Me and my family have been shopping here YEARS and haven’t had an issue until now… You need to give your bagger/cart girl ‘brenda’ a reality check… I don’t think she’s aware she’s working at a grocery store where she has to deal with people daily. The fact is… on a continuous basis, she throws everything in the car, t ONTOPOFBANANAS and bread… waisting the environment by bagging one thing in a bag and then giving us complete attitude as we walk out. We understand at the end of the day you get fire… but girlfriend — IF you hate your job, just freaking quite or at least pretend to enjoy it until the costumes walks away. This girl, does not make me want to shop here anymore. Five stars, if you get rid of her!

Service deli has horrible service, I had asked to speak with the manager due to my horrible customer service. only to find out she was the manager she had me waiting 10 mins, walked past me every single time ignoring me. she clearly saw me, no smile, no hello and a horrible miserable attitude. thank you Jennie I now shop at Albertsons, they at least acknowledge me with a «hello and have a good day.»

I have been coming to this stater brothers for the past 7 years off and on, on my break. Everytime I come in, the market seems to be well maintained and clean. The workers are always very helpful and I like the selection they have in the back with all the pasta salads and chicken. I usually just go in for minor things. I come to stater brothers just because there Is also one by my house and it is the most convenient. The prices are fair and they always have a wide variety of different brands.

Was really clean inside, and unlike the other reviewers experience when I went there was not any long lines. I could see how the parking could be a big hassle. Prices were just okay, milk was super cheap. I like the wood floors. They did play the most god-awful music in the store, it was like elevator music with singing. Other than that the produce section didn’t have a great selection, but was fresh.

You really can’t change the clientele, but I appreciate the efforts made to make this Stater Bros look updated and nicer. Gone are the drab floors and old refrigerators. Though it takes a lot of getting used to, as they had changed the aisle arrangements as well, but there is usually a staff member around to guide you in the right direction. Having a butcher makes this Stater Bros a plus over Ralph’s on State College, but other than that, the lines are usually long and they do not open a cashier right away, unlike Ralph’s. Parking can be a problem. Not that you can’t find a spot, but mainly there are just too many cars in a smallish parking lot with lots of shoppers who unfortunately leave their carts everywhere. Definitely up a star from their old look. I might need to like this place more as Ralph’s on State College and Lincoln is closing. Stater Brothers needs to step up their game. Well, I guess you can’t do anything about the parking lot or the clientele who don’t wear deodorant or take a shower. How about having more cashiers please. How about prime vs choice steaks. And maybe you should reward shoppers who bring their own bags(I don’t know what Ralph’s green bag points does, but I get coupons in the mail: p) I guess right now, I’ll just take what I can get.

Terrible store. I have sent 3 complaints regarding a bone that was in one of their deli sandwiches(chicken salad sandwich). They haven’t even bothered to respond. Terrible service every time I have been there and now this. UPDATE:This place still is terrible. Won’t even respond to my complaint regarding a bone in their sandwich. They’ll respond to your Unilocal posting and act like they are going to resolve it, but then nothing.

Clean place now with the upgrade. Prices still more expensive than Ralph’s or another market.

Easy to get in and out. Employees are helpful, even when they are off duty and answer questions. Always best prices around and clean.

This is one of the better Staters I have been to. They’re super nice and are doing a lot of upgrades right now. It feels cleaner and more organized. I am still tryin to get the lay of the land because they have re arranged everything.

I’ll be generous and give this Stater’s a 4. Why? Clerks keep the lines actively flowing and they open up other check-out lanes pretty fast when it starts to get backed up. Though cosmetically, you can tell it’s an older Stater Bros from the way it’s set up. The store isn’t that big either. They seem to be doing some type of remodeling where the Liquor section once was. The workers here are usually jovial and hospitable. Since this location is close to the freeway at the major intersection of La Palma & State College it tends to stay busy. Stater Bros always has awesome deals on produce, protein, beverages, breads and more. And my banking institution has an ATM machine here(as it does in almost every Stater Bros). You can catch me in here at least once a week:)

A moderately sized grocery store. They have a deli, beverages, produce, bakery, and pretty much what you would expect. I love the fried chicken for its price and taste. Prices often get relatively low when there is plenty of sales going on — like Arizona gallons of sweet tea at 2 for $ 5. Sometimes there would be little specs of dirt or spilled stuff on the ground, but nothing too much to complain about. It’s within walking distance of quite a few neighborhoods.

The head honchos at Unilocal removed my original review because«it lacks a substantive consumer experience». So I’m reviewing it again, this time with more emphasis on my experience and hopefully now it’s substantive enough for all you consumers out there. I don’t know why every Stater Bros. looks at least 20 years outdated(this location is even more dated, looks like the late 70’s) but at least Stater’s focuses on value for their customers. I love how Stater’s actually has a butcher department and their prices are very reasonable. The employees are actually somewhat friendly too. I would give this store 4 stars if it weren’t so ghetto; I won’t go here at night. It’s still 100x better than Ralph’s, Vons, Albertsons, and [insert shitty, generic grocery store]. Here’s my original review, in case you were curious: anachronism — something that is out of place and time Stater Bros. —(see anachronism) Why is it that every Stater Bros. looks like it’s 1978?

I come here when I am stocking for meeting refreshments. Easy to get in and out of here, as it’s on a main road(St. College), right next to the freeway, and checkout is fast. Easy to navigate through this supermarket, and they have a bakery and a meat section. I’ve ordered a cake here before, which turned out fluffy and enjoyable, but it was a small cake. Well, since I had a great experience ordering a last-minute cake last time, I thought I’d give them more business and order a large cake(full sheet). Because I was pressed for time, I decided to call and place the order rather than show up in person. WRONG — calling them was a joke, as I think the staff could not seem to know how to transfer a call! I called twice, within 10 minutes of each other to give them time to get it together: first call, a male answered the phone, I asked for the bakery, he said«Hold On», then he put the phone down and I never got transferred. Over 5 minutes I waited, then hung up. WTH Called back 10 minutes later, a female answered the phone — I asked«Is the bakery still open?» She said yes, so I told her to transfer me. Same drill — she put the phone down and I never got transferred. I don’t get it, but I did learn a lesson: DONOT call Stater Bros. here to order a cake… GOINPERSON and order it.

Review is for their cooked meals towards the back of the store. Well first of all let me just say that I love their fried chicken. Sooo good! I’ve never been a fan of fried chicken until I tried theirs. It’s always moist and crispy.(But no too crispy lol) They have a lot of side dish varieties as well. My mom ordered a 100 piece chicken dinner on a Saturday night and she needed it for Monday morning.(12÷23÷13) We didn’t think they’d be able to on such a short notice, but Monday morning came and there wasn’t a single problem.

Parking and driving out of the parking lot is terrible, but they have a lot more ethnic items than the other Stater Bros. Case in point– I needed«green bananas»(yes, there is such a thing and no, they aren’t plantains). I called 7 or 8 stores and finally found them here. The person on the phone was so helpful and actually held a bunch for me.

This is my Local Stater Bros. Its a hop, a skip and and a roll from my casa. When ever its a friends birthday, i’ll just run in and grab a cake from the bakery. Its cheap, nice looking and everyone always seem to enjoy it. Other than that its a grocery store. it serves its purpose and I buy food here.

This is where I go when I need some grocery item, and everything else is closed, for the most part. The cashiers often look as though they hate the store’s patrons, and I’ve encounterred several items of not-quite-fresh produce. Still, last night, my cashier was pleasant, in that she at least said«hey, how ya doin’?» I count my blessings!

Naa, na, fuck this never again. This Stater’s makes, Food 4 Less and Northgate look like a Beverly Hills Trader Joe’s. Show up around 5 when you get off work and you’ll see everyone involved in the recent Anaheim riots stocking up on Tecate tall cans while they let their 10 kids run around the store like its the streets of TJ. Be careful getting out of the parking lot or make sure you have uninsured motorist insurance, you might need it.

Well I found this place years ago when I moved from Aliso Viejo to Anaheim. I came here exactly once and thought I was never going to return since it was such a rotten fetid putrid place. I mean the worst things you can imagine, a bad stench, flys and gnats everywhere, partially wilted produce. It was disgusting. I have seen a lot of third world markets that were a million times better. Consequently, I decided that I didn’t need to ever visit this place. Fast forward to about 6 months ago. I hadn’t been to this store in the interim 8 years. However I got a new job not far away and I had a friend who moved somewhat close to this store. Well upon his mentioning the place wasn’t a cesspool, I decided to set foot inside of it one last time. So one day after getting a haircut, my barber is a block away I decided to get some quickie lunches if they had any on sale and to just look around the store. Much to my great happiness, the place was not drowning in squalor. It had been remodeled and looked nice. The smell was gone; the food looked nice and edible. It was an entirely different experience than I had had here ever before. I even made a few purchases and have been back a few times to pick up quickie microwaveable lunches. If you are in the area and need a quick grocery store duck in, this is the place to go to IMHO.

MEATMEATMEAT!!! A least one type of meat goes on sale here every WEDS last till the next weds. One week a couple of months ago I got Top Sirloin for 1.99 a pound. Now they don’t advertise where the meat is from. But from what I figure it is Nebraska Corn feed beef and tasted like it too. for 1.99 a pound. Now think about that folks, omaha steaks for 2 bucks a pound. Who can beat that. So get the steak and the Mesquite charcoal from Northgate down the street for 3 or 2 bucks on sale and you have crazy good steaks that can beat RUTHCHRIS for under 10 bucks… Yes Seriously. I would give 5 stars but I have a secret place I get meat for cheaper on sale that I will never post on Unilocal because I wouldn’t want to loose great selection. *wink* later, CJ
