Food is good. Nice cute little spot was not crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Me and my friend had yellow beef curry and fried calamari and everything was fresh and the service was good I would come again.

This is my favorite Thai place in Andover! Also my go to when I want a healthier Chinese option. Their food is always great and the owners really care about their food. On numerous occasions they have talked to us during dine in asking about the spiciness of a particular meal, or the timeliness, they are always looking to improve and it shows in the quality of their customer service and food. During the winter my favorite is to do a hot pot. I also love their dancing noodles dish. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and explore the whole pallet.

This is our favorite place for Thai. The food is so fresh and delicious — everything is always cooked perfectly. We always leave satisfied and so appreciative of the wait staff that go out of their way to please. We are so lucky to have this special gem nearby.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Andover. Delicious, authentic cuisine; excellent service; beautiful space. My favorite dishes on the menu are definitely the Massaman Curry and Spicy Eggplant. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options! Full alcohol and cocktail menu too, which was a lovely surprise. The manager, Apple, is a delight and always happy for a chat with her customers. Can’t say enough great things about this gem of a restaurant. 5 stars!

VERY poor service. We ordered from the menu. On the menu is a list and on top of the list it says something like«chicken or tofu $ 9.95, shrimp or beef or salmon $ 9.95, scallop or soft shell crab $ 9.95». So I picked something from the list and chose salmon. The check came back to be $ 15.95. I asked the server(Angie) about it and she said«because it is seafood so it is more expensive». I told her that it is not what is written on the menu and asked to see the menu again. She brought the menu, saw the $ 9.95 on all and yelled«But you know that there is no way seafood is the same price!!!» We calmly stated that it is what is on the menu. she yelled a few things before leaving our table. Then came back pointing to another part of the menu where a note *specific to another dish* that says $ 3.00 more for seafood. We said but that is not referring to what I ordered, she left, came back with the revised check ANDTHREWITONOURTABLE. Food had gone down in quality. Their Tom noodle soup used to be very good. Now it’s SOGGY noodles in some broth(the broth is still quite tasty, to be fair) with a few strands of bean sprouts and whatever meat that you ordered. I didn’t bother to point out that in any case $ 9.95 + $ 3.00 does NOT equal to $ 15.95. Will not go back.

Poor service: very slow & inexperienced waitstaff who can’t answer basic questions about dishes. They had to track down sriracha for us. We had to ask for chopsticks & water. No one checked in after we received our meal. We also had to correct the server’s pricing error on our check, which was annoying, staff need better training. Want to like the food but it’s on the bland side & very inconsistent. They’ve been open too long to still be having growing pains. Perhaps they need to staff up. Overall it’s pricy for such an uneven experience– we will pay for quality food & service– but there’s tastier Thai food & good service elsewhere– so we won’t be back. It’s too bad because we’ve given it a few tries & really wanted to like it.

We love the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodle. We get takeout from One Thong Chai every few weeks and it is always consistent and delicious. Highly recommend.

I was craving Thai so I figured I would try this place. When we came we were the only patrons no big deal. We ordered two different noodle dishes and the tidbits app that came with a few things. The appetizer was good overall except the shrimp was still raw which was a little bit of a turnoff. The drunken noodles were pretty good however the second dish was just ok. Prices are a little higher than other Thai places in the area. Also it was freezing inside in which We had to keep our coats on to eat which was a little uncomfortable. I would try it again possibly.

Me and my daughter have been going here for 2 – 3 years and we LOVE it. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is unbelievable!!! Everything on the menu is incredible and you will absolutely LOVE One Thong Chai.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Ordered a few plates but the yellow curry with shrimp was the star of the dinner, the worst thing is the portion is too small. I read the chicken wings were great, but I would disagree. They are just ok, not seasoned, just deep friend and served. I saw another table who apparently knew how to order, it looked great. I am a novice at Thai food, will have to come back and figure this out.

Just too inconsistent… I wish it were better, but you just never know what quality you might get. Sometimes it can be pretty good if you are looking for a quick lunch.

First time at this quaint place in downtown Andover. Well prepared Yellow Curry with fresh vegetables. Ginger Salmon was good but not great — just not interesting. Looking forward to trying more dishes and will update review.

Just finished eating my delivery order and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I ordered from here since my normal Asian delivery option of choice, Hokkaido, was unexpectedly closed due to a water main break. Based on the positive reviews and pricey menu(nearly 50% more expensive than Hokkaido) I was expecting great stuff. I ended up ordering the«General Chicken» which I presumed to be their version of General Gau’s Chicken and 5 Thai Rolls with extra peanut sauce. The order arrived in a timely fashion; however, when it came to the contents of my delivery bag, I was met with the letdown of a mediocre meal and small portion sizes. The«General Chicken» was basically like eating lukewarm, General Gau soup! The breaded chicken was completely saturated in a watery, semi-warm liquid of a sauce. It tasted like I had accidentally run the faucet over a perfectly good order of General Gau’s… Additionally, the tray only contained about 8 small pieces of chicken(breading dripping off) and peppers/other veggies which seemed completely uncooked. Overall, not what I was expecting, especially for $ 13.95 less tax… The Thai Rolls were pretty good, but the Sweet ‘N Sour dipping sauce, like the General Chicken’s sauce, was like water and did not have an agreeable taste. And that peanut sauce I ordered? It may’ve looked like it was made of peanuts, but you’d never know from the signals your taste buds are sending! Blech! Lastly, to add insult to injury, a $ 5 delivery fee, independent of any tip, is charged to each order $ 31 later and I’m left with a substandard meal, a hole in my wallet, and regret for not ordering pizza instead. Not only was it more expensive and less satisfying than my usual joint, but the serving sizes were smaller; though, this probably was for the best now that I think about it. Maybe the food here is just cut out for sit down eating, but let this review be a cautionary tale of what delivery may bring. Order at your own risk.

I came here again for lunch and my five star rating still holds true. Our server, Kitty was super friendly, conversational and fast. I «checked in» and used a 10% off coupon that they were able to accept. I decided on one of their lunch specials — the Pad Thai bento box and it was full of food! The Pad Thai was tasty as always and it included an egg roll, dumpling, small salad, assorted fruits and soup. I enjoyed everything! I had to take half of my Pad Thai home because they were so generous with the portions. I tried my sister’s Massaman Curry and it was delicious. We also tried their papaya salad which we thought tasted okay — we prefer something that’s less fishy tasting and more spicy! Other than that, I was again impressed by their food and service. They are becoming my go-to when I’m having Thai cravings :)

I was very excited to find a local place that offers scallion dumplings and the woman taking my order was very sweet… then my order arrived. The dumplings were the soggiest, greasiest, overpriced(2 dumplings, cut in halves for the price of 3) disgusting things I’ve ever attempted to eat. The pad Thai wasn’t bad but ridiculously overpriced. $ 10.95JUST for noodles, then add $ 3 for 5 tiny little overcooked shrimp that are normally included for much less money at other Thai places. Do yourself a favor and go to Thai Sweet Basil in Shawsheen plaza instead of this Styrofoam-packing place. Yeah… Styrofoam. Seriously? And don’t expect management to accept ANYTHING negative on Unilocal about their disgusting food. They’ll email you with lame excuses instead of learning how to make their business better. I replied once and said my peace… I’m not wasting any more time on this unprofessional waste of space. Run far away!

Trying this place at the location was a great decision. We tried some amazing dishes some great Thai juices and the service was amazing. The appetizer we had got initially was the lobster Rangoon, it came out still kind of frozen, they immediately made up for it made us another one and also gave us 10% off the bill for their error. The staff was super friendly gave us may suggestions I tried the Larb Gai salad with brown rice which was amazing. Flavorful, spicy, the freshness was just superb Our friends had the Basil chicken both of them liked the dish. My boo got the Beef Drunken Noodle an die really liked that. The Roselle Thai juice was so good, light sweet but subtle. Very refreshing. Their Thai Tea was perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. I was overall impressed with quality of food and service. We will be back.

A really nice Thai resturant located in center of Andover. Plenty of street parking. Food and service are always great. Very clean place. Me and my wife go there all the time when we want to have Thai food. Their scallion pancake are very good. My wife loves the vegetable fried rice, my favorite is thai curry. Be careful ordering spicy food. I love spicy food, but there 4 star sets my mouth on fire. This is definitely a must try Thai around Andover.

We went to One Thong as it was super cold and we wanted some hot phở. The whole experience was just okay, however so many little things added up so make only 3 star experience. –The place was freezing cold inside. We all had to wear out winter coats. –Drink prices are way steep. — The Thai iced tea was mostly ice, and not a good value. –Our waitress did not know the menu all too well. We also had trouble communicating with her. –The seafood for the phở is frozen and not fresh. — Scallion pancake was really good, esp the nice gingery dipping sauce. –The phở was just ok. Served in a mild chicken broth, I got the beef which was thick, tough and chewy. No siracha or hoisin sauce was offered. Just a small side of sprouts and Thai basil was given, BF’s drunken noodles were very good. I would have preferred that over the phở soup. Very nice and friendly owner and waitress. Also liked the fresh flowers in the bathroom, a nice touch! I would return, but not for the phở.
