Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers costs $ 50 for providers, $ 40 for renewal. Look at schedule and book online. Class lasts approx. two hours and progresses from video and simulated practice, to individual/two-person CPR and written test. BLS for Healthcare Providers includes AED/CPR and Heimlich for adults, children, and infants. Tip: Don’t show up 15 minutes late, or you will get scolded at by the admin. Haha.

$ 140 total for ACLS and BLS renewal was not so bad to shell out considering some of the other places in the area charge much more. I finished my renewals today with Vincent and Larry and have to say they were great. Very friendly, informative. The facility is very nice and equipment was in good condition. I definitely recommend this place if you have to renew BLS or ACLS, just be sure to bring a jacket/sweater because they keep it pretty chilly inside.

Calling all Healthcare providers! If you need to renew your CPR certification, then I suggest RCP Advanced Life Support in Anaheim. I have gone here twice for the AHABLS renewal course and it was very educational, but best of all, the class started at 6pm and we were out of there by 8pm! The renewal course cost $ 40, but there is a $ 5 discount if you are a returning customer, so I only had to pay $ 35. Oh, but get this, my friend who is in the Army came along with me and she didn’t have to pay a penny, she was FREE! You can purchase the BLS manual for $ 20 and it comes with a CD-ROM which basically covers what you would be learning in the course. You are given a 20 question test and once you pass, you are automatically given your CPR card. The card is valid for 2 years through the American Heart Association. Just a tip on finding the place: after exiting Brookhurst from the 5 South FWY, make a right, then a left on Crescent Ave(there is no Gramercy, darn GPS doesn’t know that) and, there are two streets called Valley, make a left on the second one and not the first. I made the mistake and we ended up by some apartment building, uh hard to see in the dark. The doors close at 6:15pm if you plan on taking the 6pm course, but just check for your desired course and time. Oh and one more thing: 30 compressions for every 2 breaths for CPR! That will come in handy someday!
