Hampton Inn & Suites

It’s what you would expect from a Hampton Inn, comfortable room, clean room, and a friendly staff. At this particular location the doors to the room seem to slam shut pretty loudly and it can easily be heard in the room when others are entering or exiting their rooms. It was a little disturbing but thankfully it didn’t wake me up when I was sleeping. But if you’re a light sleeper it could wake you.

The Hampton Inn in Anderson advertises rooms that sleep five. But when we arrived, they gave us a room with 2 double beds. When I questioned sleeping 5, the manager quizically said, «well I guess you could if you slept 3 people on one of the double beds. I asked if this was their largest room? Yes. I asked about a room with a sofa bed? The only one is one that has a king bed. I asked what about roll-​away beds. They said none are provided. Then, how in the world can you advertise a room that sleeps five? This is a fraudulent and deceptive practice. They mislead the consumer into reserving a room with an expectation and then upon arrival, have no resolution to misleading advertising.

This is a new hotel and it’s in line with all other Hampton Inns. We stayed here for a family wedding. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. The beds are plush and cozy. Plus you get a fridge in your room for no extra price.
Staff was friendly even when we checked in at 2am.
I like that they have a pool with hot tub, fitness center, free breakfast and free wifi. The breakfast isn’t bad if you aren’t after anything healthy. It’s mostly pastries, pancakes, waffles, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee (which is pretty good for a hotel). They do have fresh cookies in the afternoon but they disappear quick. They also have a basket of fruit out, but none of it was ripe the 3 days we were there.
I like staying at Hampton Inns when I travel because you know what you’ll get. And they are a quality hotel especially because they have free internet and breakfast. I would highly recommend for Anderson, IN.
