Robert is amazing! all the girls and the other gentleman helper. BUTTHEMANAGERMIKEIS a … I will call first before ever shopping in that store. he had an atitude regarding the price of stuff I was buying asking why it was priced at only 5.00 in front of me to a volunteer. Not professional at all. so because of his attitudeI asked0 for a discount got it with Unilocal it was less then what I had been told previously so I asked for the manager and he was a complete liar and I called him on it. In front of his volunteers. he should not make volunteers feel inferior. …

These types of places are hit-or-miss. It feels like a Goodwill with more construction types of materials. The furniture are mostly old and outdated. After 10 minutes, we walked out empty-handed.

Today I went to the Restore for a DYI shelf/clothes rod project. I was just about to leave with nothing before a manager Michael asked what I came in for. Before you know it he helped me gather all the things I needed to complete the project entirley. He suggested support plant brackets and scrap wood and it all fit together perfectly. I spent a total of $ 8, in comparison to the $ 40 I would have spent at any other home improvement store. Thank you, Mike for the great assistance and Restore for the great deals and customer service.

I look for Deals everywhere i go and I didn’t see any here. Some of the items you could purchase at any retailer for the same price or cheaper and most of the tools are less then home Owner grade. I mean cheap. So if your working on project I would buy my stuff here. There return policy is Store credit Only. And for a non-profit org. That gets there product via donation that’s not a fare deal when they charge so much.

I cruise through this restore once a week, always interesting. This weekend I brought my husband in for his first time to look at two 5 ft paintings in frames that look like they belong in a château. Well my husband found this cool concrete table with machine legs from the 1920’s. Then I found a huge brushed nickel capiz shell chandelier. Then guess what 2 matching vases to complement the paintings. What a haul, yes 2 trips. Through out the day store employee Robert was kind and generous with his time and strength especially loading those heavy bulky items. He’s also pretty knowledgable about installations of items and such. I also want to thank him personally for going to bat for me with my husband on that chandelier who couldn’t see the beauty of that thing until 36 hours later.

Update: the same door(6 panel hollow interior door) is $ 32 at Home Depot, I bought a pre hung so I wouldn’t have to cut or drill for $ 60. Glad I walked out.

This was my 1st time at this store and I LOVED it! Great place to start your search when doing remodeling and home improvement projects. They were selling an antique dresser and I have been looking for one for months that is solid wood and fairly priced. They had just listed it for sale so I immediately went down there to look at it. It was listed at $ 199. I think it was slightly high and should have been about $ 150/$ 175. HOWEVER, with that said, it was priced MUCH less than antique stores or craigslist sellers. Also, pricing for vintage items isn’t always about comparing it to other items(like how new items may be priced) but rather priced accordingly to what they THINK someone would pay for it. They had this on the floor for only 24 hours and sure enough a buyer bought it — ME so clearly it was priced correctly. To me it was worth pay a bit more than I would have liked and not take the risk of losing it to another buyer. While I was there, I saw a daybed that was priced at $ 69. GREAT price. I have been looking at daybeds in recent months and many are not only ugly but several hundred dollars. We decided against getting a daybed for our guest room but if we were going to this would have been such a score. They had a new white double oven for only $ 250!!! and a gorgeous patio set that someone already bought for $ 200 I think(looked like a $ 1500-$ 2000 set) so people who think this store is priced too high I think don’t understand the current market out there. If they want something cheaper then they should look at the free ads on Craigslist. These items seem to be in good condition so vetted for quality AND priced far under market value — you won’t find that at the goodwilll or on craigslist often. And the $$ is going for a GREAT cause. I will definitely be back and will also check out the Santa Ana location. I am very happy I found this place. We are slowly redoing our house and are a young married couple with a baby on the way and so have a VERY tight budget. Stores like this help US while our dollars go towards helping the community. WIN-WIN!!! :)

If you are like a kid in a candy store at big box hardware stores, you need to put ReStore first on your list. Chances are you will find stuff you didn’t even know you wanted, or needed, until you find it among the wide variety of home improvement items. Many very unusual things, and at a HUGE savings!

I liked it. Regardless what others say. But I’m a thrifter, so always looking for a bargain and I realize some days are hit or miss. I got a nice picture frame for 5.00 and a chair for 3.50… They had shutters for 5 and doors for 7.50. Plus it’s a good cause. Us, it is a little empty but the store is still great. Adding it to my list on thrifting days.

Dissapointing! I love the cause of Habitat for Humanity and I shop with them every time I can but I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again. I am not sure the ridiculously high prices are worth my time and effort. Ill continue to support my community and the environment by going to the Santa Ana Location.

I like the new location and it’s nice and clean. I would find things occasionally at the Garden Grove and Santa Ana locations. But I have noticed the prices creeping up higher and higher. There was a small marble topped chest for $ 699.00! There was some nice engineered flooring, but at $ 50 a box, not sure that’s a bargain, especially since all sales are final. Why would you pay almost full retail when they do not guarantee the items will work and all sales are final?
