y. I give this place 4 stars simply for the friendly staff, fast service, and competitively priced food. Again, if you are looking for somewhere less casual, check out Cardomom or Taste of Suvai. I plan on coming back here to try a kati roll and the masala fries!

Mango lassi. Try it. Onion pancake. Eh, maybe pass. Chicken Tikka. Good, small proportion though. Samosas. Classic. I would go back, but I don’t think I would recommend over other Indian restaurants.

The wraps here make it so easy to enjoy Indian food on the go. I love the idea of serving the sauces and curries burrito-style, and it affords me so much more convenience without compromising on taste. Service is pretty quick, and it’s great to be able to eat my favorite Indian foods on a quick lunch break and wherever I want because I no longer need to spend 45 minutes at a sit-down restaurant dipping naan into curries. I tried the chicken tikka masala kati roll and it was delicious. The prices are really reasonable, and the roll was about the same length as a Chipotle burrito but skinnier. One concern, though, is that they seem to run out of ingredients pretty frequently. I came in at noon and they almost told me that there was no more chicken left. I don’t understand how they could run out at the very beginning of the day, and this has happened to some of my friends before too.
