Salon Invi

If you want a great hair cut you always have to go to the Pro’s like Salon Invi.
Amanda does an excellent men’s cut and is quick and efficient.
Cost is actually less then most Salon’s.
Not sure why there was 1 start review being the review focused on being nice.
You go to Salon Invi to get a professional hair cut, its not a therapy session.
Wish they took credit cards for the tip which means need to carry cash or a check, which is somewhat annoying.

The stylists are great, the shop is beautiful and the shampoo chairs are a dream. The unfortunate departure of their long time receptionist has lessened this salon for me. Twice, I booked appointments and when I arrived at the salon, my appointment was either booked incorrectly or not in the book at all. I am a long time customer and have had a great experience up to this point. I have even referred 3 friends to the salon. The first time it happened I was willing to write it off as an honest mistake but twice in a row it inexcusable. My fabulous stylist fit me in anyway but it’s unfortunate this happened at all. The front desk staff turned a would be 5 star review to 3.

I moved from downtown Boston stylist to salon invi and have been very happy ever since. Kristin is a real pro when it comes to color. She may not be chatty but I appreciate that, she concentrates on her craft and gets down to business. My color is the best it has been in years. I should mention the cut as well… fantastic. I’m very happy with my switch and look forward to my afternoon at the salon which has the best shampoo/​massage chairs ever. I also appreciate that they only do hair so they are very focused.

I was really looking forward to getting a haircut here with Kristin, since this salon got top rating in BONS for best haircut and I am new to the North Shore. The salon was very professional and I loved the brown tones in which it was decorated. For the first twenty minutes or so, I was really enjoying being there. However, ultimately, I was vastly disappointed. Kristin, my stylist, happened to be at the counter when I entered and was super friendly when greeting me. However, her friendliness ended there. I’m assuming something must have happened between the time she greeted me and the time she started cutting my hair. Otherwise, I can’t explain her lack of niceness. She seemed really tense and highly irritated. She got annoyed that I didn’t want a special hair treatment, literally did not smile the entire time she was cutting my hair (even when I tried to make conversation and joke around) and only asked me one question the whole time she was cutting my hair — definitely not the friendly chit chat I pretty much always experience with hairdressers. She yanked on my head, ordered me around rudely, and barely said a word except to chastise me for the poor quality of my hair. Especially after the very friendly woman who washed my hair and conversed with me, this was a surprise. Additionally, Kristin seemed irritated that I thought there were chemicals in the hair treatment. I was disappointed that she was not more knowledgeable about hair products given her experience and the supposed quality of the salon. Most hair products have chemicals in them unless they are organic, which I don’t think this salon is. I noticed Chris doing someone’s hair next to me while at the salon, and he seemed super friendly and knowledgeable, but I just wouldn’t want to take another chance with this salon. If something did happen to Kristin before she cut my hair, she could have just apologized up front or afterwards and I would have completely understood. As it was, though, I would definitely not go back here. Note, too, that I purchased the haircut online ahead of time, so they wouldn’t let me take advantage of the 20% off for new customers. They said I could use it towards my next visit there, which I will definitely not be having. Too bad. I hope this salon gets there business/​training in order, because it would be a great place otherwise.

Chris, Kristin and his unforgettable staff are top notch; I don’t write a lot of reviews but do write them when deserved. The fine folks at Salon Invi have take care of my family and friends for years. You know when you find a great coach, mentor, trainer, agent, stylist, you stick with them. Salon Invi provides that. Their salon is immaculate, trendy, efficient and friendly. Invi provides an upscale service at a great price. They do whatever they can to make sure your experience is «unforgettable». They truly focus on providing amazing service.
