Great breakfast spot in Andover. Filled to capacity when we arrived on a Tuesday morning at 10:00 am. Seems the food at the Farmstead isn’t so great. Dinner the next evening wasn’t so great. The cocktail sauce was gelatinous and the salads are primarily iceberg lettuce. On the plus side, April was so gracious, serving us even though we arrived just before closing. The mashed potatoes were real potatoes, the soup was homemade, and the waffle made Grandma so happy. We will probably frequent Pappy’s whenever we are in Andover for breakfast.

Fantastic«mom and pop» type diner. Breakfast is amazing but you can’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu. The Bloody Mary on the bar side is made with infused vodka and is delicious.

Pappys is the small town diner in the big city. The staff is great and the food is incredible! Been there about 5 times so far. I am convinced everything on the menu is epic good.

My normal brunch spot was packed, so we went to Pappys on a whim. We wanted mimosas so we went to the Tavern side. Service was good, food was EXCELLENT. I had a Western Skillet with a side of Hollandaise. Hash browns were PERFECT. This might be my new favorite brunch spot.

First visit was there today and so very disappointed. We had to send our food back 2 times and by all rights should have sent it back a third. We felt so sorry for our server after hearing the kitchen yelling at her for their mistakes we wanted to save her the trouble. We also heard their condescending remarks about our knowledge of food as well. They need an experienced kitchen staff. Ordered my food well done and it came out almost rare. The others ordered theirs medium well and it came out rare. Mashed potatoes were cold, etc. I grew up working in a highly respected restaurant which my mother managed. I worked in it as well for 10 years. Only the highest of standards were accepted and it was a family business not a big national chain. I hope this is a wake up call for this place. Sadly I will never return even though the server a delightful girl was wonderful. I actually felt bad for her for the things I heard spoken to her from the kitchen staff about us sending our food back. The reviews here for breakfast were good. I guess we should have ordered breakfast.

Very disappointed. I got the Thanksgiving dinner. Son got the appetizer sampler. After being told that they were out of the cheese curds and mozzarella sticks. I was hoping for a nice meal. Nope. Gravy was very bland and over everything. I should have read the menu better because it doesn’t come with stuffing.

Awful food, soup was cold, sent it back. Had turkey dinner that came out cold also. Had BLT with outside of lettuce that you throw away. The tomato was so thin did not taste anything. The employees are sitting at the bar complaining about working there. Don’t go. Bar tender is more involved in yelling at the tv than waiting on customers.

The Pappy’s Everything Skillet is, well, everything you want for breakfast. Eggs Benny were awesome. Great food. Excellent service. Terrific prices. We’re here when we visit the Twin Cities!

The food is awesome! Had the hot beef, and it was great and large! Service was great as well. The price is cheap for the amount of food you get. You must try this place out!

First visit to Pappy’s — based on the great score here on Unilocal.Plus, I hate going to chains and love to support a small non-chain restaurant like Pappy’s. That being said, I had high hopes that were mostly met. The Sunday crowd was thick and old, so there was a wait. You can’t rush those walkers with wheels. Seriously, I don’t know how they don’t tip forward. Anyway, the average age of the customers had to be about 60, and people that age — myself included — just can’t be rushed. So, we went and ran some errands and came back 40 min later. The same people were still there. People like to linger and take their time at Pappys — for sure. I didn’t see Pappy, but the food was good. The service was slow, but if you need time to talk about all your ailments, you probably won’t notice. The cost was expensive — $ 35 for myself and 2 kids for 2 omelettes and a waffle. That’s not a great deal. Our server was friendly and full of laughter — like she couldn’t rush the 30 minutes it was taking to make 2 omelettes and a waffle, so why fight it??? Ahh, the joy of just relaxing at work. The kitchen pickup is in clear view and I observed the kitchen staff were turning out one full meal every 5 minutes. I guess that’s good. Anyway, the food was good and I will go back to try both Pappy’s Café and the Pappy’s Tavern next door. Maybe I can up the rating…

The breakfast was amazing, but it was the waitress that made the whole experience!!! Good waitresses are hard to find and now I know why… They all work here!

We have been going there for a LONG time. I tried something different tonight and ordered a quesadilla without onion. I got it and took 2 bites and realized it had onion on it. The server said they would take it off our bill. We got our bill and it was not taken off at all. We mentioned it to our server and she said that the cook told her I ate ½ of it and they took ½ off the bill which was BS because I am allergic to onions. We didn’t argue and just paid the bill, but you better believe we will not be going back there.

I love this place! Best breakfast ever. Stop by on a Sunday morning and the restaurant is packed! So worth the wait though, I love the sense of community, nice family atmosphere.

A friend & I stopped in last night… Nice digs, roomy & average volume. Great music selection. I had a club sammich, she a breakfast selection. Both thought the food was good, not out of the park, but average good. Our intention was to «meet for a beer» however once we got there we were a little bummed, as craft beer lovers, to find that they only carried your run of the mill domestic… Our server was knowledgeable as to why they didn’t have craft selections. We will probably go back some day as last night was not a bad experience, just your average experience.

Wow, great breakfast! He had the everything omelette & I had the Eggs Benedict. Neither of us could finish, the hollandaise sauce was amazing & they were generous with it. The hash-browns were a perfect blend of crispy & just greasy enough. Service was fast & friendly, we’ll be back soon!

I visit friends in the area regularly, and this is one of our favorite Sunday breakfast/brunch spots. The wait staff are very friendly and we are often greeted with a hug. We sit on the tavern side of the restaurant so we can enjoy a bloody mary with our food. I always get the Western Omelet and take half of it home after eating all the hash browms and nibbling on toast. Friends enjoy the raqspberry fritter french toast, or country fried steak. I’ve also had an excellent burger here. The staff always works to ensure that you feel like family and enjoy your meal. I have enjoyed several meals here over the last few months! I only give four stars because it is also a sports bar which has the current game playing. It’s not my thing, but you may have a five-star experience if you want to watch the game.
