I have reviewed 2 other rifle ranges and I have been to many more in this area. My wife and I have been shooting for years, and we would consider ourselves good, but not tactical military good. We waited a long time for this place to open and we were not disappointed, it has: 1) Knowledgeable staff 2) Clean, well ventilated /lit shooting lanes 3) Variety of gun courses for new to advanced 4) Guns for rent 5) Excellent variety of guns and knives 6) Gun accessories and shooting supplies Memberships are very expensive, or I would give A3, 5 stars. It’s a large store and can be intimidating for a person new to firearms, but the people will put you at ease. Trust me when I say that this is a great place if you are a novice.

My country has very strict gun laws, so during a visit to Ann Arbor, I decided to come by Ann Arbor Arms in order to find out what the fuzz is all about. Everyone in the facility was courteous, helpful and knew what they were doing. The range itself is state of the art and seemed very well maintained. I got to shoot some of my friend’s rifles and handguns and the safety officer inside the range gave some great advice and helped out with a jammed rifle. Great fun overall for a fair price. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the US.

It’s nice to have a great sporting gun store in Ann Arbor. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great selection of good quality stuff. Not the typical junk stuff they sell at other places. I can’t wait to try out the gun range.

Ann Arbor Arms deserves all the good marks they can possibly get. Without getting too sappy, I just can’t say enough good about this place. You know the old Cheers television theme song that goes, «where everybody knows your name»? THAT is how I feel about A3. I can walk in and, no matter how busy they are, the staff greets me with a warm smile and even a handshake or two. Bill and Holli are such kind people and Danni adds that final touch of class! This just ain’t your Grandpa’s gun store! I hope anyone reading this gives Ann Arbor Arms a try because you will not be disappointed. Oh! … the Training Staff … just the BEST! Soon this community is going to realize what a gem we have locally with«World Class» trainers. Ok, I’ll turn –SAPMODEOFF– now. Thanks A3 and especially thanks for your support of our Veterans and Law Enforcement!

They tout themselves as an inviting and safe(for gun noobs) place to get information about guns. This description is very accurate, we had 60 mins in the tactical bay with an instructor who was so awesome and helpful(even giving us an extra 15 minutes at the end). He showed us different target scenarios that he plugged into the system so we could try different things other than just shooting at static targets. He let us use his gun(an old WWI .45) and his enthusiasm was infectious. My wife and I had such a good ‘date night’ there we will definitely be returning!

Easily the most beautiful and well lit gun store I’ve ever been in. They have a large selection of guns, and a huge selection of holsters. The range is the most high tech range I’ve ever seen. I’m in the hvac business and I can say their ventilation system is state of the art.

Frustrating. In from out of town, we thought it could be a good occasion to take some family members who had never been shooting before to teach them about it. We called to learn more about the range. We were told the hours(open until 5pm on this day) and staff answered our additional questions about how many people in a lane, the cost, how you could shoot for half an hour or an hour, etc. We piled the fam in the car and arrived at 4:10 where we were promptly informed by range staff that the last shooter went out to the range at 4pm. I said we were told the range didn’t close until 5pm and explained we only wanted to shoot for half an hour and we’d be out before closing time. He again refused, stating the range closes at 5pm but reiterating that the last shooter on the range goes out an hour before closing. Well. It would have been nice to be informed of this when we called to ask about the hours of the range before piling everyone in the car for an hour-long round trip to do nothing. When we’re told #1) The range closes at 5pm and #2) you can shoot for ½ an hour… I don’t think it’s a crazy assumption to think you can walk in at 4:10pm and have time to shoot. If this hour-ahead business is a firm rule, then anyone calling with questions about the range should be advised of such a policy.

Excellent, beautiful facility — including rental lanes! Very helpful & knowledgeable staff. A computer where you can do your background check in 10 minutes. A large, varied stock on display. I am tremendously impressed with this place, and glad it’s here. I even saw a box of 22LR here. If they can get that, they can get anything.

Friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff! They stock quality items and have a mom and pop shop feel. Can’t wait to stop in to the new facility and purchase another fine firearm.

What a beautiful facility. Lots of knowledgeable staff on-hand ready to answer questions and help with merchandise – is a big change from the old location. Range time is fairly priced. I don’t see the appeal of membership at this time… not enough perks to justify for now? I am thrilled to have a local place to keep«current» with my carry-pistol and handguns, that isn’t a «members only/gotta know someone» club(ugh!) Like another poster, I wish they had a resident gunsmith for repairs, sights, triage of feeder problems, customization, etc. I also don’t understand the AR obsession, as they are cheap-n-easy to fiddle with yourself, but to each their own. Prices are fair for some items, high for others, but gotta make $ somehow. :o) P. S. I shouldn’t mention it, I am terrible, but… as I am turning 40 and will get to start calling myself a cougar in a few years, I just have to add: some of the employees are very easy on the eyes! I had to mention this to my husband – he just rolled his eyes skyward. Heh! /Hides
