This is a cute little kitchen gadget and condiment shop inside the little shopping mall where Glacier Brewhouse is located. It’s overpriced, of course. And it’s filled with numerous needless gadgets. But it also has some good Alaska souvenirs for folks who like to eat. Multiple types of syrups and jams, for example, as well as fudge and other items with an Alaska twist. The tiniest bottle of blueberry syrup, the tiniest jar of salmonberry jam, and a bottle of hot BBQ sauce cost me approx. $ 35. So again, definitely overpriced. But it’s conveniently located and enables you to not go home empty-​handed.

I went in to find a Christmas present for one of my girlfriends and found a couple of potentials, but decided against it. When I walked into the store the girl behind the counter was on the STORE phone taking to one of her friends about loosing her I.D. at a party. I received absolutely no customer service; mo– greeting, offer of any sort of assistance, thank you for coming in/​happy holidays, etc. Other customers came into the store and received the same treatment. No acknowledgements to any of the customers were made by the girl at the register. In my book, no customer service = no sale.

I was tempted to buy several gifts here because who doesn’t love kitchen gadgets? But luckily I didn’t because I didn’t have any room in suitcase. Luckily if you are a smarter packer than me or living in Anchorage, this is the perfect place to pick up a funky and pretty colorful flower hot pad that can adjust for multiple sized pans.

Trendy and expensive. The owners also own the Aurora Fine Arts store at the end of the street. I like to come persuse for gifts, but one thing I didn’t like was that a lot of products contained corn syrup, which I find cheap and low quality. They have a lot to choose from, but I like the ravensbrew coffee mugs. I don’t know where else I would get them here in town. If you have a long wait time for seating at Orso or Brewhouse stop in and waste it here, you just may leave with a BBQ sauce or meat mallet.
