Somehow my negative review was deleted by Unilocal HQ, I’ve heard that business’ can now pay Unilocal to remove unfavorable reviews. Not sure if that is the case here or not. Anyways we originally dealt with this law office for a probate case. Apparently the lawyer we dealt with is no longer with the company, so there is that. But it was not a good experience, we were pressured to just sign documents without a clear understanding of them, phone calls were not returned, the lawyer was short and very rude to us. When I posted my original review I received an email from Stephen Mashney the owner asking me to remove the review, when I did not I received a threatening email from him telling me F*ck You because I was hurting his business with my negative review. Absolutely not appropriate for a business owner to do! Who does that?! Not a professional lawyer or business. Save yourself grief and go elsewhere. This was my experience not to say all would have a bad experience, but personally I wouldn’t bank of doing business with someone who write threatening letters and tells former client f*ck You. Sorry if you think this will hurt you business you should have thought about that before you wrote me that awful, threatening letter.

I have used the services of Mr. Mashney for immigration matters for at least 5 years now, and had the pleasure to recommend him to others. Mr. Mashney is very knowledgable, and his staff Ms. Orozco is most helpful. On one occasion when a relative anticipated a problem at LAX, I called Mr. Mashney after hours, and he was more than willing to be on stand by in case his services were needed. I highly recommend him.

A couple years ago I was in a car accident that was extremely life changing to the point where I had to leave my job and drop out of college for a couple of months.
Natural instinct of getting in a car accident was to get a lawyer. So there was this guy that we were talking to. He ended up forging my signature and I didn’t see a dime for months. I just thought I didn’t get any money from my accident. So I ended up telling one of my friends what happened and then she referred me to Mr. Mashney, which was her father. So I saw Mr. Mashney and it was a different situation because you don’t expect to be screwed over by a lawyer. So I told Mr. Mashney what had happened and he let me know that this lawyer had been involved in some shady activity and that I was entitled to my money. It was a long, hard and emotional process to get this other crook lawyer to give me the money I deserved. Honestly, Mr. Mashney treated me like family and I still appreciate it to this day that him and his law firm took care of me. Always answered my calls and questions. And they also made sure my experience wasn’t over whelming since I am only 21. I was 19 when I got into the accident. I trust Mr. Mashney and I still consider him my lawyer if anything else was to ever happen. Everything was straight forward. He always told me what was going on and I felt that I was getting the best experience, especially since I had to deal with that other crook lawyer. I appreciate everything the Mashney Law Office has done for me.
Also it was really thoughtful that he gave me a 15%-20% discount even though I never asked him too.
I highly recommend him if you want your case to go as smoothly as possible and to get the results that you want.

I was a student in need, and Stephen resolved my problem. I was so concerned with the cost because I didn’t have any money. Out of the goodness of his heart, he didn’t charge me and even bought me lunch!

Mashney Law Offices were able to reduce my DUI charge into a Wet and Reckless and this was very helpful for me. The sole reason why it was helpful was because it wont be on my record. I was very pleased by (my father) Stephen B. Mashney’s persistence and interest in the case and i have noticed that it was no more interest then when I would shadow him with other clients. Mashney Law Offices unconditionally provides their clients with the utmost respect and determination with each and every case.

I was contacted by Stephen Mashney to follow up on my experience with Tom. For that, I am updating the Unilocal rating purely because the attorney I had the 1-​star experience with (Tom) is no longer with the office, and it would be unfair to project this review to the other attorneys who work with the office still.
Stephen Mashney, on the other hand, has at least made the effort to reach out and try to resolve any continuing conflicts. Although my case has long been closed since the first review (below), I appreciate his approach and hope that it is more representative of the entire office.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Horrible service. Tom, one of the attorneys, continued to interrupt me when I was trying to explain the background of the summons. He then again told me that child support cannot be waived, then informed me that he charges a flat rate for his services and he will proceed to file the response. Two cancelled meetings later, we arrive to his office hours before the mediation appointment to try to meet for the THIRD time. It was then that he told us he will have to drop the case because he didn’t have time to do any work on it. 2 – 3 weeks behind, we decided to find another attorney to help us file the response and also prepare for the court date.
There are so many better places to go. I don’t know if this attorney hates his job — he seemed like it when he was rolling his eyes and shaking his head as I was talking. Luckily, we received a refund but if you’re looking for reliability and a lawyer who actually cares, don’t come here.

I don’t know where to start. Mr. Sami has been my Attorny for years. He is loyal, intelligent and wonderful in every aspect. He helped me and my family with our immigration status and kept his words on what he promised us. As long as he’s in business I will always come back to him. I highly recommend him to all my friends and family. I’m grateful to him in every way.

I strongly recommend the support of the Mashney Law Offices for both business and individual legal matters. within at least the past 14 years, I have never lost one case, even traffic tickets, thanks to the help of Mr. Mashney and his outstanding team. I came into this office and dealt with Sammy Mashney. He is the most unprofessional and the rudest person i have ever dealt with. I came in to have a document notarized and Mr Sammy Mashney accused me of being rude, ripped up the documents I was holding, threw the money i had paid to the clerk in my face, he told me to leave and threatened to sue me and call the police? ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE! This is how Sammy treated me as I came into his office for professional service, if thats what he claims to provide. He called me terrible names and all of this in front of his whole staff. I couldn’t believe that this was really happening. He should have his license revoked, he is a shame to all lawyers.
Apparently a notary does not cost enough for him to provide decent and fair customer service from him or his office. I write this review because i don’t want anyone else to go through the same situation that i did because it really had a effect on me especially as a women. I hope anyone who reads this really thinks about this when choosing to visit his office.

Had a great experience with Mr. Mashney. He was very professional and gave me good advice. He took my concerns seriously and I appreciated him seeing me on such short notice.

I received a referral from my legal assistance plan through work. I scheduled a 4:30 appointment and gave them my referral ID#, the day before the appointment I received a message from Emmanuel that my appointment was at 4pm. I arrived before 4 and was now told that my appointment was not until 4:30. When I played the recording Emmanuel telling me 4pm the receptionist said he makes many calls and he just must of messed up on the time. I waited and waited for Mashney when I finally got to see him he asked for my referral ID. I told him that I gave it when I scheduled the appointment. He refused to even speak to me unless I gave him the ID number again. Since it was now so late I could not even call my employer to get the information. mr. mashney was just very rude/​likes to interrupt and only seemed like he was interested in getting his cash.

Unfortunately it has been some time since dealing with Luis. He had been attempting to get a lean on my case. It is very disturbing because he made promises and made it seem he was a good listener. In fact he was terrible. I feel that it would be in my best interest no to come down. my case was solved through another firm. His poor work ethic does represent your firm

If you have a workman’s comp case avoid this place. Self proclaimed Pres. Luis Perez of united legal services, inc. Makes lots of promises and pretends to be very knowledgeable. He acts very professional. He is a clown in disguise. When your current job that is not making your life any easier Luis will find a way to make your life worse. If you need to see a doctor he will send you to a chiropractor. He will then tell you there are alternative medicine’s that need to be explored. acupuncture, and physical therapy. Before ever seeing a real doctor. He will not take anything you say in to consideration and feels he knows the best treatment for you health. He is a liar. If you talk to him and ask very specific questions like. The Doctors office your sending me to is not worn down ghetto right? He says yes… But really. Chiropractor is not a doctor but yes I will send you there before you see a real doctor 3 months from now. Of course ignore the rundown office I’m sending u too, don’t touch any of the walls unless you have had all your vaccinations. Stupid me didn’t Unilocal the office before I went. Horrible. If you are injured at work and need legal advice and care about recovery, and getting better don’t think once or twice about going here. Just don’t go. The sad part of this whole review the real attorneys at this firm are legit. Lesson for them don’t contract or outsource to idiots.

So I removed my previous review, because Mashney Law Offices sent me a letter today to threaten me that they will SUE me if I don’t remove it. (I Used to be their client). I guess they just want people to see the good reviews and not All reviews. So I think I am having emotional distress because of that letter, which is effecting me performing my Job and taking care of my family, because my wife and I feel threatned by Mashney Law Offices.

I had to deal with some legalities just recently and called up Sammy Mashney since he is just a few minutes away from my home. I have to say that I was very impressed with the customer service and quality of work he and his office employees do. They were always smiling, polite and were quick to return phone calls and questions. Mashney himself was a gentleman. A sweet man, always greeted me with a smile and was always patient with my layman questions. He exuded a kindness that is rarely seen in this industry. I would recommend Sammy Mashney hands down. I really appreciated the work they did for me.

I used Mashney Law Offices when I had my auto accident and was very pleased with their top notch service. Mr. Mashney is a hands-​on attorney who will return your calls and answer your emails promptly. His staff is very efficient and friendly. I highly recommend them.
