I have to say this has been the worse experience in any ihop location. My friend from China was excited to try it for the first time. It took 15 minutes before our server checked back on us, then another 25 minutes to receive our food and finally found hair in the hash brown. We had 3 different people try to attend our table and the only one that is worth mentioning is Marcella. She’s friendly and upbeat. If it wasn’t for her, I was about to leave.

Whether it be inside Disneyland, across the way in California Adventure, a short walk into Downtown Disney, or leaving park property; attending Disneyland later in the day will almost always guarantee a visit to a restaurant at some point for an overpriced meal. On this particular Saturday, it was choice between Pizza Press(carbs) and IHOP(more carbs). I finally was able to get the better half to admit she was craving Swedish Pancakes which required us to walk across Harbor Boulevard( ) and right into( ) IHOP. Al and Jerry Lapin, with investors Al and Trudy Kallis, open the first International House of Pancakes in Toluca Lake, California in 1958 with the concept of giving people a place to connect with each other over breakfast. By 1960, the restaurant started to expand by franchising and the following year was being publicly traded under the name International House of Pancakes. In 1973, the acronym IHOP was used for the first time and six years later the last of the A-Frame restaurants were built. Today IHOP boasts 1,650 locations with more than 70 of the locations being of the international variety and the rest being located in the United States. I believe we arrived around 7:00 pm and there was no problem getting a table as the restaurant( ) was at less than half capacity. We were seated, given menus and silverware and our drink order was taken all in short order. We both ordered water and I add a large orange juice. Our server returned with our drinks and we were ready to order. My better half ordered the Swedish Crepes( ) and I went with the Double Blueberry Pancakes( ) as my entrée /dessert. In hindsight, I wish I would have ordered some bacon or sausage, the savory protein would have helped cut the extreme sweet! Going back to my original statement about an overpriced meal. The 12 ounce glass of Tropicana(i.e. not fresh) Orange Juice was $ 3.99 which is basically highway robbery for a juice out of a container! The entrees are about $ 4.00 higher than other IHOPs in Orange County and that is attributed to this location being literally across to the biggest tourist attraction in the state. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but my better half’s crepes were seriously lacking in lingonberries. There was no where near enough lingonberries on top to spread across the four crepes and the lingonberry butter was non existent. When Laina asked the person who brought the crepes for some more butter, she returned with a single container of regular butter. Guess some of the staff need to brush up on the menu! When our actual server dropped by to check on us, he was able to procure two containers of the lingonberry butter, but it took an excessive amount of time(maybe they were churning fresh in the kitchen?!). Once Laina actually had what she ordered, the crepes seemed sate her cravings. My pancakes had a good amount of blueberries inside and compote on the outside. I decided this wasn’t enough blueberry flavor and added the blueberry syrup sitting at the table, thus turning dinner into dessert. Other than the blueberry overload, there was nothing remarkable about the pancakes. These pancakes are a little thicker than your average, but were still fluffy on the inside, the flavor was just okay. The service was about what you expect at IHOP. The food did make it to our table hot and our server did come back once to check on us and refill the water glasses. I guess I can’t really expect much more than that considering the restaurant. The family of seven that was seated in front of us had a toddler that was not terribly thrilled to at IHOP, but at least the mother realized the rest of the restaurant didn’t want to have their dinner with a side of loud crying and took her toddler outside to calm it down. The Piece de Resistance was having a homeless person parked behind us as we were finishing our meal. As previously stated, the restaurant less than half full. So was it really necessary to seat a homeless person right behind our table? Rohlinism: Nothing says«it’s time to pay your check» like seating a homeless person next to you. I am not a soulless human being and I find the homeless situation to be extremely sad, however I don’t want a reminder of this plight while I am try to eat a meal. You are not going to get your money’s worth no matter where you eat in proximity to Disneyland, but there are much better places to get a meal in this area!

Happy with food/service. No complaints at all. We ordered b-fast & it was delish! Plus, KIDSEATFREE from 4pm-midnight(1 kid per adult meal). A bit more pricey than normal IHOPS, but that’s to be expected being so close to Disney.

This place is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. I absolutely LOVEIHOP(and I mean, LOVE!), but this place is definitely an exception. Yes, the fact that it’s close to Disney is a plus, but it’s still double the price for almost anything you order. I spent nearly $ 20 for a burger and fries. Our server wasn’t that great either. He kept skipping over us anytime we needed a refill on coffee or sodas, completely inattentive to us when the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Also, Disney cast members, take note: They do NOT offer the cast discount anymore! At one point, the price point was bearable because the discount offered to Disney cast members brought it down to almost what normal IHOPs charge for their meals. Not anymore. Huge thumbs down to management, I almost walked next door to Denny’s(and I hate Denny’s). Definitely will not be coming back here unless I’m with a group who insists on eating here.

Would you like to know one of my pet peeves? When a chain restaurant price Galjour’s because they’re next to Disneyland. So at every other IHOP, their specials are 6.99 to 8.99… Right?!? Not here. $ 13 for a stack of FREAKIN pancakes. And not even great pancakes. Mediocre pancakes. Whoever authorized this particular IHOP to add $ 5 to every item should be throat punched. This is one of the most disposable things a chain restaurant can do. They are supposed to be the same price everywhere you go. Screw IHOP. I’ll find a local breakfast company every time from now on. IHOP, you guys just lost another customer.

Gostei muito do serviço ágil! Teve balões para as crianças e eles adoraram! Restaurante 24 hs, e é a maior franquia de panquecas dos USA!

If you want food served painfully slow, uncaring service and to be virtually forgotten between order taking and check delivery(despite it being kind of dead) at prices about 30% higher than the average iHop, you’ve come to the right place. They know people will come since they’re right across from Disney so they obviously don’t care about repeat business. At these prices you may as well eat IN Disney. You’ll get food that’s as good or better and you know you’ll get great service.

Prices for breakfast here is more expensive than other ihops. Understandably why due to the proximity to disney. Food is decent, although the restaurant is disgusting. The carpet under our table was sticky from spilled syrup. The restaurant looked/smelled a little dingy. But for the lack of food options outside disney, this was decent.

I would give this place more starts because the waitress was nice and food was fast. It gets 3 stars just because it’s pricey. I know it’s by Disneyland but not the prices I was looking for when I was trying to save money eating outside the park. Prepare when normal price for a meal is $ 8 it’s going to be $ 13 – 15
