Run this guy in the ground or out of town! Dana Manier has taken not only hard earned monies from individuals such as myself but also monies from employees (not paying child support deductions to courts). Add to that insurance fraud (insurance claim monies for damage they did to my truck), but also charged me, and many others for work never performed. While the workers there did phenomenal work, the ability to manage and lead by Dana sucked! Check out the companies Facebook page for people’s feedback on the closing by sheriff! Apparently Dana didn’t pay rent for over 12 months! The reviews by Leslie V or Dianne S is pure BS or done by Dana himself. They are locked down and non operational which is just fine as others cannot be taken advantage of my Dana Manier!

shady business. dropped our car off months ago with no word as to status. they kept calling to ask for more money. we thought the work was getting done only to find out that they passed our car on to another shop to do the work. they couldn’t do the work? they moved locations and our car was supposidly being moved there but its still at another guys shop in placentia. his name is Eric from MAC. eric said Dana owes him money for the work thats been done on our car and he doubts he will see it. we went to see the car today to make sure it was alive and it wasn’t finished as Dana told us it was. the Dash was apart and exhaust leaking. we decided to cut our losses and not allow Dana to pick it up. i dont want my car in his hands. theres some shady business going on. 1^st of all he outsourced all the work so that speaks for itself.

Dana and his crew have not only been patient, but more importantly they do really good work.
They are currently moving to a new location, and they have been very open in explaining to me what is going on with the current «shut down». I have had total access to my truck that is in a tore down condition. If I want to move it, Or take my business somewhere else I can. I have known and done business with Dana for many years, and I have always been satisfied with the quality of the work, the integrity of his word and the finished product.
I’m looking forward to seeing his latest work on my pickup, and bringing any future business to him. I recommend The 401k Club to ANYONE that might be looking for a hot rod shop.

Don’t bring your car here!!! This guy is long on talk but doesn’t deliver. I have brought my 66 chevelle in for a dash redo. I supplied every part myself and after a couple weeks for a simple job I picked it up. The car had over spray all over it. They have no paint booth! Paint any and everywhere! Said he would take care of it. Hahaha what a joke! 6 months later I had to pay another facility to clay bar, buff and polish. During same job take windshield out to make it easier to paint the dash. Took 3 months just to get this simple task of putting rear view back on. Called often, excuse after excuse. Went there to get the receiving part of rear view that actually glued to windshield. Surprise!, they can’t find it. 10 days later I finally get a call, their windshield guy is there and I need to stop what I’m doing get the car there now so it could be finished. Now to my own stupidity I gave another chance. Purchased Lexus bucket seats and other interior components for my 55 Chevy. Paid the bill in full and 8 ½ weeks later not one thing has been done. The owner DANA has now promised to give the 1,850 $ back. We are now on day 5 and I have received nothing. I would NEVER use them again! Promise after promise and delivers none! Beware, you’ve been warned. Dana has now returned my $ in full and we have parted ways. Shame is they have serious talent there.

Called here to get an estimate on how much it would be to replace the signal canceling cam in my Camaro, got put on hold then when the guy who answered it told me to hold on then hung up and didn’t call back. Shame because the other reviews made it seem like this was a good place

We have his & hers 1939 Ford Coast to Coast replica cars. They were purchased 3 years apart and after a small fortune with another speed shop to get the first car road worthy and safe we felt we needed to look for another shop for the second car. With the first speed shop in Huntington Beach the work was good but the cost was always a surprise. He could never stick with any kind of estimate. We’d go from a quote of $ 3,500 to a bill of $ 8,500 with no communication in the middle.
So, when we purchased the second car we reached out to the 401K Club. We didn’t think we’d have a lot of work to do on this car because it was sold as «Excellent show car, only 725 miles, perfect condition»…our bad because we didn’t have it independently inspected prior to the out of state purchase and she needs a lot of work.
Dana and Jim have worked with us to diagnose and fix the safety issues. Then they worked with us to fix the whacky stuff that wasn’t a safety issue but definitely needed attention and now they’re helping us with the cosmetic issues. All the while helping us to get the work completed without breaking the bank. They explain each step carefully and make suggestions on ways to make things more affordable and the bill is always what I’ve authorized.
This experience would have been a disaster without them and instead I have a car that I love and will enjoy for years. So the moral of this story is purchase a car only after a good mechanical inspection and then take her to the 401K Club for maintenance

So I have a 1934 Chevy Vicky Sedan that happened to kiss the rear end of a honda accord. Needless to say my poor daily driver (yup it’s my only car) is all smashed up with pretty severe front end damage. Anyhow… I’ve been here once before on a Saturday open house event slash car show day. Pretty cool place, got to run around the shop and check out all the different projects in the works. Never did I think someday down the near future my ride would end up on one of the racks all torn apart. But that day has come sooner than expected. So here I am talking shop and discussing options with Dana (The Owner), Burt (Stellar Body Man), Brian and Joe (Master Wizards In All Things That Roll) and I must say I’m impressed in how well each and every one of them listen to my concerns and give back opinions and options on how to go about repairing it. Mind you, the majority of the work is all insurance covered (scared the insurance company was going to salvage it as a total loss) but low and behold the 401K Club team has pulled through on getting the claim accepted without a salvage title!!! Now I’m in limbo land waiting anxiously for the insurance check to arrive so we can get these repairs in motion. I have stopped by on a few occasions to toss around ideas and everybody has been ready to work it out with me. Mind you… I’m far from rich, just an average joe, with an average job, living paycheck to paycheck like the rest of humanity and not once have I gotten a cold shoulder as a customer. Pretty impressive as your standing next to a 250K car wondering if your going to get the same kind of attention even though your not loaded like some people. Dana… My hats off to you for truly understanding my situation and willing to help me get my car back on the road in a cost effective manor. I’m forever in debt to you and your crew for all that you guys are willing to do. I’m sure this will end well when completed, and I’ll do everything on my part to keep up my end of the bargain. So in closing… Whether your out on a Saturday cruise or in need of repair or overhauling, you really should come down and check out the club!!!
