Elizabeth Shutters

I have used Elizabeth Shutters for my window coverings in my last two homes and referred many of my friends to them, but never again! This last experience has not been a good one. The finish on the shutters is very poor. When they were first installed the company did stand behind their «lifetime» warranty and correct the slats that had a poor finish but as time has past and they continue to crack, the company states the finish has been damaged from «water» which is an exclusion to the warranty. Having had new windows installed the same year as the shutters this is not possible. The owner of the company has been very combative & I no longer can speak to him without becoming upset. I have tried writing to him but his responses are also very combative. I feel I have no other choice but to take this matter before the courts. These are not inexpensive window coverings and I think the shutters should have lasted a responsible period of time. Since I have had a problem with them from the start and they are less than 2 years old I feel the company should stand behind their warranty which they are refusing to do. I will never use them again.
