This restaurant is not open. There was a large fire there which completely destroyed the building.

We almost did not go because of the reviews but our meals were great and the service was excellent. Prices were reasonable for location and portions. Atmosphere is nice but I’d suggest they hide the server’s station with a wall or decorative screen. We’d eat here again.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was not good at all. The chicken was very tough and chewy. It tasted like it was cooked, sat for a while and then reheated. Our server was very friendly and gave great service however when the food is no good I can’t give a good review. The rest of my group said there food was ok but nothing spectacular.

The management and staff at this restaurant are amongst the most clueless I have encountered in any state or in the 15+ countries I have visited. Had an insect in our food… ANINSECT! Management didn’t even ask to take it off out check, just asked if we wanted a replacement. Un-be-lievable…

Server was as nice as could be however everything else was worse than the worst I have ever experienced. The appetizer showed up and before we had a chance to get past tasting it our salads showed up. So not wanting a soggy salad we pushed appetizer aside and started salad that had a raw roll. Before we could decide if we like it our burgers arrived. We both ordered medium well and they arrived bloody inside. I ordered sweet potato fries and they brought regular. When asked if everything was alright I nicely informed our server The mgr arrived and she could not care any less. After paying in I’ll for our meal, we left without eating. A 99 cent burger would have been better.

I don’t normally go to JPeters(even though I live right here in town) but last night I was looking for a last minute place for myself and 9 of my friends and family to eat so we ended up here. To be honest it was a bad decision. They don’t accommodate well for large parties– no matter where they put you, you will feel crammed in. Food was served in a timely manner and service was great, but the quality of the food was lacking. I started with the Hot Lava Shrimp(picture posted), one of my favorites. I get this at other places and it’s always done differently so I decided to try it here. The battered shrimp was so overcooked that I was having trouble finding the shrimp inside! It was far to crunchy and tasted as overcooked as it looked. The sauce was okay, very one dimensional. I was not very happy especially seeing as their appetizers cost as much as a meal: this one was $ 8. For my meal I got the soup and salad combo with a house salad with ranch and the She-Crab soup. The salads here are great because they are very big and piled with bacon, eggs, and almonds. Then again, it’s not too hard to make a good salad. When my soup came(picture posted), I ordered an extra plate of their honey butter croissants(another $ 5 for 5 of them but these things are the only thing at this restaurant that is consistently delicious) and dug in only to find bits of crab shell in my soup the whole time I was eating it. It is a great soup, but picking the shell out of my mouth ruined it. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the $ 30 price tag. I’ve eaten plenty more at other places for much less. $ 30 for an appetizer, soup/salad, and extra bread? To say I was disappointed after is a bit of an understatement. The croissants earned the first star, and the friendly service earned the second. Can’t find any other reasons to rate this place more. If you find yourself in Downtown Anderson looking for a great, local place to eat, there are at least 3 much better restaurants only a short walk away from here. Normally I do not post bad reviews after a negative experience at a restaurant without first attempting to contact management, but their websites have no contact forms and social media is non-existent.

It is hard to find great tasting gluten free food but this is a place one can find it. I was very impressed. The fries were awesome and gluten free!!! Atmosphere was very inviting and service was top notch. Next time in greenwood I will come by.

The food is good. Salads are fantastic. Kids menu leaves a lot to be desired especially if your kids don’t eat typical kid food. Music is way too loud. Servers could be better.

Love this food. It is very good. I have ordered take out at least 10 times and it has been great. The shrimp platter is my favorite. But the grilled chicken sandwich is(with no sauce!) is awesome! I highly recommend eating here.

I travel for work and when I come to Anderson, SC, I always stay in this area. Between the chains of Outback, Wild Wing Café, Hooters, and Subway. .. I felt like trying J. Peters. Worst mistake of my day. The atmosphere is horrible, there was a large group and the acoustics in the restaurant is horrible. The whole place echoed the groups conversation and laughter to a point where it was disturbing to the entire restaurant. The she crab soup was sub par, the menu was disappointing, basic dishes, nothing but bland flavors up and down the menu. I thought«how could I go wrong with a grilled chicken sandwich?» The bun was not toasted so the sandwich fell apart the moment I picked it up. They covered it in bacon and cheese because the chicken had very little flavor, the sweet potato fries were the frozen variety that had very little taste. I usually stay away from the chain places because it’s the same thing every where you go. I actually went to Subway right after for a sandwich because it wasn’t worth the calories to finish my meal here at J. Peters

This is my families favorite place. Good food, great customer service, and even better atmosphere for the whole family. We go at least once or twice a month. Never any issues. Wings, seafood platter, and house salads are our favorite dishes. The croissants are impeccable!!!

I kept hearing about this place… Every time I passed by, it was crowded. The food is decent, for a corp chain type of place(like Chili’s), but if you want real food where the chefs are skilled at what they do, then this isn’t the place for you. Typical large portions are the selling point. I would note that the smoke in the smoking section does not know to stay in the smoking section of the facility. That is why I don’t give it a 3-star rating.

Good Food. Rushed service. I’m not normally asked if I want desert before I’m half way into the main course. When I said I don’t think so, I got the check. Let’s just call it «rushed service»

Appropriate wait time for a Saturday night… server was excellent — stayed on top of every aspect of our meal(drinks, removing finished plates, etc.)…Prime Rib was very good… salad was very good… honey-butter croissant was excellent… prices are reasonable. Overall thumbs up on this location.(there is also a downtown Anderson location)

Went down to Ram Cat alley and visited JPeters as locals seem to say its good. The bar is awesome if you want to go there to watch a game. Very large bar with plenty of tv’s. We sat down right away, I ordered the 1 rack of ribs with a loaded baked potato. Came with a side salad which was almost a meal in itself. For 16.99 that meal was pretty damn worth it. The ribs fell right off the bone and the salad was amazing. Everyone else got the JPeters salad which seemed like a large version of my salad with a few extras on it. You would easily be able to split that salad with someone and always have room for dessert. Overall this is one of the better places in Seneca. Would definitely go back.

What year is this? 1980? Who still allows smoking in restaurants? We left immediately. It is super smokey. Go here for a sweet load of lung cancer. What year is this? 1980? Who still allows smoking in restaurants? We left immediately. It is super smokey. Go here for a sweet load of lung cancer.

JPeters has a very good reputation over all — but this one is not so good for their average. This one is called JPeters Interstate and is just so-so. The JPeters Original in downtown Anderson is excellent, as is the JPeters Metro on Woodruff Road in Greenville. At JPeters Interstate we had to ask for ketchup for our french fries well after the food had been delivered and the runner did not ask if we needed anything else. The club sandwich was not as nice as at the other two mentioned locations. The waiter did put on a display of «nice» just before bringing the check — interesting timing.
