Hole in the wall restaurants are my thing. I love these mom and pops kind of shops. This is no exception. Not a great neighborhood and not well kept up, but it’s about the food right?
Usual Mexican food, burritos, tacos, combo plates, etc. I ordered the carnitas chile burrito. Cost about $ 7. Burrito was a decent size but not huge by any means. My friend ordered 3 carne asada tacos. Cost about $ 9. Tacos were larger than street tacos. Food tasted great. Good flavor, right temperature, good salsa, so why the terrible rating?
The next day I was sick as a dog from the burrito. Stuck on the toilet for at least an hour first thing in the morning. My friend didn’t get sick from the tacos so it must have been the burrito. I will not come back here again.

Got there around 11:20 and moment we got there. They closed on us and they didn’t even bother to look at us or let us in. So that was disappointing. I’m only giving this place a one star until I try the food cause it was my first time to try it and they closed on us. So when I get a chance to try I’ll put a more stars. But yeah they close at 12 and we were still too late

First timer today && omg!!! One of the best Mexican food places I’ve been too. You can literally taste the quality of the food so delicious the dedication is there lol definitely will be back!

Great tacos and super friendly staff. New spot to go to when we leave knotts. The salsa and carne asada tacos are the bomb. My son loved his bean and cheese burrito. Will definitely be completely my back.

They serve menudo daily here & are open 24 hour on weekends & until midnight most nights! I ordered 3 tacos my favorite potato, fish (Baja style), & carne asada. Everything was done right potatoes taco was crispy had crema, lettuce, & cheese $ 1.99, fish taco was battered, fried, & came with a delicious crème sauce $ 2.99, & the carne asada was full of flavor & moist included guacamole $ 2.99. I will be back!

For some reason my review of this place keeps dropping off. The skinny on this restaurant is everything they make here is very good. I’m a fsn of their carne asada burritos. I found this one odd but its by far one item you must try, potatoe tacos. Sounds odd but damb its good. I’m also a massive fan of their homemade salsa. If you don’t like spicy, stay away. family owned with excellent customer service

Was here visiting for the week and wanted something awesome & rememberable. This place was dope. Great everything from burritos, to tacos, & the tortadas. Service was amazing too. Just bring cash since its cash only. The hole in the wall you want to find.

One of my favorites. I’ve tried the carne asada burrito, the potato tacos, and the california fries — all absolutely delicious and fresh! The meat isn’t chewy like at most places.
The service is super fast and every person I’ve met there is super helpful and nice. And for the value? Can’t be beat. Just remember to bring cash for this awesome family business.

What do you do when you are starving at 4am in the morning?
Although I try to not make it a habit, Little Caboose never fails as an after party go toer. The last time I came here was with another friend. I went for some carne asada tacos, pollo, and fish tacos. We also went for their carne asada fries. Everything came out served with their amazing salsa that had plenty of flavors and the perfect consistency. For about $ 2 per taco, you get a huge double tortilla taco filled with plenty of goods. Their carne asada is perfectly flavored without being too salty like other taco shops. Their pollo isn’t dry and their fish is battered and fried perfectly. None of the tacos was overly greasy like other places which I like. The carne asada fries which we barely touched because it was so huge was also good. I liked that it had plenty of really good guac and meat. As for the inside of this place, you order at the register and they bring it out to you. I wish they had a salsa bar. The inside is small but there is a good amount of tables and chairs. Overall, for some good cheap mexican food that opens late, Little Caboose is a great choice.

Went at like midnight last night and they were open! The atmosphere is awesome, the guy that helped was attentive and sweet. Food was ready right away, and man was it bomb! At this time you do have those who come in from a good night and if you don’t stay for the food, their entertainment should suffice as well lol And that salsa!!! So bomb! Great taste with a kick! Haven’t had good salsa like that in a while

First time here and the guy at the cashier is super sweet.
Food is bomb, ordered a breakfast burrito (sausage), lil bro ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, and my sister ordered a steak torta all of it was great! Will be coming back.

I love this little taco shop. My gf and I come here randomly when we’re in the mood for some potato and fish tacos.
The service is fast and the tacos taste fresh.

Friendly service and the best California fries I have ever had. It’s cash only with an atm inside. I haven’t tried most of their other options of burgers, burittos and other extras because the fries are just that yummy. Also, you will rarely find any fat on the steak pieces which is a huge plus for me. Its also open late so you can kill those late night cravings you’re sure to have. Its family owned and they treat you like family, too.

Had the asada torta, California fries and the chili Colorado… everything is extraordinary! So warm and fresh!!!

Yummy!!! I’ve only tried the California burrito here and damn it is GOOOOD. Fries in a burrito? That is geniussss. First time (sober enough to remember: p) trying a California burrito and I don’t think I can go back to eating just a regular boring burrito. Only downside is the sauce they gave us was in a tiny container, but I’m sure you can ask for more. Too bad I live too far from Little Caboose :(Need to start searching for California burritos in LA now.

Hands down my favorite place to eat of ALL TIME. been going here about 13 years, and I’ve shown well over 50 ppl who pretty much all agree. Love that it’s family run, potato tacos, shredded beef tacos, bean tostada… it’s all amazing. Cash only so be prepared although they have an atm. Loved the old location bc it was just what little caboose was all about but nice that there’s more seating here. Love you guys!

Bomb breakfast burrito! About $ 6.75 for a huge burrito packed with everything: eggs, crispy hashbrowns, sausage, bacon and cheese. They do not skimp out with either the burrito or the salsa– which by the way, is also awesome; homemade. I’m definitely looking to come back for a lunch burrito or those potato tacos everyone is raving about. Plus, it’s family owned and the people are very polite and welcoming. Totally prefer this place to generic Alberto’s across the street.

Food is great here, specially the red sauce that comes with enchiladas. I have only tried limited items on the menu but will try others soon, I hope they will keep up the expectations. One thing to note is that this restaurant closes at 2 pm on Sunday which is little bit awkward as I would like to suggest to keep it open until the normal closing hours on that day which around 10 pm.

Me and my family have been going to this place since I was little now I take my kids here. Best food ever the potatoe tacos are to die for. The nicest family running it also they make you feel like family. Can’t say enough great things try it out you won’t be dissapointed.

been eating here for years. the good olé days on beach blvd they serve beer. the prices have gotten a bit hig now. Everything I have ever had is good but the machaca and chorizo plates are the best around

I come here for one thing and one thing only… POTATO TACOS! You may think, «What in the world is that?» It’s tacos sent from the heavens above. It’s a hard shell taco with mashed potatoes, topped with lettuce and parmesan cheese. BOMB DOT COM.
If you’re looking for something new and interesting, go here! I try my best to introduce this place to numerous friends, and all of them have enjoyed their experience here. It’s a family run business, but the workers there are EXTREMELY NICE. Blows my mind… This place is open throughout the night, so if your late night taco cravings kick in, head on over. I absolutely love this place!

Been coming here for years. Well, the old location on Beach, then this one. Like always, the food here is always outstanding. I seem to always order the same, shredded beef tacos. Outstanding. Crunchy, light and full flavored. The salsa compliments the tacos and other food very well. Yesterday i came to try the menudo. I have to say it was outstanding. Hands down one of the best menudo’s i’ve ever had. Thats why im here again today. You cant go wrong with any of their food items here. 5 stars!!!

Hands down best Mexican food spot in town. Kenny and the gang make you feel like part of their family. Eggs a la fiesta burrito, chile relleno burrito, and potato tacos are among my favorites. Their salsa is so good it’s like crack. A must try joint!!! Cash only.
