Had a wonderful meal and service by Robbie. They had a 3-course special so that’s what I ordered. Salmon bisque followed by salmon Oscar, followed by a huge plate with three desserts on it. Wow! Everything very tasty. Atmosphere and view are incredible!

I am really interstaed Since my review awhile ago the manager/owner reached out to me and I couldn’t believe it. Completely changed my opinion. Great way to run a business and be a stand up guy.

You get what you pay for, and this place was truly worth it. A very cool dining room overlooking the ocean. Right there in downtown Anchorage. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the menu was pretty impressive. Just an overall good experience for all involved.

Took my family to Simons today because the food is always good and of course half price appetizers. We ordered a sampler platter and it was no where as good as it usually is, and the service was absolutely dreadful. We stuck it out, ordered another round of appetizers and our dinners and this is where it came apart. The second appetizers were brought and I ate one of the hot wings and it had good flavor and was juicy and I thought the meal was redeemed. I picked up the second wing and saw that on the side that was down had a big bite taken out of it. I was the only one eating wings and I had only picked up one. I was absolutely disgusted, and a manager came over and he was great, cancelled our ticket no charge for the two items we had and we left. Was by far the worst Simons experience I’ve ever had and sadly it will be a long time before I go back. I was just left absolutely speechless.

So great a restaurant. My B&B owners recommended this restaurant to us. It is the place where they celebrate their anniversary every year. Highly commended to others. King crab and the lamb shank were the best dishes yesterday.

I used to work in the building with S&S. We used to go up there almost everyday for lunch. We had many good meals in a bright atmosphere. Sadly, things have changed for the worse. First of all, I will say the staff was nice and we had no real problems with the service. We were there for our anniversary and we had a gift card, which helped. But… when we got there, we were greeted right a the door with a reception station to the left. The deck with the car room was empty. That used to be the hub of activity with sometimes two three or more staff handling phone calls and bustling hungry patrons. No so last night… We were seated at a postage stamp that they called a table, that was smaller than the menus. Anyway, they had thrown some rose petals on the table as a festive touch for the anniversary. Now, my favorite dish at Simon’s used to be their Cajun Chicken fettuccine. This was a dish that used a large, but shallow bowl to serve the pasta covered in a tangy, light tomato sauce and some chicken breast pieces. A sprinkle of Parmesan Cheese, some ribboned scallions and a hot pepper topped it off. Wonderful. Last night, I saw it on the menu. The listing of «Reindeer Sausage» and the first item in the description should have sounded alarm bells, but… I ordered it anyway-without the Reindeer. What came was a flat plate with the pasta heaped up with a bunch of chicken pieces dumped on top. The worst part was the which brown gravy that literally made it look like a pile of sh*t. There was a lot of green sprinkles(maybe parsley) around the edge of the plate. The cause also had a gritty texture(perhaps cheese?) Although it did not take that bad, it was definitely not the wonderful receive of the old days. My wife had the fillet mignon, which was dry(no bacon) and had mushrooms that were way too salty. Some other distressing things. I ordered a soft drink and it cam ei s a glass smaller than the water glasses. True, they did refill it, but common… My wife ordered a glass of wine and it was served in this little carafe that held maybe ¼ of a glass. Finally, we did get a free dessert-we had the crème brûlée. Much to my surprise, it was COLD!!! I mean refrigerated!!! They must make a bunch of it up in the afternoon, burn the top and stick it in the refrigerator for later! Before last night I had never been served refrigerated crème brûlée. It was a lot like vanilla pudding… The best part was the view, but you do not have to pay to see that of you simply don’t go in.

The food here is always amazing. I recently went to their brunch and ordered the seafood scrabble and picked at my boyfriends salmon eggs benedict. They were to DIE for! The scrabble had a lot of seafood(most places skimp on the seafood) and the coffee was nice as well. As for the bar area, it is a good place to start the night or have a few drinks with co-workers before going home, or even when you have a first day and may feel nervous. Do not go there if you wan to hear every word someone is saying or feel uncomfortable in close seating proximities to other people.

My husband and I had a gift card for Simon’s and were really glad we didn’t pay out of pocket for our dinner. The good: Great atmosphere, lovely view(when you can see during daylight), nice staff. The not-so-good: the service was really slow. We were seated right away but then did not see our waiter for 20 minutes. That continued for our visit, it simply looked like they didn’t have enough staff for the amount of people(but this was a Wednesday evening so not even a really busy night). The food was really lack luster. I got the sockeye salmon special. It was overcooked, very dry. The pork belly rice was also very dry and the overall dish was lacking flavor. My husband got the lamb shank. You could not taste any of the natural lamb flavor, it tasted like eating directly out of an au jus dipping sauce. Both were dishes that would have been much better were they prepared at home. I would not recommend this place over other nice restaurants.

Came here with a group for dinner. The fire alarm went off for a full half hour and we had to leave the building. When we came back in, we waited 2 more hours until our meal came. While we waited, not a word from our waiter about the wait, what was going on, or what we could expect. They brought a few loaves of bread to hold us over. When the meals did come out, they were tepid and heavily salted. The seafood dishes were overcooked, and the steaks were undercooked. When we said something to the waiter, the manager came over and not a thing was done about it. We didn’t even finish the meals, but of course a full 18% fixed gratuity was added to the bill.

Food was good, atmosphere was alright and the staff was nice. I had the salmon and for the price it wasn’t amazing, seemed a little dry.

The service and the food was great. Especially the oven roasted crab and artichoke dip. Amazing appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

«Ok Salmon». Had recommendations to come try the alaskan Salmon but I would rate it 3 stars only. Drinks are great and baby pork ribs are great too. Hope this helps

I have to say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I travel a lot and eat at quality places from time to time and this is arguably the best meal. In my opinion, only Lawry’s in Beverly Hills compares. I had the Simon & Seafort’s cut of prime rib with mashed potatoes and smoked mushrooms. For dessert I had Key Lime Pie. The service was prompt and cordial and the view overlooking the Cook Inlet as the sun was going down was very apropos. I hope to make this a regular stop while in Anchorage.

I was treated to a dinner here that I could in no way afford on my own. We started out with an appetizer sampler of coconut shrimp, teriyaki beef, and artichoke dip with crab. The starters were all spot-on. The batter around the shrimp had felafel, a surprising yet not unwelcome twist. The teriyaki beef struck an ideal balance of sweet and savory with little pineapple chunks. For my main course I ordered halibut stuffed with crab and macadamia nuts. It tasted fancy. It tasted sophisticated. It tasted expensive. Here’s the thing though. I am a simple man, of simple tastes, and I couldn’t help but wonder if I wouldn’t have been equally happy with bacon mac and cheese, or Costco pizza. Dessert was stellar: salted caramel chocolate cake, New York cheesecake.

I got the three course meal. Cod on top of rice with avocado sauce. The chowder was good, were I reviewing it alone, I would give it a 4⁄5. It had all the right flavors, but it was a bit boring. Maybe I’m being nitpicky, but I wouldn’t go back for just the chowder. The cod was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and complemented perfectly by the rice and sauce. It was excellent. Against the suggestion of someone who had been here before, I eschewed the Crème Broulet for Key Lime Pie. It was an excellent decision. I’m not a Key Lime Pie snob, so it doesn’t bother me when a restaurant subs out the condensed milk for heavy cream. This pie was fantastic. All in all, everything here was excellent.

The service here was very friendly and attentive. I, in fact had 2 meals here in the same day, lunch and dinner. I had the King Crab Legs, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes and Salmon during my trip to visit. Everything was good, as was the nice view. I didn’t know this was part of the Restaurant’s Unlimited family and there is an plastic card promotion«Eat, Drink & Earn Rewards Program» which my waitress/server told me about. The parking is a bit confusing for an out of town traveler, and using the Waze GPS made it difficult to get to what is a fairly easy place to find, but I got here and also found free street parking.

Simon & Seafort’s is a great place to visit if you are out of town. It is located on the water and you will get a great view of the lake for the duration of your dinner. If you don’t have a reservation, just head to the bar– casual seating area that is quite spacious. Service is a little bit slow(about 45 minutes from ordering to receiving), but the wait is well worth it. The seafood is very fresh and it tastes good! I highly recommend getting the Alaskan salmon with risotto. They also have great selection of wine and other spirits. I’m sure the dining room seating would have been lovelier, but even the bar wasn’t as rowdy as I had imagined. It’s definitely a great place to experience Alaskan seafood. Do not miss it!

After being quoted a wait over an hour long for brunch at the café across the street, we wandered into Simon’s. Don’t let the office building entrance through you off. Proceed past the elevators and restrooms and the reception to the restaurant is straight down the hallway, and you’ll find Simon’s and – If you can – get a seat by the window! SETTING: I’m not sure how much brunch business Simon’s does relative to other meals… they look more like a dinner place, with dark panelling, and«saloonish» feel. But that day they opened for brunch at 10am. Of course the most important part to mention is the panoramic views of the water visible from pretty much every table in the place, and many tables directly against the window. SERVICE: Our waiter was attentive and the food was out quickly. He even brought some extra muffins for us after our meal(more on these muffins below). Although again, not many people in the restaurant. FOOD: While technically we were there for brunch, they didn’t have extensive breakfast offerings, there was a lot of lunch fare in the mix. Our waiter brought out these white choco macadamia nut muffin /biscuit-like things that were incredible. Idk if they serve them at any other time then brunch, but they totally should. For my entrée I ordered the Alaskan seafood scramble – scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, crab, mushrooms, spinach, and green onions. It came decently portioned, the salmon was very fresh and tender, and eggs were light and fluffy. It also came with an English muffin and breakfast potatoes on the side. Good food, great view, would definitely recommend!

What can I say other than: it’s grown on me. I should specify: I’ve been back here about 3 times. All 3 times were at brunch. All 3 times they were not very crowded. The brunch here is mostly hit, with a couple misses. Hits: The brunch potatoes that come with almost everything! The frittata: huge, hearty, and delicious! Fantastic breakfast muffins before your brunch arrives! And they are absolutely free, I love this! The halibut: some of the best in town. The view, always the view. Miss: French toast: too sweet for my tastes. The«wrap of the day»: is either woefully uninspired(ham and cheese… really) or the portions are just too small. 3 stars mainly because, even with the low crowds, the service can be a bit sluggish(it is friendly though). PROTIP: if you plan on coming back here, they have a credit card thingy you can get that takes the place of a punch-card. Highly recommended! I’ll be back for dinner and will report my findings. As of right now, I still can’t recommend the dinner.
