I have been coming here for over ten years there burger, fries, sandwiches etc is delicious. Their breakfast has over the years declined, kinda over cooking the eggs and the biggest thing is they always serve almost raw hash browns !

I’ve been coming here for many years. I have never been disappointed. The food here is solid, the restaurant itself is very clean, and the customer service is awesome. They have some great breakfast specials. And the owner is very involved in the community. I will definitely be coming here for a long time.

Been coming here since I could walk alone! Wow, that must be about 16 years now. This place is super solid. I don’t think I have gotten anything bad except for the breakfast burrito because I personally don’t like that much potato in my burrito. Favorites here are the soggy(yes soggy fries) fries with the awesome seasoning salt, bacon cheese burger on lettuce wrap, and cobb salad. I used to get the chili cheese fries all the time but it’s kinda too unhealthy for me now. The staff is very nice! Shout out to the manager Juan! Hes been here for so long and always delivers good service.

Came here cause I felt like eating at local burger joint. Decided to order some steak sandwich and fries. When I order the fries, actually decided to get the chili cheese fries with Asada. The portion is pretty good, surprisingly. I’ll definitely come back if I feel like eating here, the price isn’t so bad as well. But the steak sandwich is typical like elsewhere. recommend to give it a try if you looking for local burger joint.

Drove to Anaheim for an appointment and this place was recommended by our seamstress. OMG! First of all I dealt with 3 people when ordering through the drive-thru. Soooo polite. I love that. Then I ordered 2 carne asada burrito and 1 bean/cheese burrito. I’m more of a seafood person and not so much into red meat but the carne asada burrito was YUMM-YYY! I have another appointment next Saturday so I’m going back to try other things on the menu.

I didnt know chilli cheese fries can taste so good? Lol this place is a bomb, thank god I found this place. Their quantity of food is good too. The only problem is the staff, they can be a bit friendly. I believe customer service should be at it’s best. They don’t greet you well bur hey the food is good so I will ignore the staff and just get my good :)

I came here the other day with my friend and we both got the breakfast burritos. They were huge, fresh, and extremely satisfying in the morning. I was only able to finish a little more than half of my burrito. I read other reviews saying they were kind of bland but I think it’s because they have cilantro, onions, salsas, and other things to add on the side so you can customize it how you like it. I would definitely come back here again!

Had a cheeseburger and it was really good! I would go back again for the food but not the service! My husband and I went through the drive through and the girl working the window was super rude!!!

First time here and the Cheeseburger was amazing, wish I had the double instead though cause the meat was kinda thin. I believe they serve Qtr pound instead of a third pound like most burger joints I go to. So I think that had I ordered the double cheeseburger it would’ve definitely been tastier. The carne asada fries with cheese was A plus yummy! The Teriyaki chicken bowl however, was not too good. They use this particular spice that you usually see it being utilized on french fries that I don’t really care about. Even on french fries it tastes weird, but on Teriyaki chicken was nasty and salty. Teriyaki should have a nice sweet taste to them, not salty. I pretty much left the entire bowl behind, but the burger and carne asada french fries made up it’s 3 stars rating for taste quality. The place was also clean, but not immaculate and the customer service was friendly, but not mind blowing. The price was not too cheap, but decent, a cheeseburger combo with french fries upgraded to carne asada with a drink and teriyaki bowl comes to $ 16.16. Depends how you think of it, to me, that’s pretty decent. Tips: Has great convenient access to the parking lot. Weekdays can be super crazy during lunch time. I’m assuming due to the students and businesses around. Quality: 3⁄5 Quantity: 3⁄5 Customer Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: 3⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Cleanliness: 3⁄5

I’ve stopped at this Varsity Burger in Anaheim a few times, and the food consistently tastes fresh and yummy. The prices also are very reasonable, and the restaurant itself seems very clean and well maintained by the staff, who are very nice. I definitely recommend the turkey burgers and the breakfast burritos. If you can avoid the lunch hour rush, do so. Otherwise, just be patient and prepared to wait.

Quick drive through and pretty quality food when you need that greasy, fast-food fix. 5 stars because of their customer service, too! It was my first time here and the drive-thru guy was so patient with me, answering my questions. He handed me a lollipop(sounds creepy when I’m typing it, but I promise it was so sweet) to say thank you for coming to Varsity Burger and to come again soon! Way to go above and beyond for your customers. P. S. Portions looked huge, so I got the kids meal. Still was big and was only like $ 5! Deals!

My sister told me about this place and had given us a gift card with a menu(outdated by this time, so I grabbed a new one for next time), last year, or the year before, but we hadn’t visited until last week(aww man, why the hell did we wait so long?!). Parking didn’t seem bad on a weekday night. Kind of deceiving because there were just a few empty tables inside. Judging from the surrounding area(lots of taco joints and signs in spanish), that this is located in a latino community. Large menu(breakfast, mexican, sandwiches, burgers, salads, apps), steady crowd inside(seating inside– tables and chairs, while booths are along the sides of the restaurant and outside– round tables) and in the drive-thru lane, large portions, good prices — I’m surprised this wasn’t on DDD(hey, Guy Fieri check it out; ok, well if he went here, I didn’t see that episode, just saying). Inside feels like a fast food joint, except in different colors(off-white and sage green). This is definitely a locals joint(so you know it’s good, plus over 300 reviews on Unilocal). I was checking out people’s food, ’cause I wanted to see what everyone else was ordering, seemed like everyone had something different but the taco salad was huge. I couldn’t decide what I was getting until I was up at the window, but I got the chicken gyro(it was bigger than I expected, really good flavor, and filling), chicken fingers(pretty big) and fries(generous) for the boy, and a carne asada burrito for my hubby(had a few bites, man, it was really good, the meat was lean, too). Hubby said that it beat Roberto’s Taco Shop’s back home(which was his new favorite, at the time). Salsa & condiments are located near the soda machine. Service was pleasant, though they were busy. The food was prepared fast. I think that there was a bathroom on the right side of the ordering counter. Due to the busy nature of this place, the turnaround time seems quick. It really was an equal mix of diners inside, people getting food for take-out and the drive-thru line — they get a lot of repeat/local business. Yes, we have to, most definitely, come here again on our next visit to D-Land.

I have been to this restaurant for almost ten years and up to this day it still has not let me down. Just in general, I’m not a big fan of burgers, but my family loves them here since they’re always stuffed. I personally love all of their sides; the onion rings, zucchinis, and their chili cheese fries are so good! If I could recommend just one item, it’d be their tuna melt. OMGIT’S SOGOOD. I will admit, I did order the colossal burger once and it was good. It consists of the burger patty with tons of pastrami! The Caesar Salad Pita Wrap is huge, probably as big as a «to go» box. Steak fajitas are pretty well seasoned and are plentiful. Their breakfast always has me coming back. Their breakfast burritos are enough for 2 people. The actual steak in the«Steak and Eggs» plate is huge. The kids meal’s are a great price and a pretty big size. If I’m not too hungry, I usually just order a kids meal just so I could spend under $ 5 and still get fries and a drink. Sign up for their newsletter since every once in a while they do offer some great deals. During November of 2015, they offered a deal where if you spent $ 10 or more by ordering online, they would give you a $ 5 gift card. On their Unilocal page, they offer a $ 20 voucher for $ 15. They also have their burger combo stamp card. Service is average and there’s plenty of parking.

I’ve been here a about 7 times. The service is usually below average or poor. I wanted this place to thrive, it’s been there forever. The reason for the two stars is due to the service and the food. My main problem with the food is how greasy it is. I’ve tried the food the last 4 times and afterwards my stomach turned to mush and felt like throwing up. It also cause me to have to use a bottle of pepto, I believe it’s due to the amount of grease they use or the fact that they might not change it out very often.

For many months in Anaheim, I have bookmarked a particular burger joint. It was always a suggested place to try out. I haven’t been to places like this in a long time. However, this place didn’t just catered to the carnivores, but also the health conscience; to a little degree. Like high school we all had to do some sort of tryouts, but in Anaheim, you already made it to Varsity Burger. Located on the south side of West Lincoln Ave across the St. Boniface, you’ll find one of Anaheim’s famous burger joints called, Varsity Burger. My review will be quite short since I used a service that I usually don’t use: Drive-Thrus. I had arrived at 12:15pm. **REDALERT** I knew way before coming here that this is a popular lunch spot. If you drive a big truck like I do, the parking lot can get tight real fast. With so many customers, the line did extend to the street. People were trying to swerve around me and just park. There were also people who sat outside in the patio in this heat just to eat. The Drive-Thru is a mess. Also, if you do have a big truck, you can have a little issue trying to turn. I made it through, but I am not sure about those with a lifted pickup. I read the history of Varsity Burger and it is pretty intriguing. Varsity Burger is actively involved with the community. I have seen photos with law enforcement to kids at school. Definitely puts a place in my heart for Varsity. Varsity doesn’t just take price with their awards, but with their internal staff. This is one business that has three Food Managers. That’s very rare to have those for a place that doesn’t need to have it. I wouldn’t mind getting a couple World Class Chefs here now. The menu is very straight forward. You can order your typical burgers, tacos, burritos, salads, sandwiches, and pancakes for your breakfast. I had my eye set out for something that I love eating and always catches my eye. I pulled up to the window after waiting in the queue for about 10 minutes. I ordered the Turkey Burger on a wheat bun($ 3.79) with a side order of Jumbo Onion Rings($ 2.79). Then the line moved faster as you got to the pickup window. I looked through the window and I probably saw one of the Food Managers working with the staff. That was cool to see the staff member smiling and having fun. I got my order in two brown bags in a plastic bag. I noticed that one was already greased up. Uh oh… What have I got myself into? I know its my onion rings. When I got back to work, the strong smell of the onion rings had completely taken over the interior of my vehicle. I knew this was going to be trouble for. I saw the JUMBO onion rings were no joke. Were these molded from Calamari or what?! The lady packed me a ranch dressing, but one wasn’t enough. Ask for another. Trust me, you’ll be needing at least two. Honestly, the onion rings were not greasy. I thought it was baked. After eating a few, I got tired. Not because of eating it, but my jaws munching through these large onion rings. Now onto my Turkey Burger! It was a good size with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and 1000 Island Dressing. I noticed two large slices of pickles. I love it already! When I dug into my Turkey Burger, my sandwich didn’t quite hold, The turkey patty broke apart and the other pieces followed suit. I wasn’t quite happy about it, but I did make the most of what was left. The structure of the burger looked fine when its packaged, but when you break it by taking ONE bite, it shouldn’t fall apart. I do hope my second visit, the burger works out a little better. This is crowd favorite in Anaheim. It may not look like much from the outside, but its what inside that counts the most. If people come and pack Varsity Burger, you know they are doing something right. I look forward to coming back and trying out a couple of their other menu. Perhaps, Grad Burger is around the corner. I can try something much more sophisticated. Unilocal…I Live, Breathe, and Share my Reviews for everyone to read. Come Join Me!

If I could give no stars that’s what I would do. Seriously they need to let MARICELAGO She’s been there for years and is always interrupting the other girls taking our orders causing them to come out wrong. She has such a nasty attitude that it rubs off on the other employees. I don’t know why I continue to take my family here. Service has gone to sh**!!! HORRIBLE! SAVEYOURMONEYANDTIME(that new drive thru is ridiculous) If you must go, go after 11 once the manager is there. I wouldn’t tho. I gave them a second chance and I regret it. Now I’m sitting here staring at food I didn’t even order, FORTHESECONDTIME!!!

Varsity Burger provides a modest Burger experience in Anaheim. Truth be told, I put the wrong address into my iPhone, I meant to go to Angelo’s for a burger. I had 45 minutes to eat before a Halo’s game and by the time I realized that I was at the wrong Burger joint I acquiesced, Varsity Burger it was. Walking in I thought to myself«kind of dingy, dirty… but I have seen worse and found gold». The menu is a gigantic quagmire of Mexican and American fast food. I went with the Double Burger and a Pastrami; ate ¼ or less of each but still left south of $ 20.00. The portions alone warrant notice, you can feed two people per order. So, how is it? The pastrami was between boring and… yawn. I don’t think they smoke the Brisket and the bread doesn’t lend itself well. Don’t bother. The Double Burger with cheese was credible. They charbroil the patties which gives them a nice and smoky flavor that goes perfectly well with the cheese and 1000 Island dressing. The Lettuce was wilted and the Tomatoes were well past their prime as well, but not bad enough to call the Burger a fail. I may return for another Varsity Burger at some point. The Fries were also befitting of a 3 star review; crisp outside and soft and warm inside with no detection of grease anywhere. A zesty sprinkling of seasoning keeps the flavor profile on par with the mouthfeel. I loved those Fries. Although Varsity Burger is not exactly firing on on all of its culinary cylinders it did provide a respectable Burger & Fries and that should make it a decent neighborhood spot for Anaheim locals. I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to eat there however.

Came here because my brother has to have one of those orange bang drinks, basically like an orange fizzy soda. Once again, he struck out. So much for Unilocal guiding him, huh? So, once again since we’re stuck at a burger spot, we have to try their burgers. Standard cheeseburger, nothing to write home about. Quick drive through service through. Can’t say that this is a 4 star burger place, but yes, 3 stars for okay sounds right.
