Lashinski Septic Service

Lashinski’s have never done me wrong. They have always been very respectful of our home and we have done business with them for years. They have never added unnecessary costs and always explained exactly what they needed to do and get approval before performing the work.

Lashinski Septic is trying to bill us for work that we never authorized him to do. We currently have a complaint into the MN Attorney General as well as the BBB as we think his business practices are unacceptable. We were having some issues with our septic system and had calls into a number of plumbers and septic specialists. Lashinski called back first and indicated that he would be «in the area» and «could swing by to take a quick look». We indicated we would not be home. At no time did Jim mention any fees associated with the trip. His diagnosis of the problem was incorrect and we hired another professional to fix our problem — a bad pump. Jim wanted to charge us $ 300 to thaw some ground and another $ 450 to pump our system — neither of which would have fixed the problem. He sent us a bill 2 weeks later for $ 172 — a service charge for when he stopped by (no one was home) and for him accessing some public septic pumping records. He never disclosed his fees and we never hired him!
