This place is great! Lots of bike parts and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I came in looking for a rare chainring spacer and they had one. With this last part I can finally put together an old Trek 520 touring bike.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and the owner has always been helpful. This is an excellent place for parts. I’ve tried going looking into other bike shops but I always end up being a return customer at big wheel.

I came in asking for a front wheel axle. The owner was great. He keeps spare parts lying around for pretty much any replacement/​repair. He was friendly and informative and gave me a great deal on the front axle and a full set-​up. I was in and out of the shop in an hour with my bike all set up.
I’ll definitely be back the next time I need something.

Horrible service. Asked the guy for a tube for my tire then had me second guess myself in buying the wrong size. Totally gave my attitude about it. Then showed up with my tube saying it must be a rare tube to find. Stoked I got my money back. Go to Papa Wheelies in Garden Grove. They treat you much better than this place! This place doesn’t deserve to be in business!!!#

I can’t begin to start what a horrible experience I had this shop.
I felt personally threatened by the man who claimed to be the owner who stuck his greasy finger nearly in my face and said if you don’t like it you can get out (without my bike)
Quoted one price and wanted more after he did work without asking me.
I don’t have time for small claim court so I paid, this is the best I can do by posting on Unilocal.
Stay away from this place.

This is my favorite place for my brakes, they do a very good job and that makes riding my bike better. prices arent high, thats another good thing.

I’ve been cycling for around 40 years and I have been to a lot of bike shops. Big Wheel in Anaheim is a favorite shop of mine because they have a certain level of customer service that is very rare. For example, on more than one occasion, Peter offered to stay past closing time in order to meet my hectic schedule so I could pick up my bike that was in for repair. He has also turned every repair job that I brought there around the same day, with prices always lower than I anticipated. I’ve had many wheel sets built by this shop. The wheels stay in true and have no issues. I’ve been coming here for years and the customer service and quality of work is always consistent. He maintains a stock of difficult to find components, many of which he has installed on my older bikes. I am completely satisfied with this shop and I am bewildered by the negative comments. I have never had a negative experience with this shop. It is out of character for Peter or the master mechanic to act in an unethical or unprofessional manner. They know their trade and deserve respect. I highly recommend this shop for any cycling need.

SCAMMER SHOP! BEWARE of the fat rude f$&# that trys to make you look stupid and rip you off saying you need to replace entire parts while you drop in for maintenance. RUDE AS F to start with. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Great bike shop. Reasonably priced & friendly. Only place I go to when I need bike parts/​fixed.

Today was the last day that I will ever come to this store. The owner is never helpful. Seems lazy. He customer service skills are horrible not to mention his communication skills are lagging big time. He belongs in the back working on bikes. And god forbid that you ask him a question. Plain and simple, he’s a mook.

These guys are great! After being shunned by a LBS, I wandered into Big Wheel Bicycle where I was treated with dignity & respect. They were very helpful and never made me feel bad for answering my (stupid) questions. Unlike the crew at Orange Cycle, these guys are the real deal.

The two people who I spoke with were very rude and defensive. I brought 2 bikes and told them that something was wrong about my tires. They immediately told me whats wrong without even checking the bikes itself. I politely asked them if they can check it because I want them to be sure and for my peace of mind. One of the guys started getting defensive and gave me a reason that he is sure because he had been fixing and selling bikes for years. He could’ve been right but I feel that he should’ve still checked it since I asked him to and the bike was already in front of him. It would have only taken him a minute or two to inspect the 2 bikes. It seems like he was just lazy.
I decided to take it to a different bike shop. The guy looked at my bikes and was really polite. It turns out that the clowns at Big Wheel Bicycles were only partially right. I ended up saving money because he did not have to repair another tire.

We had decided to dust off the bikes and take them in for some much needed repair, they had been in the yard for a few years and seriously needed some TLC.
I walked in at about 1:00 in the afternoon, with 2 bikes that were in desperate need of tires, tubes, tune ups, and major cleaning. the guy told me what they needed and the cost for labor, he was very up front about the costs, which I liked. The estimate was a little more than I expected but still less than the cost of 2 new bikes
I figured for what they needed and since both bikes were pretty old, we had an old Schwinn and a Niskiki. I was not hopeful that they had everything our bikes needed in stock, but to my surprise, they were able to have the bikes ready same day. They were ready by 5:30 that evening, now thats service.
When we picked up the bikes, the guy, sorry I didnt get his name, took the time to explain what they had done to our bikes. I really like when the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
I love that now I am able to ride my bike this summer… Thanks Big Wheel Bicycles.

I took my bike in to have the chain and pedals removed, and they took care of it quickly. Affordable service too.

I live about 5 minutes from this place and I love it! It’s family owned and the son, Peter is the coolest guy ever. He helped me customize my fixed gear bike that I bought off craigslist. I didn’t know much about repairing bikes at the time but he showed me what tools I needed and how to adjust things. I moved to San Francisco recently but still call him to ask his advice on bike issues. I hope I can bring my new project down to his shop when I come home for the holidays so he can help me out. The bike shops in San Francisco can be a bit intimidating.
