We eat here often for lunch. Always great food. Service is sometimes slow but never a problem. Just have to let them know if you are in a hurry.

First impressions failure. Tried the chicken fajitas and was disappointed. The chicken was over done & rubbery and the tortillas tasted old. Little flavor landed the entire plate in the trash. First & last time for this place.

Wow. I was really surprised. So my husband brought me here for Mother’s Day, we order our food and the lady who took our order replayed our order and we said yeah sounds good. So we waited about 10−15min and my children’s food came and they stared to eat, they finished their food and my husband and me where still waiting for our food it was 45min already. So one of the lady that works there comes and says how we r doing. I told her that my husband and my food wasn’t here yet, so she goes and checks, to my surprise and my husband the lady never put our order inn. That was enough for me to pick our check and get the hell out of there. In total we waited 1hr for them to tell us that our food was never there. And the lady never apologize or gave a F@ck about what happened. She send some one else to tell us that our food wasn’t ready. NEVER going back.

Just waited 40 minutes for my lunch and walked out with nothing. It’s Way too many tables for one room, and they clearly cannot accommodate the amount of people that they have seating for.

I was hosting a small party and was looking for catering. My husband and I eat at El Farolito Jr often so we thought we would check out what they had to offer.
I am so glad I did, everyone was talking about it the next day still! We did a taco bar, it was 4 meats, chips, salsas, and the works with a server for 2 hours. The taco meat was not prepared on site but was prepared just before the event and tasted very fresh!
If you are considering having them cater for you, don’t second guess it BOOK IT!
Jesse was easy to work with on booking, and our server Eric was very friendly and everything went smooth for the night.

I (heart) El Farolito.
El Farolito in Placentia is considered one of the best Mexican restaurants in the OC, serving deliciousness for decades now! It’s one of those restaurants that I am more surprised if you have NOT gone there yet, it’s that good, and worth a visit from anywhere in the OC.
It was refreshing to see the area now has an «El Farolito Jr» that brings the same amazing food!
Stopping in for lunch I ordered a chicken burrito – the first thing I love is they use white meat chix that was lightly seasoned and very moist (tasted like it was boiled in some yumminess). I got the burrito with veggies, no cheese, so it was relatively cheap. Oh and they make brontosaurus-​sized burritos, so for $ 5 – 6 you get two meals. My co-​worker devoured the carne asada burrito; it was her first time eating El Farolito and just loved it.
I am looking forward to getting back there very soon, and will review other items! Yay!

This is my FAVORITE Mexican food spot! 2day I had the green sauce chilaquiles, no rice, beans only, eggs over easy. 1 word: YUMMY! Service always on point, n pricing is totally decent. Let’s not 4get, their chips n salsa r bomb, too!

This is our favorite morning after a drinkin night spot. The carnitas, bomb! The tacos, bomb! Fresh chips n salsa, bomb! Chilaquiles, bomb! Super nachos, bomb! Very good food at very good prices!

Discovered this place by my job. Place is amazing! Love the tacos here. Great pricing on everything is made to order. The chilaquiles are also very worth while. Don’t sleep on this place. The service is great also, super friendly workers always go the extra mile to get what you want.

Food is ehhh… Second time someone brings me here… first time was LATE night at there was a group of dudes getting drunk AF with a mariachi which is cool and all but I was with my lady, and drunks tend to be disrespectful (I don’t take kindly to disrespect, which gets me into punchy situations) and I didn’t wanna put her in that predicament, so we hurried finished our meal and left.
Second time here, was earlier (still night) & had more of a family feel. Food was ok. Tacos are ordered at the cashier then you take the ticket to the taco stand (right behind), where they serve you. Other food they’ll take to your table. This time we ordered asada burrito, along with, asada, buche, and pastor tacos.
The burrito had refried beans, pico de gallo, and the meat. They’re generous on the beans, which makes it seem like they skimped on meat. On the plus the beans are good, fresh and homemade tasting.
The tacos were also ok, meat was decent tasting and they come packed. The additives are at a salsa bar (the green one has a delayed effect and is hot!) Typical flavors you’d expect from the asada and pastor. Kinda disappointed with the buche, it was a lot softer than I expected. Overcooked I guess.
The cashier was cool. Polite. The one fake server kinda had a crappy attitude. That’s why I left a crappy tip… Tuff titty said the kitty.

Authentic mexican, friendly server. Nothing special, just good, real mexican food. Carne Asada burrito was pack full. Definitely left there full and happy.

I love coming here for nachos and good authentic Mexican food also weekend night they sell tacos and I got to say they are the best tacos I’ve had they have many options of meats steak (asada) carnitas (pork) and alpastor (season pork) chicken everyone is super nice and your food is always cook fresh I surely recommend it and I will for sure be back soon!!!

Went over to this restaurant on the weekend. it was pretty good i had the chilaquiles to go, only complaints i have would be the to go boxes are not good at all, its just a plate covered with foil, so all the fluids spilled out and it was just a mess period and they didn’t add queso or cream on top. The hours listed here on Unilocal say they close at 12 but they close the kitchen at 11 therefor you cant order any food at 11 even though they close at 12. customer service was great!

I’m such a huge fan of Mexican food. But I have to give this place a C for their tacos + California burrito. Never have I had a burrito oozing with oil in every bite.
Their chips on the other hand are delicious, and I appreciate their salsa bar.
But I probably won’t be back…

As always El Farolito (Jr) never seems to disappoint.
I was just surprised at the lack of people that arrived to eat during our time there. It was just us for the longest time and finally one other family arrived. I was worried.
Anyway, the food was delicious, the service was good, and we were offered two baskets of chips!
We’ll definitely be back!

Came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. What a mess!!!
I was with my girl friend and I had been told by co workers that they had good food
so we came in all pumped up and ready to enjoy.
We were seated and placed our orders. Nothing special just a carne asada burrito and enchilada plate. The waiter came to our table 45 minutes after ordering and told us our food would appear soon. Waited 30 minutes more and nothing showed up so we packed up and left! On our way out I stopped at the counter to asked how long does it take to make a burrito?
None of the waiters cared about service. It is by far the worst experiance ever in over 50 years of dining out all over the world!

Really enjoyed the tacos at this restaurant. They have a taquero preparing your tacos when you order and a salsa bar to prepare your tacos however you want to.
They have lots of seating throughout the restaurant so it was easy to find a place for my group.
I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.
