I had the posole verde, it wasn’t that good pictures can be deceiving. It was barely warm, Defenitelly not today’s batch. Trust me I know my Posole! However my BF had the chorizo quesadilla and chicharon they were delicious. Customer service was not the greatest and place was dirty.

This place is definitely a hidden gem… I grew up tasting the best homemade Mexican food because of my mom and also because growing up we had«fiestas» where all the hispanic ladies shared their best dishes. So, most of the time I am not really impressed with Mexican hole in the wall greasy joints. However, this place is definitely authentic and without a question took me back to those homemade Mexican dishes my mom used to make on special occasions! My mom is actually the one that kept telling me to come here and it honestly didn’t disappoint. The place might be a bit of a turnoff for some people because the restaurant is half restaurant half mini-market(pretty weird) but if you are able to get past that and order a dish, you will know what Im talking about. I ordered tacos al pastor with homemade tortillas and a sope de asada(made with fresh masa). The meat is delicious and they have arguably one of the best red/green salsa’s I’ve ever tasted. I didn’t get to try their«aguas frescas» because I rather use my calories on tacos but they do have them. The staff was so nice and friendly. Honestly, if you want to know what real authentic Mexican food taste like, this restaurant is as good as it gets! My stomach usually tends to gurgle and sometimes even cramp from all the cheap grease many of these places use but that wasn’t the case here, from the very first bite I knew this food was mostly fresh. This restaurant exceeded my expectations by far!.. If you decide to try it, enjoy. Y PROVECHOAMIGOS!

This is the real deal. You will not find Mexican food like this anywhere and it’s amazing! I’ve been impressed with every single dish but I have to say the carnitas tacos are to die for!

I love coming here to eat, because of me my co-workers now love eating here. Management is very nice. I get the Carne Asada burrito and I have tried their Al Pastor and they were both incredible. I love coming here, I go there on my lunch break. Will be coming back for sure.

Cemitas are good! You have to wait a lot! They take their time! The problem is that the workers are really slow, probably they don’t even know what they’re selling, and the lady(probably the owner) has reallyyyy bad attitude… probably won’t come back.

My Coworkers love this place.. I’ve never had the food but I did stop by to get a Mangoniada… I was so disappointed on it… It wasn’t made well at all. :’(and that was weird because my coworker had gotten me one before and it was amazing! I really wished they cared more on the cleanness of the place… especially on the market side and meat side of the place. its pretty bad… I left grossed out. Im sure the food is great like the rest of the reviews say… but they really need to be cleaner.

Very authentic Mexican food & good prices. My daughter got tacos de asada & I got a quesadilla estilo Coyoacan con papas. It came with crema & lettuce inside. I would highly recommend getting it– without lettuce. The only negative thing I have to say is if you’re starving, it’s going to take a little while to come out, but it’s extremely fresh. The salsa was flavorful but lacked that kick. We like spicy salsa! Definitely returning though.

I grew up in Santa Ana so I know what’s up with the good authentic Mexican food. And after moving to the area I am glad I live right by this place. They are delivering some killer food out of a little hole in the wall market. Came in here on a Sunday evening to grab some food to go. I was told by a couple people that were eating to get the Torta De Cubana. I also decided to go full fat kid and grab a couple Al Pastor tacos and sopes. I should of listened to Unilocal and just stuck with the torta. Holy crap this thing is huge. Seriously my wife and I could barely finish the dang thing. Be warned its size. The sopes are killer and are not your normal size sopes, they are also pretty large in size. Overall I can’t wait to keep trying more stuff from here. I need to work on my Spanish so I can get in good with the girls here. My bill with all that food was only $ 17.00. That is not bad at all. Now it is a market so they sell all kinds of stuff here if you are cooking some Mexican at home. They also have beer but you cant have one if you are dining in. CHEERS!!!

I’ll be honest I have hesitated leaving a review simply because it’s my favorite menudo spot and I would hate this place to get too full when I want my menudo. She even gets people that bring in their own pots to have them filled with menudo.(All sizes) Alambre is awesome but it should be shared heavy on the meats. Service is average. You wouldn’t know the owner from the waitress. Very humble. Prices are fair. Fresh bolios. Don’t get there too late on the weekends, she does run out.

Most authentic and best deal!!! I’ve had simple tortas which have been good and some that have been really complex and not good at other places. But dollar for dollar, pound for pound, the tortas and semitas here are the best we’ve had! They’re food is so authentic that they even import some of their ingredients from Mexico. They even use pipian which is an herb used in food in small towns of Mexico. If you’re looking for a huge cuban torta, they have it, and if all you want is a small simple torta, they have that as well. The staff is super friendly and very humble. You can tell they enjoy what they’re doing and it shows in their food. The front parking lot is small but there is more parking in the back. Definitely recommend it!

Got a Medium Horchata and the Torta Cubana… Words do not adaquately convey how big that Torta was… its $ 9 and I honestly think it could feed a family of 4… it was good. Basically is a bumch of diff meats: slived hot dogs, chorizo, ham, milanesa… etc…def will come back. .ladies are nice… has a cool hole in the wall vibe…

The Torta Cubana is HUGE and very tasty. Has practically every kind of meat in it. It’s inside of a small Mexican market.

Awesome place, this is authentic Mexican and South America food. I’ve talked to the owner and they have learned their recipes from their grand patent back in Mexico. It doesn’t get any more authentic and it takes me back to my childhood when I use to ask my grandmother to cook me something. Highly recommended. Very down to earth and friendly.

Saw this place on Unilocal, and decided to give it a try. Lot of items on menu, most of names were unfamiliar to me. It really helped that they have lots of pictures everywhere, even on the street sign! My wife and I shared a torta, a cemita, and a horchata. And right after we ate, we ordered another torta and a pambazo to go for the kids. Loved everything we had. Will definitely be back to this hole in the wall!

This place is the bomb. My son told me about this place, went and tried a carnitas burrito… delicious. Went back again, this time I tried something new… Cesina enchilada tacos, never had them, now can’t get enough of them. Whatever you order, it will be DELICIOUS!!!

Real Mexican food! Biggest Torta sandwiches in town. Those are the best. It’s a little different than a restaurant, more like a small bistro inside a market. But this little hole in the wall place is legit! 5 stars!

Okay. The food is good. I didn’t order any of the pre-made stuff. I actually had some tacos and a DF quesadilla. While the wait was longer than I would have expected. Everything was made fresh, even the carne asada was grilled fresh. Bomb… Price is a little stiff but it’s an unassuming spot with good food.

I was hungry for a torta a few weeks ago and thought why not use that Unilocal Deal I bought a while ago for El Camino Real Market they make a good torta cubana. My Unilocal deal was not honored by the market and I was accused by a man(owner?) who worked there of trying to rip him off. He grabbed the Unilocal Deal I had printed and darted into a corner office saying that he wanted to copy it for the Police. He even threatened me with police action. I told him to feel free and call them as I had done nothing wrong. This guy was an major A**hole! It took everything I could muster to not go off on that jerk. I flipped him the bird as I walked out never to return. I contacted Unilocal the next day via email explaining my encounter and got a return email a couple of days later saying I would receive a refund. What went wrong? Aren’t all Unilocal Deals Legit? How did this become such screwup? I like the food here but after the RUDE encounter I received I will never return.

I went to this location looking for Taqueria La Poblanita on a craving for pambazos — G Arellano put them on blast for these style of tortas that are not even the main attraction — however, there was no sign what so ever that this was the place just the right address. I came in and the restuarant is half market and half taqueria. The person at front confirmed that this was indeed la taqueria. Read the menu and changed my mind and got a huarache de carne asada and fresh melon water. The meat was very tasty and very thin, you can tell they marinate with it good seasonings. Even the agua de melon tasted great; refresing on the first day of spring. After going there, I looked up the reviews for this place and my experience was 180 from theirs. My huarache had beans but they tasted good & not overly greasy or old. I found the place pretty clean and there were like 4 or so tables busy too. This stablishment does not have a dedicated customer restroom so you have to go to the back by the kitchen to use their faucet if you want to wash your hands. Its above ‘a hole in the wall’ type of place but it could use some improvements. I’ll go back for that pambazo soon.
