Rubio’s

The food is not that bad. But for the price of there burito u could buy a bigger and better one some were else.

Went here for lunch today and it was awesome! I had an early day so my lunch was around 11am and there was nobody there. I got the California bowl and an original fish taco. Both were so good! I get the California bowl with chicken but i bet it’s good with any meat. The original fish taco was sooo good I wish I got another. I took my lunch to go because I was eating at home (about 7 minutes down the street) so I always get any sauce or lettuce on the side because I don’t want anything soggy. Little tip! Defiantly sign up for their club to get the free taco!

Rubio’s is apart of the fast casual trend in dining. Like a Panera Bread or a Chipotle, you order, eat and no tip or server needed.
I enjoy the baja cuisine. Expect a lot of creamier sauces, their spicy chipotle ranch is excellent along with for «fire roasted» pepper and tomato flavors. All of which I enjoy. I would say most of the menu items at Rubio’s have less emphasis on cheese, so not your typical Mexican food joint.
What’s good:
Gourmet Tacos– now I have to say I was a bit skeptical with having bacon in my tacos. But somehow the light dashing of bacon makes these tacos quite good and different. I get mine with steak and enjoy the hot salsa at the salsa bar with these. Served with rice, beans and/​or chips. Under $ 9 so not pricy but not cheap.
Outside seating– nice patio area with lots of shaded tables and seating. Very nice!
Salsa bar– All Rubio’s sauces are made from scratch. The green salsa which is fairly mild has a great lime and chili flavor. The hot has a great combination of fire roasted flavors and heat. Yummy!
E-​club– do sign up for their email club. You get FREE food all the time. They just renovated the Anaheim Hills location and gave me a coupon for a free meal. Of course I am going to use!
Overall, tasty and quick, and good flavors. Great for lunch and won’t break the bank.

Super friendly customer service & really good food. I know they have a good taco tuesday deal as well. $ 1.50 for fish tacos I believe. Akways friendly & helpful staff

I am a Rubios fan. I like the menu and I like knowing what to expect. Unfortunately this particular property tends to have longer than normal wait times for the food. Perhaps they are always t raining new staff but they do not seem to get the food out as quickly as the other Rubio’s I frequent. I also want to say that their recent «remodel» is seriously flawed at the salsa bar. The newly remodeled bar is too low – one has to bend over to reach the salsa under the glass shield and the bar cannot be accessed from two sides which would help the bottleneck at the salsa bar. I do not think a lot of actual thought went into this particular design. It makes for a sloppy salsa bar and a slow rate of use for customers. Give us the old salsa bar back!

My husband and I truly enjoy coming here for Taco Tuesday date night. The fish tacos are so good and filing. The tortilla soup is really tasty also. The service is also very good, they go out of their way to accommodate you.

Ate their grilled gourmet veggie taco. Loved it. Would love to return to this place when I am back in this area.

Brandon is a great customer service rep. Didn’t rush me or seem annoyed that i took forever. Love the food too!

Not that nice of service always eye rolls and attitude from employees and now we have called 17 times and no one has answered and they are still open for another 50 minutes.

The pacific blackened mahi mahi burrito in a whole wheat tortilla, no cabbage. It’s so good! Service is always friendly.
Only thing is that sometimes the ratio of the ingredients varies… Sometimes no guac, sometimes a super small amount of fish, other times all fish. With that though, the flavor is always still realllllly good and it is still worth it!!!

Impressive
This is easily the nicest Rubio’s I’ve ever visited. I was thoroughly impressed.
We kind of all know what to expect from Rubio’s for the most part. We know what the food tastes like and depending on the restaurant, you either get a good version or bad version of that food. Here you get a good version of that food, which is definitely a positive start. But what really impressed me was the service and overall look and feel of the restaurant.
Everyone here is exceptionally pleasant. The guy who took our order maintained patience and friendliness while my mother-​in-​law kept trying to decide what she wanted and then changing her mind. Seriously, good for him. If he can deal with that while keeping a smile, he’s going to do well in life. He’s a better man than me.
Our order was to-​go and the guy who prepped and packaged was also very nice. He made sure to read off each order and then showed it to me to make sure it met expectations. He packaged our salsa for us and we were good to go.
The inside of the restaurant was great. Very clean and modern looking inside. Some Rubio’s don’t always stay as vigilant as they should with keeping the salsa bar clean. Really it’s the customer’s fault for being pigs and making such a mess, but it’s nice to have it cleaned up. And they’re all over that here.
I’ll definitely be back — no question about it.

I like their regular fish tacos, especially the thick, chewy corn tortillas. What I don’t like is that they’re $ 2.99 each. I can get a better value locally at other non-​chain taquerias.

Great, friendly staff and wonderful food too! The Jalapeño Citrus salsa is awesome too! Grilled Mahi Burrito all the way!

Delicious, convenient food.

This place has great service. That’s why they get 5 stars. Nice employees that go the extra mile. The food is «expected» as it is a chain, there is nothing special about this places. Price is good for the quality of food you get. Parking sucks and sometimes if it’s really busy, you have to stand and wait for your food (Togo orders) since there are only 2 chairs right next to the front door (also kinda annoying)

I love the Grilled Veggie «Cali Bowl»! I add grilled corn and ask for light rice, extra lettuce. But their rice is delish! Cilantro lime rice. Yum. I recommend some thick red and chipotle sauce from the salsa bar on top too! Soo good!

It’s been a few years since I went into a Rubio’s restaurant and after my visit yesterday I think I’ll be back. I ordered a Rubio’s Burrito Especial with chicken off of their new menu (new to me anyway). The girl then brought it out to my table and I was pleasantly surprised to see the way it had been prepared and artfully presented.
My only real squawk is that Rubio’s doesn’t even provide salt and pepper at the table. To get them or a napkin, you’ve got to walk over to a condiment center near the drink machine on the other side of the building. Heck — even Carl’s Jr. provides salt and pepper for creep sake!
But back to my burrito. It was pretty good. If I go back I’ll just have to deal with the insult about the salt and pepper not being at my table.

My favorite fast food joint in Anaheim Hills. The place is clean and always makes my shrimp burritos great every time.

I love Rubio’s! It has great food and great customer service, and the staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I love the HealthMex Chicken or Mahi Mahi burritos with guacamole added. I also recently tried the Balsamic Roasted Veggie Salad with Tilapia and it was also delicious! It’s great having a healthy Mexican food restaurant that I can rely on to get my burrito fix.
We also have gotten pickup catering for a party and it was fantastic! We got the «build your own taco bar» and Balsamic Roasted Veggie Salad and the food was delicious and came well packaged with all the necessities, even including salad tongs and serving spoons! I will 100% come back to Rubio’s to pickup food for my next party!
