The Stage Door Café has the same corn dogs as the Little Red Wagon… except you can get a corn dog with french fries here! The lines are usually super long, and it takes a minute to get your food, but the available seating is ample and the view of the Rivers of America is pretty dope. They also offer some pretty good desserts(funnel cake!!!) and some other quick entrees(like fish and chips and chicken nuggets) and the prices aren’t too bad.

For food at an amusement park… this place is great! I love their fries! It’s nice and crunchy and is on the thinner side but that’s how I like it. The chicken was also good but I prefer thinner breading. Their corn dog is massive but very crispy and has the perfect ratio of corn to dog it’s just a little difficult to eat because it is so big. Their condiments though can use a little bit of work, but otherwise it’s great!

If you like greasy food, long lines, and waiting forever for your food to be finished then this is the place for you! Not my fav place in the park, but I kept hearing about the funnel cake and thought I’d give it a try. Definitely not worth the wait! Greasy, not what I thought I ordered and very disappointing. The«holiday» funnel cake I thought had chocolate sauce, whip cream, and candy cane sprinkles on it. Yeah… no peppermint on mine just red fairy dust. Chocolate sauce def better on ice cream. so many other good things to eat in the park. Don’t do it!!!

Yuck, y-u-c-k, YUCK. The funnel cakes are little, soggy, fried flour saucers. I’ve tasted plenty of funnel cakes and I know there are far better options. But because I expected it to be more, I tried it. Unfortunately yet another disappointment. Knotts funnel surpasses this and even has a ice cream topping.

Good quick stop for a funnel cake… They are pretty good… Stopped during the water show so there was no line. I expected it a little bigger but it was still a good portion.

This is the place to get the best corn dogs you’ve ever had. The wagon on the main circle used to be as well… but apparently they don’t hand dip them on the spot anymore, so this is the place to get the freshest ones. The line here is never too bad; good spot to get food and sit at the outside tables or go into the saloon and watch a show.

Truly A-OK. It’s not one of my go-to places for food, but it’s quick and convenient. They sometimes have special food items, like a red velvet funnel cake, which was good until the last three bites(so much sugar @_@). Otherwise, similar fare as the Golden Horseshoe — chicken nuggets, fish and chips, etc. Outdoor seating by the Rivers of America. Or, if you really want indoors, walk on over to the Golden Horseshoe next door(though honestly, you might as well just order from the Golden Horseshoe if you do that since they have a similar menu). Yes to AP discounts!

If it’s batter dipped and fried you will find it here! Definitely shorter lines here. The same corn dogs as at the red wagon on Main Street that I HEART but hate waiting in line there plus there is little to no seating at the red wagon. Here there is plenty of shaded seating. You’ll also find fish and chips, chicken nuggets, fries and oh yeah funnel cake! Had the nuggets this time and was shocked to find that it was real chicken breast, no really with the muscle stranding and everything! No processed pressed meat cut into«nugget» shapes(what shape is a nugget anyway?), no questionable spongy meat by product here! As far as theme park food goes this place is a guilty pleasure that hurts right down to my clogged coronary arteries! Having chest pain just writing this review.

Just arriving for Mickey’s Halloween Party and was starving. One of the Disney employees said that most places were closed except for the Stage Door Café. The lines were not very long since it was a transition time of Halloween party tickets holders arriving and others without the tickets leaving. I ordered a Corn dog, French fries and a Regular Sweet Tea. The service was great, fast and efficient. Holy cow, the corn dog was like a Hot Dog on a Stuck corn dog on steroids. Really good meal to start the Halloween fun. Show your annual pass at most of the establishments inside Disneyland and receive %15 off. I was told by a cast member if it has four walls you can get the discount. So the carts throughout the park are a no-go. Later found out that most of the eating establishments were closed because the areas were used for trick or treat stations.

Corn dogs are super huge and crispy! :) HOWEVER, I wish they turn down the oil a few levels and ease up on the salt. I had to cover my corn dog with a few napkins to soak up some grease. But pretty filling! The fries we got were kind of soggy so I would just get the corn dog a la carte.

Quick lunch stop! Predictable fare with a very limited menu so no chaos in ordering or getting served. It’s fried food mostly(plus corn dogs! fave!!) so not the healthiest park options, but certainly fine for a lunch tucked into walking 8 hours a day. Portions are ample; consider sharing.

If you’re really hungry for fish and chips this location will do. Salty, not crispy, not fresh fish. Mmmmmmm. When you’re hungry, you’re hungry. The funnel cakes are also not crispy. It’s as if they premade the plates of funnel and they’ve been sitting out until someone orders one. Yay, I get prepping for quick service but stale, soggy funnel cake is just not enjoyable. Service: Quick and friendly. Food: Stale, salty, not crispy. Soggy.

This is one of the best places in the park to grab a quick bite to eat. There is a limited menu so there is no reason to get confused or stand at the front of the line for a long time trying to decide. This is the only other place in the park, besides the cart near the Plaza Inn on Main Street, that sells corn dogs. The line is usually much shorter here than at the corn dog cart, and a lot of people tend to overlook the whole place because it’s attached to the side of one restaurant and shares a seating area with another. The rest of the menu is fish and chips, nuggets and fries, and desserts. Their funnel cakes are delicious! I love funnel cakes anyway, but these are really good. They don’t give you such a huge portion that you could never imagine finishing it, but the portion is large enough to where you can split it with someone else and get full. They also sell fried mozzarella sticks here. It’s part of the«secret menu» so it’s not listed, but if you ask for them they’ll cook them for you. #43/100

This ain’t your typical funnel cake yo! I mean, it has a MICKEY whipped cream mask on it!!! I tried the strawberry and the choco brownie. Although I highly preferred the choco, I would recommend getting it half and half cause that way it’s not too much of ONE thing. Next time though, I think I’ll just go for the good ol’ powdered sugar.

3.5 solid stars for Stage Door. Not fancy or one of the better dining options in Disneyland, but when your son wants a corn dog, what are you gonna do? Come here instead of the red wagon on Main Street, thats what! Stage Door has the same famous hand dipped corn dogs(albeit slightly less crunchy!), but with a much shorter line AND you can get fries. Same price. But if YOU want a corn dog, go to the Red Wagon, because they are better there. We also like the kids power pack for a healthy option — yogurt, banana, carrots, apple slices, gold fish. Good to balance out all the other not so healthy things they are eating! Plenty of seating nearby, with lots of umbrellas for shade. I have been to Stage Door a few times and I haven’t had the problem with their service being slow like others have mentioned, in fact, I think they are pretty quick. My food is usually out before I’ve even finished putting my wallet away.

They serve items like Fish N’ Chips, chicken nuggets, and funnel cakes; mostly standard fast food items good for a quick meal. For me, the funnel cake with brownie was good. The actual funnel cake was just ok. The thing that pushed the dessert over the top for me was the addition of brownie and the Mickey-shaped whipped crème. Anything with brownies, chocolate, and Mickey on it tastes good. I really loved the concept. If I were to go back again, I would get the funnel cake but next time with half brownie and half strawberry topping!

Although it will never replace the red corn dog cart on Main Street, the Stage Door Café also sells corn dogs with fries(instead of chips) or apples, fish & chips, funnel cake, chicken nuggets and a variety of cold & hot drinks. They even give out medium cups of water instead of the kids mini cups. The lines can be shorter than those at the red cart because of the multiple registers but it can vary throughout the day. The service is good and the staff is friendly. They take the AP discount here which is also a bonus. Good place to go if you want something fried. Nothing healthy here.

We’ve been passholders for the past few years and always had the mozzarella sticks that were off-menu. They were large, cheesy, and yummy. Were. What happened to them? They are smaller and are probably from the Kirkland brand that Costco has. There is no mistaking them. They were smaller than they used to be as well, but with the same price. You would think that they would compensate for this by giving you a few extra sticks, but noooo. It’s Disneyland. «Let’s drain the people of a few more bucks while were at it. They won’t say anything». From now on, it’s the Pizza Port for us. At least there the pizza is a decent size for the price. Or we can just save a few more bucks and secretly bring in McDonald’s.

This review is just for the Funnel Cake. My boyfriend and I was at Disneyland and we were desperate for funnel cake. Why is it so difficult to find?! We finally looked online and heard that Stage Door Café had it. We ordered just the plain powdered sugar funnel cake and it was probably my least favorite funnel cake that I have ever had. It was very thick compared to other funnel cakes that I’ve had, which made it kind taste like a big piece of fried flour.(Look at my picture). The thickness probably also made it kind of bland in flavor, so we actually just ate half of it!(Coming from two people who usually never have left over funnel cake either.) However, the other food looked really good. I was looking around at what other people ordered and it seemed pretty good. The fried food looked very crispy and yummy, so maybe I’ll come back to try something else. Tip: Seating might be difficult if the park is busy that day. I recommend one person to order the food and another person to save seating!

You would think fried food would always be good but the food here was not. Came here for Rock Your Disney Side. Food, — Chicken Tenders — $ 8.99 — You get about 6 chicken nuggets. Chicken was tender but the breading was really flavorless and unseasoned. Need to dip the crap out of them in the sauce to get some flavor. — Fish & Chips — $ 9.99 — You get 4 fish stripes and fries. Fish was super over cooked and dry. Fries were fries. You do not get tartar sauce if get a side sauce. You need sauce to take the dryness away. — Red Velvet Funnel Cake — $ 7.99 — Special funnel cake for the event. The funnel cake was nice and crispy. The cream cheese frosting was super sweet and the quality seemed like store bought. Line was long and slow. Food was whatevers. Would not come back unless I was desperate for food.
