So I gave this place 4 stars before, but after some thought I’m gonna give this place a generous 3 stars. Their carne asada fries are really bomb. I prefer it here because they make their fries nice kinda like McDonald’s fries but not as oily. I really do like their carne asada fries here, but all their other food here is just OK. I’m always pretty satisfied with the food here, but nothing to write home about. From now on I’m just gonna come here for the carne asada fries.

Delicious tacos and taquitos. Great prices too. They also have beer and a full bar if salsas and limes.

How truly sad I am It is with great happiness did I leave this horrible review for my beloved taco boy. I have ate here since 2007. Back then some good tacos man. Fast forward 2016. I wouldn’t eat here ever again carne asada tacos meat chewy so shooting when I give it to my little girl is about to she came back three minutes later with the meat still choose and said you know pretty much I can’t eat this dad and spit it out. I was really disappointed I really like this place I can see that it went downhill still got the same jukebox you can still get a beer in a taco but the only good thing about it would probably be the beer I don’t know what could turn this place around I’m sure the cooks worked hard the cashier was nice the quality was so subpar that I doubt I will give them a second chance. Being such a big carne asada connoisseur I’ve come to know we’re good carne asada is and what bad carne asada is and no mountain seasoning can fix bad texture that’s what I have here. I’m giving this place two stars because it once was a five star and it’s now 0 star in that averages out to two stars you’re going to read reviews and you’re going to make your judgement but anybody who’s ate here recently and tell me the carne asada tacos are bomb I’d question their review

Tasty little street tacos for under a buck on Tuesdays. I had the carne asada and the carnitas tacos. Both were great!

My favorite tacos would have to be there tacos de carnitas! The horchata that they sell is pretty bomb too not like the other pre-bought stuff you see at some taco places here in the OC. My roommate thinks the carne asada fries are pretty good too. Overall cool place to come eat, especially on taco Tuesday when tacos are 95 cents.

I ordered rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole only, I got tacos with cheese and green juice drizzled on top. Guacamole essence? My husband ordered a Carne asada burrito and it had rice packed into it and super tiny. We only learned after coming back to our hotel that that was the worst place to go to. DON’T GO!!! I just called the shop to ask why they think this is acceptable. I asked how they make a Carne asada burrito, they described my husband’s burrito. I then said no, it should come with carne, cheese, guacamole and pico. He then said«oh an all meat burrito?» I then asked what do they provide when someone asked for rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole only? He said«that» and I said«so why do my rolled tacos have cheese dust and green sauce drizzeled, no guacamole?» He said«because we don’t have guacamole here.» That floored me. I then asked«do you not have any avocados?» He said no. I then asked how he can call himself a Mexican restaurant and he said I was the only complaint. I then mentioned our hotel staff, all Mexican, said we went to the wrong place because this place sucks. So I guess I’m the only one that brought it to attention. That… a Mexican taco shop… serve Mexican food correctly… and have guacamole??? Is that too much to ask???

I love coming here for the food and the prices are reasonable and I come here a lot because I like supporting my uncle/cousin Taco Boy. I love their Tacos and Sopes de Asada. my other favorite thing to get is the burrito with all meat and you can’t forget the amazing drink hochata. They have one of the best hochata compared to other taquerias that i been too. You won’t be sorry and you will enjoy the food. Don’t forget to try the red salsa.

Good menudo! Was feeling like crap from a night of drinking, Taco Boys menudo hit the spot, oh yeah forgot to mention the handmade tortillas. They also have the best tacos in town.

I’ve been here a half a dozen times. Mostly because it’s close to my favorite watering hole. Nothing fancy here, but if you wanna grab a quick bite to fill you up it’ll work. I sometimes find their meat a little too spicey for my liking. I’d never use their little salsa bar as apparently no one ever cleans it. It’s looked a mess every time I’ve been in there.

This place looks like a hole in the wall, kind of dumpy… But oh man are their tacos good. They are just over a buck most days and on Tuesdays the are 95 cents. Can’t beat that. Order a dozen to go. You won’t be sorry.

I got the carne asada fries for lunch today and… I’ve had better. Much better. First, the fries were kinda soggy. They should be slightly overcooked to retain a little crunch after toppings are added. The fries only came with carne asada, beans, and cheese. No sour cream, no pico de gallo, no guac, and no tomatoes. I got green salsa to put on, and though it tasted spicy, I had to use a lot to even taste the flavor. Also there is a slightly buttery/garlicy aftertaste, which I’m not particularly fond of. Overall, totally missed the spot.

My GF loves this place. She has me running around forever for the best asada tacos. This is her favorite. The meat is good quality. I hate when u have a taco and u feel like half of the meat isn’t even edible. And the salsa is tasty and spicy. Like make sure you don’t have plans the next day kinda spicy. The lengua is not the best. But the asada is what to order.

Overall good experience. Got a variety of tacos, burrito and quesadilla. Burrito was good, juicy with boiled beans, smaller than most places like«de anda» and«triunfos». Tacos decent size, very large onions though Quesadilla was cheesy and had good amount of meat. Salsa had good taste, red and green selection.

Tacos are cheap, plenty of meat but their condiment bar didn’t have any onion/cilantro mix. Salsa was good though. Stay away from the carne aside fries!!! Not a huge fan of the beans that they put in. Horchata was great!

It gets busy on Tuesday, because tacos sell for .95 cents. I have only tried the tacos but everything in their menu looks good!

The tacos are cooked to perfection and the tortillas are nice and hot! There is a little bar where you can get extra toppings like radishes, carrots, or grilled onions as well as extra sauce/salsa. This place is a little hole in the wall that never disappoints! Also, they have 85-cent tacos on Tuesday!

The tacos and asada fries were tasty, spicy and fresh during my 6:30pm visit on a Thursday. The hot sauce has been toned down since my last visit years ago.(The last time I was sweating bullets.) Once I find out the red sauce is spicier, I’ll have to come again and bring a bath towel.

Taco Tuesday? Happens every week for me(or well I try to). The price was decent considering that it’s Orange County, can’t compare it to LA prices. I mean can’t really complain about the taste since it was only 85 cents. I got the Carne Asada, Lengua and the Al Pastor. Considering my favorite out of the three would be the carne asada. It looked dry but had the best flavor out of the three. The Al Pastor reminded me of a beef soup which had a interested taste, definitely worth a try! But the Lengua was definitely too try for me and had a bland taste(had to drench it in lemon and sauce to get a kick out of it). With all these tacos, I also decided to get horchata. The portion sizing is huge. $ 1.40 for a medium and $ 2.40 for a large. The large wouldn’t even fit in the cup holder… Totally worth it, they don’t put a lot of ice either so it’s definitely worth it. All in all, the service was great! The cashier was very friendly and the time to get my food was quick. Thumbs up.

85 cent tacos for Taco Tuesday. Might not be the bombest tacos, but 85 cents!!! 85 cents!!! I got carne asada, carnitas, lengua, and al pastor. — Carne asada was okay. Nothing special. — Carnitas was dry. — Lengua was okay as well. — Al pastor was the interesting one. It reminds me of beef stew. I also got a horchata. I like it because it isn’t too sweet. It’s not very cinnamony though.
