Hired Warren The Handyman to repair some rotten fascia boards on roof and to do some minor exterior fixes, also a small patch on bathroom ceiling. Looked over the work, gave us a quote for ALL of it. Returned to do the bathroom only stating that it would require several layers to finish but too windy to do roof work. Returned and repaired minor siding and trim repair and replacement but when got onto the roof he stated that it was more involved than originally suspected. When I said he looked over the work on his initial visit and said that he could and would do it for the quote he gave us he DIDNOT get up on the roof to inspect himself. Stated he would knock 200 off his quote for the unfinished roof repair which should have been the most expensive part of his work and require the most materials? He had the wood on the back of his trailer to complete the repair but now told me that he would require more guys, more time and more money. The work that was done was minimal and required little materials. Received no itemized bill just payed him the quote minus the 200 which was extremely costly considering the work performed. We feel stupid and taken advantage of! Hope this helps someone to learn from our mistake. Get a written quote for work and do your homework when hiring. He is listed with Home Advisor and all reviews are glowing? They would not let me do a review because I didn’t find him through their site.
