When I contacted PBP, they were very attentive to my needs and set up multiple sessions that allowed me to navigate my transfer process & take the right classes. I hope other students out there that are applying for college or looking to transfer can utilize the resources that Prep By Prep provided for me. When you have consultants that care about your personal goals and future plans, it makes the experience enjoyable to not be alone in the process of moving forward in your academic career. My little cousin has been coming to Prep by Prep for English tutoring for a few months now, and he loves it (as much as you can love a tutoring center). I am very impressed with how young the team is, and how much effort they put into making sure they provide a better education for students. Found them on Unilocal and decided to give their service a try after I did some self-​study GRE books and saw little improvement in my scores. Before Prep by Prep, my scores were mediocre at best. Stressing about applying to grad schools and even studying for the GRE, lead me to this tutoring center. I called Prep By Prep and signed up with one of their consultants to help me with the admissions process and how to prepare for the GRE. These guys do it all — from high school ACT/​SAT/​Subject Tutoring to college GRE, GMAT, MCAT; you name it!
Travys helped me apply to multiple schools in Orange County and Los Angeles and I worked with the instructors to increase my GRE scores. I was put into a 3 month program where I met up regularly at the Anaheim process to cover the basics of Math, Critical Reading, and Writing. My instructors gave me the 1 on 1 attention I needed and it really helped! My confidence really grew with the practice exams and the review after every exam. No wonder the SAT kids and ACT kids score so highly here with the level of detail. This place is not a boot camp; it is a place that is steady paced to cultivate and empower you to use critical thinking and elimination to tackle these terrible standardized exams. I scored in a competitive percentile for Quantitative and Verbal, and I owe it to these guys at Prep By Prep. Thank you for helping me with my future!

Throughout high school, I struggled with anxiety and stress management issues. So, imagine the pressure I was under during the college application process. But luckily, I found prep by prep on Unilocal and went to them for help with college admissions.
From day 1, Prep by Prep has been professional and reliable. So much, that I continued to go there, despite the one hour drive to get there.
My consultants at P b P, Travys and Michael, were not only extremely understanding and flexible, but also very knowledgeable on the application process, essays, and scholarships. I have been sent to tutoring places since I was 5 years old, but I have never gotten such personalized help. They helped capitalize on my strengths and play on my weaknesses to help my chances at attending my dream school.

I had difficulty with Calculus and my tutor Travys was able to get me from a C+ to an A– in the class. All of our sessions were one-​on-​one at their office and were able to assess what my problem areas were. I came in for about 5 hours a week, and in no time I could see improvements on every upcoming exam. Travys and his team are really great and friendly, and I was able to contact them via email, text, or phone. They helped with my admissions process for UCSD and I am truly thankful for all of their help. I referred them to one of my cousins who is currently signed up with their SAT Program.

Ever since I was little, my dream was to go to UCLA like my mom and dad. I had decent grades and was captain of my Lacrosse team, but I did not know anything about how to get into college. I thought I could self study, so I bought myself an SAT book and took the practice tests. After several tests, my best score was an 1850 and I knew that wouldn’t be enough to get me into UCLA.
After looking on Unilocal,I went to Prep by Prep for help and I was so happy that I was accepted to my dream school. I spent my senior year summer with Prep by Prep and I learned the proper way to attack the SAT and finished with a 2110. Travys and Michael helped me write my personal statement and found me some scholarships that I was eligible for. I am attending UCLA as a biochemistry major and starting off my first semester without having to pay a dime due to the scholarships I have received.
My parents now tell all their friends to attend Prep by Prep for all their SAT and college consulting needs.

Prep By Prep always comes to my rescue!
I’ve been with Prep for about almost a year, and they’ve helped me greatly with my personal statement and essays. Currently, I have two consultants, Natalie and Travys, and they are so helpful! We have scheduled appointments and they’ve basically planned out my 4 year plan which makes it easy for me to know what I have to do and what my parents should expect from the latest trends.
The place is on the 2^nd floor in the Anaheim Hills Village Center, and is definitely the best looking academy I have been to. Tutor lectures near the Touch TV, and there is a whiteboard, new white tables, and comfortable chairs. It’s definitely the type of place you want to learn in.
I have several friends that think the program is really well made especially their SAT program since a lot of them raised their scores after the June exam recently.
I love knowing that my tutors and consultants are all from a top UC or private school, and they’re not just «seasonal» people being hired who are still in college. Basically, what you see is what you get and what you get is the best at Prep By Prep!

Prep By Prep is a hidden gem in the Anaheim area! Around our high school, we have those big test prep companies that send out flyers every week to enroll in their program. But, Prep By Prep hosted a college night for all the parents and students, and went over ALL the details when it came to getting into UC’s, private schools, and then acing the SAT. My family and I were definitely happy to have heard their top instructors and consultants speak. The one on one attention from people that know the SAT inside and out is really appealing, as well as the easy admissions process guidance. Unfortunately, counselors at high schools are just too overwhelmed nowadays, and you need folks that care like Prep By Prep!

True professional college consultants! First off, the place is gorgeous and is an excellent center to learn. Smart TV’s are hooked up to show a digital way to learn as well as frosted glass boards for the instructor to write on. Most tutoring centers that I’ve seen and been through are just very simple, plain, and boring. This place has been well thought out to accommodate the student. Moreover, the instructors are some of the most personable and energetic people I’ve met. The team here really cares about your own personal success story and the tools you need to get there. I’m happy to say this isn’t one of those test prep factories that students come in and out of by the dozen.

Prep by Prep Tutoring & Consulting is a remarkable program that allows young adults to be competent as well as confident when taking the SAT exam. One of the best ways to prepare incoming college students towards professional schools that they aspire to be in. I highly recommend Prep by Prep Tutoring & Consulting for high school students that are pursuing their interest for going to college and beyond.

I’ll summarize my experience with Prep By Prep:
a. PROS: Clean facility. Bright colors. Not run-​down or janky looking like most tutoring centers. Instructors that are both nice and smart. Free refreshments, nice seating, nice tables, great location (right next to In-​N-​Out so you can grab some food) All in all, very modern, affordable, and effective. Evan and Michael let you sit in on any future classes at no cost and they really want to see you do well.
b. CONS: Not too many, I don’t like walking up flights of stairs (But that’s just because I’m lazy). A little hard to find since it’s in the 2^nd floor, but once you know where it is you can always get there (at least it’s in the front). They could maybe give out some snacks or play some more music.
c. CONCLUSION: Great tutoring place. I used to go to one of those places where they have a bunch of kids and the instructor just lectures everyone. At this tutoring center, the smaller numbers make the class more intimate and diverse. Having teachers that care about how you do well on your AP’s and SAT’s really makes a difference you know. You don’t feel like they’re just taking your money and running with it. Recommending it to my cousin.

I really wanted to share my consulting experiences with the counselors at Prep By Prep. Michael really knows his stuff. He knows the ins and outs when it comes to admissions, especially at the top UC’s. When I came in with my mother, he broke it down to us in terms of charts, graphs, and statistics about the recent class of admitted students. There was no fluffing around and he let my mom and I know what was realistic for me and what wasn’t. We focused on a goal and he helped me through the application and essay writing process. All I can say is, I wouldn’t be at UCLA now if it wasn’t for him. The application process is a headache, and parents don’t know anything about it. But he made it super easy and walked us right through it. When it came to making my essay stand out or highlighting my extracurriculars, he did it all perfectly and helped me to create something I was really proud of! I still keep in contact with him whenever I need help deciding what classes to take. Honestly, most tutors don’t do that!

One of the biggest problems I had with standardized tests like SAT or the DAT was usually the writing and verbal section. When it came to math or science, it was always a bit of a breeze. But to think the SAT gives you like a 8 paragraph passage that you have to read in 3 minutes and then answer each question in less than 1 minute for a total of 12 minutes??? That’s crazy! It seemed almost impossible, and I was struggling with the writing and critical reading session.
But of course… all of this changed when I signed for one of the intensive programs at Prep By Prep. I think what worked for me was their APPROACH. They didn’t make me feel like I was dumb, and encouraged me the whole way. I know it’s a bit cheesy, but they kind of unlocked my untapped potential. It first started with them reading through the passage with me, and breaking down the main themes and the main points of the passage. I got into this habit of just re-​reading the passage over and over and that’s what made me lost time. But these guys helped me develop a technique and a system to process the information faster and not waste time. By week 8, I was going through passages in 2 – 3 minutes and answering questions without a problem. I went from literally one of the lowest scores in verbal and writing, to scoring top percentile in my practice exams.
These tests are ALL PSYCHOLOGICAL, and Prep By Prep helped me break through that psychology. Maybe its how much care they put into students like me, or maybe it’s the environment, or maybe it’s just me that got a little push — but I overcame one of my biggest weaknesses at this tutoring company. I can’t imagine what they do for other students whether it’d be a weakness in math or reading like myself — but it works. Prep By Prep works. And I’m super grateful.

I first started with Prep by Prep my junior year of high school and I cannot be anymore amazed of how far they helped me go. My mentors, Evan and Michael, were there to help me every step of the way. They helped me achieve my goals on all of my AP tests to college applications to my SATs. I learn more from my instructors than the teacher at school, they make things simple for me to understand. I would never think that I would learn so much in all my life in three short years. I took all of the skills they taught me in high school and brought it with me to college. They were extremely honest with my progress and took the time make sure I understood what I was learning. I’m now on my way in hopes of becoming a registered nurse, and looking back at what I had done, and without the inspiration of the instructors at Prep by Prep I would not have been able to do by myself.
