My boyfriend just brought a house, but everything in it is old. Our friend recommended this place, said they have good product and service. We compare the product and price here and Home Depot, We took some samples home and really cannot tell any difference. But they are a lot cheaper! We are very happy with the final result!

We concur with the first review regarding this company. Although their website looks impressive, it hides the reality that customer service is non-existent. The workers that came out to install were surly and unresponsive to even minimal prepping of the flooring for the laminate they were to install. When the installation was finished, we discovered areas that should and could easily have been filled in with fast set or even a little extra padding to level some areas next to some walls. The flooring looked great however when you walked around, there were areas that sunk down when your weight was on those spots. We were told by the office the installers would level the floor if it was minor, which all of this was but these guys didn’t do a ‘damn’ thing even when we asked about it. Too bad, we have several apartments where we are changing over from carpet to laminate flooring… and we’re looking for another company to do the work…

If you are looking for C– grade installation quality and F grade customer service, this might be the flooring company to come to. I had a bathroom vanity with undermount sink installed as well as floating laminate flooring. The sale of the flooring was fast and easy and customer service was fine at this point. The day of the installation, the flooring and cabinet/granite guys came out(4 in total) to install. Quality of the material was fine. Flooring installation: 1) Flooring guys did not want to remove staples/nails or other objects in the subfloor before laying down foam. I asked them to do this but they gave me attitude about and would not do it, so I ended up having to do it myself. 2) There were some low spots in the floor that I do not expect the installers to fix because it was not in the contract; however, they could have at least brought it to my attention so I could either fix it myself or called the office to arrange them to do it onsite and paid more. Instead they chose to lay the floor and now I have a 3/8″ deflection gap at the baseboard when you walk on it. This could have easily been remedied by adding in some thin wood or even additional pieces of foam underlayment(10 minutes maximum). Baseboard installation: 3) I asked they guy installing the baseboard as well as the office manager(Fae) to use lap joints instead of butt joints when I called. Fae said she would call the installers to do so. This never happened and when I asked the installer to do it, he said if I wanted to do it like that to «do it myself». 4) I know that walls are never 90 degrees or square, but the baseboard installer could have at least tried to get gaps in miter cuts. 1/8″ gaps are rather large to fill with caulking. Again, when asked if he could recut some pieces, his response was«do it yourself». Granite Installer: 5) Only the granite installer did a good job and was courteous. Although he used painters caulking on the sink instead of 100% silicone for sinks/showers/etc. General Customer Service Experience with installers: The flooring guys do not like you to do anything other than«their way». They will raise their voice to the point of yelling at you in a demeaning tone. If you ask them to do something differently, they will say to «do it yourself». When I was looking at the baseboard install with my back to the installer, I turned around to see him raising the nail gun to my back. The compressor line was detached from the gun, and I was standing in the corner by myself, so the intention was clear. 6÷2÷14 — I have called the Office Manager Fae to fix the portion of the flooring that is deflecting 6÷4÷14 — No response from Fae. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDUSINGTHISCOMPANY.

ChaseWood and Cabinets Inc. was hired by our contractor who worked on restoring our kitchen. Although it was the contractor who hired them, I have decided to post a review about these folks because of our dealings with the owner. I feel that the potential buyers must know what type of person she is and the type of work you can expect from this business. They installed a granite kitchen countertop of our kitchen(they were subcontracted by our general contractor – another horror story I will post on his business). We picked out a granite top from ChaseWood, and their installers installed it. To summarize here are the things that went wrong: 1. There was a half inch tall and about 14 inches wide yellow putty right in front, below the faucet at the joint of the countertop and the under-mount sink. It was obvious to us that the corner of the granite must have chipped and they covered it with the putty. So when we walk up to the kitchen sink, first thing we notice is this yellow putty right below the kitchen faucet. When we told our contractor about this he insisted that the owner must see it to do anything about it(which is one of the things I will post regarding this contractor). When the owner saw it she said that this is a common practice, and that it is not a putty to cover up the broken corner of the granite but a compound used to seal the counter top and the sink – what? Then we asked why we don’t see this«sealing compound» all the way around the sink, we just got a blank stare from her. Besides, we just couldn’t believe her explanation – a compound to seal the granite and the under-mount sink that shows up just one part of the sink? 2. At the inetrsection where the sink part of the counter top and the other side of the countertop joins, the seam was not only visible, but the granite patterns were completely perpendicular to each other. I mean the break up of the patterns can be seen 5~6 feet away. When asked about that she implied that for the cost of this job, this is what we would expect – what? She continued that if we wanted our granite countertop to look better, we should be expected to pay more. When we pointed out that we didn’t even know how much the job was worth since our contractor got paid for the whole remodeling project, our contractor chimed in and basically said that if this was a property of $ 750K to $ 1 mil, we would see seamless and flowing patterns – he actually said that. So since our house in worth ‘only’ $ 600K we shouldn’t expect better workmanship? – wow! 3. The countertop is not properly sealed(we did a seal tests that we found from internet), and the bull-nosed edges are completely dull. One can clearly see the difference in shine at the top flat surfaces against the rounded edges. The answer from both of these folks – the same, if we expected all that, we should have paid more – they really said that. The owner never owned up to these issues, and had an attitude that when one purchases a «soft granite type» one should expect these types, and one should expect this type of work unless you pay the top dollar for the job. We eventually negotiated with our general contractor to give up a discount(so that we can use the money to at least help with the cost of the material when replace this countertop eventually). I am glad that we will never have to deal with ChaseWood and its owner again. I just thought that the consumers should be aware of all these before making a decision to do business with these folks.
