Starbucks

Worst Starbucks service ever here on May 14^th around 1030. Like the employees were in a molasses pit. The middle aged woman taking orders at the counter never gave our order to the barista. Also, she was quite unclear on the concept of coffee cake.
All I wanted was a regular coffee, a couple treats, and a latte. After 15 minutes of watching people behind us get their orders, the barista had to ask what we were waiting for, because the counter person just really didn’t care. To the barista’s credit he got to our order as soon as he realized the counter person was completely incompetent.
As we sat, we watched several other people with simple, plain Americana orders waiting… from our perspective it was the middle aged counter person who was just not up to the task, and had very poor customer service.
Finally, even though the barista’s enthrall made us a priority and made a very good latte, we never received an apology or anything. I’ve been to countless Starbucks, and this was the most disappointing experience by far.

So… through the drive-​thru at 9:10! Grand total of 18 minutes of my life I will never get back! This place needs Jesus… and a better management team!

Nice Starbucks — good pastries and a good place to read or work or study.
The hard surfaces (glass wall and tile floor) reflect the sound and so it can be loud. Currently there are only 5 other people here (It’s early in the morning) and the noise level is moderate.
Review — It’s a Starbucks — clean and exactly what you’d expect.
The chairs at the tables are a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise it’s a nice clean and comfortable place to work. I’ve been here about an hour and my backside is feeling it!

After finding a lot of great coffee shops around town by taking the time to explore a little bit, this Starbucks used to be one of my preferred locations to study, not anymore. The layout of the seating area is so awkwardly uncomfortable and cramped when it gets crowded even with the amount of space this location has compared to other Starbucks that have very small seating areas. The employees here still make good coffee drinks and they serve you pretty quick after placing an order, but I really wish they would take personal space into consideration by utilizing the space they have and moving the coffee displays up against the walls instead of in the middle of the aisle towards the register and making the conference room available to the general public when it’s not being used. The biggest problem of the seating area is the counter seating area which I think is too close to the register and pick-​up area for orders. They have electrical outlets along this counter, but this has to be the worst possible place to study for a couple of hours especially when people are brushing by you in a line. This place can do so much better with their seat layout and it would greatly improve the atmosphere and comfort of the customers.

Not impressed with staff. It’s gone downhill since I worked here and I can’t believe how rude they are here. Plus they take forever.

Gotta say; kinda disappointed in this location. Came here right at opening and knocked in the door, was not acknowledged and waited 5 min before the manager came and opened the door, was not even greeted with a good morning and was given a kinda gruff response when I ordered my coffee. I understand if they were a little behind on opening but it helps to be friendly and curteous even if you are having set backs.

I like this starbucks but today the blond hair lady running the register is grumpy and not friendly seems like she must have had a bad night or maybe a fight with a boyfriend or perhaps she just doesn’t like her job. But the baristas were very nice as usual

This is one my ultimate favorite starbucks locations on the planet. The staff is always friendly here. I like the bar that they have put in. As I haven’t visited this starbucks for the past five years a few things have changed about it. I am a little upset they finally moved the rock out front that about 1 in 20 cars would back into, it was quite a thing to watch.
If you like people/​car watching this is a great location. During the winter something is always going on out there in that busy intersection, however, what I come for is the great view in between the buildings of the snow capped mountains. Watching the sunset is awesome. They also have a fireplace at this location so kuddos for that!
Definitely my favorite starbucks in all of Anchorage.

This particular store has amazing customer service. The place is crisp and clean and has good open space. The main attraction their coffee is made to perfection. The pastries are fresh and tasty.

Great location during the day, but their hours aren’t posted anywhere and the only way to tell of they’re open is to awkwardly walk up to the door and give it a tug or sit at the drive-​thru speaker and wait for a response. I work a graveyard shift so it’s hard to find any place with coffee open late. I came by yesterday after 10pm and they were still open, I came by tonight at 10:16 and they were closed. Makes it frustrating to go out of my way wondering if they’ll be open or not because it’s not posted anywhere, no open signs, but Unilocal says they’re open til 10:30pm.

Starbucks at a convenient location for south side commuters. It has drive through but be aware for you can get stuck there on busy mornings. I usually just walk in so that I can dodge any kind of disaster.
I gave 3 stars because the taste and the service has no continuity. You can get 5 star experience depending on which barista is working that morning or you can get some crappy service if that particular barista who says that she is «not a morning person» is working.

Well… it’s a Starbucks. Decent size with a lot of table seating and a bunch of comfy leather chairs. There’s a fireplace in the middle which is nice too. When I ordered it took a couple minutes for someone to ring me up… the girl who took my order walked away and said someone else would ring me up in a minute? Ok? It was the girl cashiering for the drive-​thru which I thought was really weird because I was the only person in line and there were about 5 workers just standing there. But whatever… no harm done I guess.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been to at least 50 different Starbucks throughout the country and I have never, I repeat, NEVER had such a terrible experience. I understand that Starbucks isn’t known for being anything more than an inexpensive franchise coffee shop, but every store should at least have some standards. Absolutely terrible customer service, they didn’t give us our food and practically refused to refund our money until we demanded that they do it. Did not offer a free drink coupon, and when I asked (which normally I would never do, but I was just beyond annoyed at this point), he handed me one and said «it might work». Upon leaving they made a number of rude and sarcastic comments to us. I will be reporting this store to corporate. Do yourself a favor and find a cup of joe anywhere but here!

By far the best Starbucks in town. There is this creepy guy that works there but other than that the customer service is good and the coffee is great of course. They are usually busy early mornings and afternoons but it’s worth the wait.

To sum up my experience at this Anchorage Starbucks – horrible. I ordered a grande Americano and a breakfast sandwich with ham and NEVER RECEIVED the sandwich.
I approached the guy who took my initial order and he was surprised I didn’t get it but did nothing about it.
I didn’t get a receipt because this has never happened to me before. Lesson learned indeed.

I normally don’t bother leaving reviews for franchise type restaurants but I was so disappointed here today. We came in (myself plus 3) and two of the workers are staring out the window. We wait in line for a minute before they come to take our order. Granted there was a car accident outside so i can see how that would be distracting. One there was no white chocolate. Okay fine. We got our drinks to go. Mine didn’t have any syrup flavoring and neither did one of our other drinks and none had whip cream even though we specifically asked for it. This really sounds like a lot of the first world problems but seriously star bucks get it together.

This Starbucks location is by far the best in Anchorage.
The staff is always friendly and helpful and the drive-​thru convenient (but name me on that isn’t!)
The one thing that is extra nice about this location is they have an extra «room» that is open free to the public to use for meetings or parties. All you have to do is reserve it!

The major downside to this bucks is it’s busy location on a major intersection in south anchorage and if it’s one of the 5 sunny days of the summer it’s not as nice to sit outside with the traffic. The service is good usually and staff friendly. Only 3 stars because about one out of five times we come here we get the wrong drink and I see it happen to others frequently so check it first. You would think it would happen more inside because people can grab the wrong drink but it’s a bigger problem in the drive thru. Other than that its Starbucks.
