This was tonight’s SPECIAL @ $ 6.99! The batter on the fish was so light and crispy! The fish was so fresh and flakey! YUMMY! TED has also created a new coleslaw — a lighter version with added Jicama. COMEEARLYANDCOMEOFTEN! We can’t wait to taste what come out of the kitchen next! =^.^=

Well, the view was nice anyway. My dish was alright(burger) but after sampling many other menu items ordered by the rest of the party I have to say the food was mediocre at best. Service could have been way better but hopefully that was because of the live music they had that night and the massive influx of people to see the band(didn’t look crowded to me). best restaurant food on the island? no best restaurant view on the island? possibly bottom line: Well, you won’t starve I guess…

We had friends over to the island and decided to walk to the restaurant for a late Sunday breakfast. The restaraunt began filling up quickly and initially it took a while to get our drinks but otherwise everything was excellent! All of us got omlettes of varying kinds but began tasting each other’s because they were all so delicious!!! My friends really enjoyed their Bloody Marys. My OJ was sweet and little pulp. It’s hard to find good OJ and this hit the spot. The large Servings were proportioned for the price. Definitely needed the walk home. Wonderful customer service and ambiance as we ate on the deck and enjoyed the lake on a sunny Sunday..

As far as the food by itself 1 Star. Tasteless food with ice cold A/C Final 2 Star! The entrée in question is ‘Bristol Chicken.‘ My Occupational Therapist says my urine has too much sodium and sugar, so I’m trying lower my blood pressure by cutting down on salt, but c’mon this blasted chicken had zero flavor! This is my first time here, but I seemed to have ordered the wrong dish. I’ll be back if I have another deck referral job, but it’s not like I have a friggin choice on Anderson Island. …DON’T ORDERTHEBRISTOLCHICKEN…

This restaurant has gone through a lot of changes but is overall decent food at very good prices. Even better is the view! Service is also consistently good for us.

A bit of expectation setting to begin with: Anderson Island only has about 1,200 year-round residents, so if you are expecting gourmet dining, you are going to be disappointed regardless. In the case of Lake Shore Rivera Restaurant, this lowered expectation is the only thing saving it from a one-star review. Service: Our server was pleasant throughout, but was clearly in the weeds even when we sat down. Attention was very limited, normally only coming to apologize for continuing delays out of the kitchen. Our drinks were not refilled and getting the bill took an excessively long time. Food: Oh boy, we had a group of eight people and three dishes that were ordered never showed up – ever. This was despite multiple assurances that items we «on their way». A pizza that was ordered finally came out well after everyone else was finished with their meal(approximately 35 minutes after other meals came out). The food that did come out ranged from mediocre to flat out terrible. The pizza was sub-Chuck E. Cheese level and the battered mushrooms were inedible. We appreciated that the pizza was comped. Ambiance: The lake is lovely and there was a decent band playing. Seating is mostly at folding 6’x30″ tables with vinyl table cloths, but that may have been due to the band playing. Overall verdict: Unless you find yourself with no other option, avoid dinning here.

Don’t even stop for water. My 4-year old daughter’s chicken was raw. Not undercooked. Raw. The nice little pond view does not make up for the restaurant’s complete disregard for standard care practices. Then, to make up for it — if you can even call it that — they took $ 1 off our bill(to «comp» a side salad). Go grab a sandwich from the general store. Nice folk there.

Location couldn’t be better especially on the warm sunny day we went there. The staff was extremely nice and although the menu is somewhat limited there are plenty of options available. Food was good — but not excellent…

While staying on Anderson Island, we had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. With my expectations set low, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was better than expected, service was great, and the atmosphere was a throw back to a lost time. I ordered a hamburger and it was delicious. Everyone in our party commented on the food being excellent. It filled us up and no one left feeling hungry. Our waitress was a local girl and she made us feel welcomed to her part of the Northwest. After dinner, our party even played foosball and we did not feel rushed to leave the building. My family and I will be back to visit the next time we are in the area.

This restaurant has you trapped because they are the only restaurant on the island. Knowing this, I didn’t except much but was still truly disappointed. The Food = Not bad, actually pretty good menu/selection and the quality of the food was acceptable. The service = terrible! Dinner at 8pm one evening took over 45 minutes for food to arrive. Restaurant was not very crowded(it was later) but I figured they were still busy and thought we give the place another try for breakfast. Ordered coffee and a bloody mary to start. Coffee came 15 minutes later right before kids food. Drink didn’t come until after kids foods. Main meals arrived about 1 hour after being seated. The«kicker» — Saturday night, went to have dinner and was told there was a $ 10 cover charge due to a band playing later in the evening. I had 2 kids with me under age 8 and was told they still needed to pay the cover of $ 10 plus a drink. Are you kidding me? These are kids! We had a party of 6 so we weren’t going to pay $ 60 just to eat dinner there since we had no plans to stay late for the band. There is a small grocery store on the island. We ended up buying frozen pizza and hot dogs for dinner. Actually turned out much more fun for the kids but here is a good tip — Do NOT plan on eating all of your meals at the restaurant. Bring your own food if possible! The store has OK selection but outrageous prices.

Love the menu & full bar. Fun to tell clients that there’s a lakeside restaurant on the island that serves good food and has a full bar. The new managers are doing an awesome job with fresh food and live music.

My Mom lives on this island, and this restaurant has been through a lot of changes. The new owners are great, the food is good, and they are really doing a good job of putting this little place back on the map. They have local entertainment events and are starting to bring in different venues, kudos for them, it’s only getting better and I’m rooting for them! Go Riv! I loved my steak, and my Mom loved her salad, tasty bueno!
