The brisket was tasty but expensive. Chicken tasty but dry. Sides– coleslaw dry and bitter from too much celery seed, mac salad watery, beans tasty. Salt potatoes delicious – I got 3 little taters to my order. Mediocre at best.

Good brisket, chicken, sausage, ribs and pulled pork. Sides are also good and served up in good portions. Get the cornbread!

This place is a Mom & Pop’s local bar joint with good food. The BBQ chicken and ribs are my choice when I frequent this restaurant. I absolutely love the Texas Chile, no one makes it like they do. Prices are very reasonable too.

This is my new favorite place in Western New York. I have been back quite a few times now, and have yet to be disappointed. A guy I work with who is originally from down south says that Desperados has the best brisket outside of Texas. Not only is the brisket to die for, but the sides are all homemade and amazing. Try the buffalo wing soup and Mac and cheese. The best! In my opinion, it blows that new Dinosaur BBQ place out of the water. There are a few caveats however. Bring cash because they do not accept credit or debit cards. Also, I have driven out there on two separate occasions only to find they were closed. The first time my friend and I arrived to a sign in the door stating that they were closed for lunch for the month of April. Another time my wife checked their Facebook page before we drove out on a Sunday, and it stated that they were open, but when we arrived, it was closed. The food is so good, that I am willing to overlook their antiquated payment system and weird hours. Just make sure you call ahead, if you don’t you may be disappointed by a closed sign.

Wow, we love this place! I dont know what that guy was talking about having things microwaved. Maybe he took too long in the restroom and his food got cold! LOL You can look in the kitchen through a serving window and see that everything is right there in the pots! This food is made fresh every day! We love the ribs! Their sauces are awesome, we took a few bottles home and we put it on our chicken we are roasting for the Super Bowl tonite! YUM They have a nice bar area and lots of neat beer to choose from as well as wine. The décor is really cool too, like being out west! The servers are polite and very fast, they always get a great tip from us! The location is really cool too, right by the RR tracks in the village. Its like going to an old western town! There are also alot of Antique Stores right there, we had a great time browsing and getting some neat stuff, then we went to dinner at Desperados! We had a wonderful time in Angola !!! Dont miss out on a wonderful Rib dinner! you have to visit! We give it 10 stars!

Just left this place and will never be back. We’ve had good food here before but something certainly changed. First my beer was served in a cracked glass and it was a hassle with the bartender to get it replaced. Then the food arrived. I received cold ribs and cold pulled chicken. My girlfriend received cold ribs and cold pulled pork. The side potatoes were cold as well, although the beans were hot. Apparently they are a microwave BBQ place now.

Just a great find. We were driving along I-90 and hit Unilocal for a lunch option and this place came up. Brisket was just great, but the real surprise was the corn pudding… damn. This place is not on the way to anywhere but if you’re in the Angola NY area it’s worth the stop.

They catered my brother’s graduation party and my post-wedding 4th of July cookout. Both times we were very pleased with the food. Quality is great and many people gave compliments. I like to give this place business as it is a small start up in the village of Angola; with that location they need all the business they can get! I highly recommend!

I really liked this place. It has a wonderful western feel and is in an old nicely restored building in the village. They have a bar to the left and the dining room is pretty much separate. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with cornbread and soup. The sandwich was delicious, moist, smokey chicken and they give you 3 sauces to choose from on the side. The cornbread was a little sweet, light, and had honey butter on top! I had the chicken wing soup which definitely had a lot of blue cheese in it and a lot of chicken. I wish it had a noticeable celery taste though. I tried a bite of the pear and walnut salad-it was very fresh and tasty. It had candied nuts and Gorgonzola cheese. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were extremely clean and pretty fancy. Their menu had a good amount of items and they had a specials board also. If I had room I would have tried dessert, they had probably 5 different options. I will be back!
