Yuuuuum. The the Duck Egg BLT is to die for. Pair it with a mimosa and you’re set. The staff is really friendly. A great local breakfast destination.

My mom and I were looking for a place that served breakfast until noon and I found Mr Rivers on Unilocal and we decided to try it. I am from Asheville NC home of Tupelo Honey and Early Girl and Mr Rivers tops them both. Portions are huge and the creamy grits are amazing, as are the pancakes. Brenda the manager was great, very friendly and welcoming. If you are a breakfast lover like my family is then go to Mr Rivers, you will be glad you did.

I had heard several locals mention this joint and decided to give it a try. Not at all disappointed! We had several in our party and had to share… passed the plates! Everything was fresh and delicious! The chicken biscuit with gravy was amazing! A must try! The picture is of the Farmer’s Breakfast. We will return. Maybe next week!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Mr. Rivers. I wasn’t super impressed with the selection as there wasn’t much to choose from and it was a bit pricey but I did find something I enjoyed. I am excited to go back and try something different.

Been there one time, but I will say that the gravy is some of the best gravy I have EVER had. I ain’t shittin’. It’s really good. Anderson needs a good breakfast joint downtown that’s not the same olé, same olé. That’s not speaking bad about the other businesses but Mr. Rivers is refreshing. All that I ask is that the owners hire more help because the poor girls in there were killing themselves to keep up. Nevertheless they did a great job and were working very hard. Go check it out!

I was so exciting coming to Mr. Rivers Breakfast Joint because I’ve been wanting another breakfast place and here we found one right in downtown! First off, they did a great job updating the space inside –it looks great! We were brought the Fried Doughnut Appetizer by our server which was on the house! My husband and I had to stop after one to save our appetite for the main dish –they were delicious and served with honey whipped butter(yum). Every table + bar was packed so a wait on food was expected. However it came within 15 minutes. I had a regular mimosa which wasn’t as sweet and bubbly as I wanted but maybe that’s how some like it. My husband and I split the Farmers Breakfast and we added one pancake. The eggs were cooked spot on, sausage was pretty good, but the home fries were overlooked, unfortunately. Also the biscuit had a simple but pleasant taste. I enjoyed the pancake and the syrup was delightful! We were definitely full with our portions. They also have some specials listed that looked really tasty and we will make sure to try them next time! The pricing was a bit more than what we would have priced the food items as however we are excited to have a breakfast joint in downtown. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and the staff was friendly. Definitely recommend!
