I went on a Sunday morning around 8am, was seated by the hostess who was very nice. She brought me coffee right away and said Andrew will be right with you. 5 minutes later a couple are seated near me, and Andrew takes their drink order comes back takes their food order never even glancing over at me. I’ve been going every Sunday morning for a month and opening with 1 waitress is stupid. And Andrew was late. I’m out! Never coming back.

This location is trash, the service is terrible and the management is even worse. They have no idea how to run a restaurant and if you want a shitty fucking experience go here but I’d suggest going elsewhere

When I first walked in the service was great. I asked for orange juice and all I got was pulp. Though it wasn’t terrible. Their pancakes are heavenly. Doughy put crispy. I ate the sunshine skillet. That was really good. Potatoes in there were how they should be. Not soft nor hard. I wasn’t a big fan of the taste of the egg. But not everything is perfect. They almost charged us home fries. But other than that it was a nice breakfast at 3 pm.

Have been here twice and both times service was pretty bad. We sat for quite a while with our menus and its either a combination of new employees or not enough workers but we waited 30 minutes to even order our food and another 30 minutes to get it. Then when our food came out many things were wrong with our dishes. Our son got the wrong entrée which they corrected. My wife was missing items that came with the entrée. Mine was ok at least

Update: Made the mistake of coming here a third time. We had wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse next door but we were starving and the wait was 30 minutes there. We begrudgingly walked to Bob Evans due to our grumbling stomachs. We received the worst service so far. It was 9PM and there were a total of 4 other tables in the restaurant. I ordered two waters this time due to our previous experiences and during the wait, consumed both my waters, and my husband’s water. Our waitress walked by no less than 3 times, ignoring the empty glasses that lined the end of the booth. Moreover, the manager walked by at least 5 times, also ignoring them. After a comically long wait, the food was fine. I promise, this will be my last time here.

Terrible service! We waited over 15 minutes just to get served even though the place was empty. They kept pushing desert even before we ordered. We kept having to ask for our drinks. The food was bland and equivalent to frozen food. There is nothing good about this place. Avoid signing up via email for discounts since they are deceptive and covers only a portion of one meal. A 20% discount for example equals only $ 1.50 off the total bill what a rip off. Avoid this place.

The waitress helped us out very well and she was polite! This place has a friendly Midwestern All-American vibe and the breakfasts are delicious! Hot eggs and well cooked sausage make me happy! 5 stars

My sister and I stopped in because we wanted breakfast and it was past 1:00 so Bob Evans was a sure bet to get it. It was New Years Day but it was not crowded and we were seated promptly. The interior looked rather cheap compared to others I had been in. The back to our booth was a thin piece of fiberboard that moved when the person behind me leaned against it confirming my assumption. The waitress asked if we wanted drinks, we ordered coffee and rather then wait for her to return gave her our orders then and watched as she put them in the hand held electronic pad she had. We waited and waited and waited. I finally asked if our order was ready and she said she had just checked and no it wasn’t. Nearly a half hour later we got our order. Mine was minus my sausage links which she said she would bring shortly. A while later I got a dish of small blacken shapes on a plate which were them. I caught her as she passed and told her I tried to eat them but they were so burnt it tasted terrible. She said she agreed they were burnt as she noticed when she brought them out. She said she would remove them from my bill. We waited quite a while for the bill because of this as she had to get a manager. When she returned with my bill I noticed I was charged for two cups of coffee instead of one. Another long wait as she huddled with two other workers, one who I assume was a manager. I finally walked over and told them I had to go and needed my bill. She apologized and the manager quickly left. By this point I was very annoyed and suggested they comp the meal for all the problems. She stared at me instead of answering. I will not be returning and I suggest you not go until they get more and better line cooks and better fixtures ie seating.

The past 2 times I ordered chocolate chip waffles and each time they made them with the chips inside the batter. Perfect. So today I ordered them again and the chips came ONTOP of the waffles and not inside. I sent them back and they said the manager Pam said they could not put the chips inside as it would damage their waffle machine. I asked how is it that the machine is still working after they’ve been served the past 2 times to me here! She told me that the cooks have everything backwards and have been making them wrong. This place has been a goof up since they first opened, they always forget to bring my hot chocolate . Really??? Is this really happening? I can’t have waffles with the chocolate chips inside the batter? Idiots!!!

This is my third time here and it wasn’t a charm. I ordered hot chocolate, it never came. I ordered the sunrise and got the wrong order, and I never received my biscuits. The managers are so not in tune as to helping customers and making sure things go right with the wait staff. When will Ann Arbor get a real breakfast restaurant with great food and great service.

This review is about the service as we never got our food. Visited on New Year’s Day because Nick’s Original House of Pancakes was closed. It took a bit for us to get our drinks but we did get them in a relatively timely manner. After that my partner got coffee refills, but I didn’t get refills on my caramel mocha. When I asked for a refill she said there was a manager emergency. Another family showed up 20 minutes later and got served in the time we were there. After an hour of a couple coffee refills for my partner and no refill for me and no food we left.

I haven’t been to a Bob Evans in probably over 10 years, but after hearing of the new location and upon recommendation from my sister came here for breakfast on a Friday morning. My sister and I were seated promptly by a very friendly hostess. Our server too was incredibly nice and with her first stop at the table already had coffee in hand. Perfect! I ordered the apple cinnamon brioche french toast with sausage and my sister had their cinnamon pancakes with hashbrowns. Both dishes were actually good! Maybe I’m comparing it too much to IHOP but dang, this place blows IHOP out of the water. I also love that you can pay your check online without having to wait for your waiter to ring up your check. I’ll be back!

Well, my wish has been granted… I always wanted Bob Evan’s on this side of town and was happy when it was announced that they would open one by Meijer. It’s a lot smaller then the one on Carpenter Road, but I think it’s the perfect size for this side of town. I had an hour to kill after making some errands before heading to the office, so stopped by. Parking was easy… there’s two doors — one for pick up/carryout orders and the other for sit down. Was greeted and seated quickly… it was 9am, so it wasn’t busy. Waitress stopped by and got my coffee and after reviewing the menu, ordered the Big Breakfast with grits. Grits — 2 stars — something was missing; couldn’t get my hands on it though… but it was decent. Big Breakfast — scrambled eggs with sausage links and biscuits. The biscuits were little dry, but decent. I noticed the sausage links size are a lot smaller then it used to be… the eggs were decent. Coffee — for $ 2.19 breakfast blend, little weak for my personal taste… I would skip the coffee, get the water and go to Starbucks next door and get a coffee. Service — excellent. The waitress checked in on me, refilled the coffee w/o asking. The manager stopped by and asked if everything was good. I don’t know if it’s always like this, but it’s a lot better then my past experience at the other store. Overall, I would have given 3 stars, but due to the great and cheerful service I received as well as the free WiFi, I’m giving them a four stars.

For some reason, my partner and I have been obsessed with the idea of going to a Bob Evans, since the last time we visited one was in our childhood. Knowing that this was a brand new restaurant, we decided to try it out! The place was very clean and clearly new. The hostess was attentive and we were seated promptly. For perspective, we went at about 8:00 pm, not too distant from their closing hour. The restaurant, understandably, was not too full. We ordered mozzarella twists for an appetizer, recommended by our server. They were light, fried, and quite good! My partner and I settled on breakfast for dinner, through we were recommended the broasted chicken(which looked and smelled delicious). She chose the Ghiradelli double-chocolate pancakes, and I got their biscuits and gravy breakfast. The food arrived quickly, and it was very good. Her pancakes were heavy and decadent, definitely the perfect plate to share. My breakfast was savory, hot, and delicious. Also a good portion size for sharing. Our waiter was very attentive, and clearly knew the menu. My only complaint was that they were very clearly overstaffed at the end of the night, causing a lot of staff to stand around and loudly interact at the front of the house. I’m sure as time goes on, this will be remedied once they know their high/low traffic times. We’ll be back!

This is a brand-new Bob Evans. Certainly not like the one in West Lafayette, Indiana in my first doctoral program in the early 90s! Bright, cheery. and both servers and diners looked happy. I did not even know this restaurant was open for business(I pass by everyday) until I saw people eating inside. The broached chicken is the value pick here, folks. Complete meal 3-piece all dark meat because everyone knows that white breast meat is the biggest fraud perpetuated on the American public post-WWII. I was greeted warmly. When I entered the restaurant, I saw a really big guy holding a chicken leg in each hand, ramming the chicken into his mouth as fast as he could stuff it into his pie hole while his kids looked on with horrified looks on their faces. Wife too… Huge platter of broached chicken in front of him, half-eaten. That sold me on the chicken. Not greasy but succulent and juicy bursting with flavor. Maybe that is why the big dude was wolfing down his food! Don served me and did a great job; attentive without being intrusive. Manager explained that he cannot put big signs on Ann Arbor-Saline Road announcing they are now in business. What?! No signs?! Pinheaded City and landlord Nazis! Harumph! Management obviously has their act together here. Nice, upbeat environment. Left satisfied and full. Good eats here. Will definitely return!
