Best Western Plus Stovall’S Inn

So we are locals who just happen to both be cast members but wanted a little staycation but without the high prices of the Disney hotels. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The room was very clean, we requested a view of the parks and got one, and everything went perfectly. We were able to lay in bed and watch fireworks, I mean how amazing is that?! We were so sad to leave but will definitely come back for our future staycations :)
Pros:
— Great location with a great view of CA adventure and fireworks at night
— Very friendly staff
— Clean rooms
— Worked with our room requests and checked us in 3 hours early
— Overall good feel to the place
Cons:
— The AC unit air didnt reach the whole room and was just trapped in one little corner making the room scorching hot and made us sleep with nothing on the bed.
— $ 100 deposit because we are locals (I dont understand this and never will)
— $ 10 parking for everyday youre there

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Told us when we booked we could keep the car with them then completely changed their «policy» upon arrival. The manager was inconsiderate, inhospitable and hopeless. Wouldn’t even remove the parking fee for the huge inconvenience they caused. As a hospitality professional, this was just ludicrous.

Everything was fine with our hotel stay, but the breakfast buffet could use some attention. They ran out of regular sized plates, we had to eat off small dessert plates. The garbages were constantly overflowing, the utensils were placed in a spot that was really hard to get to. The milk machine wasn’t working so if you wanted milk for cereal you had to chase down a staff person, and out of the beverage options there was no water. Just seems like that department could be managed better.

Great value and very close walk to Disneyland.
The staff are great ! We had to have someone come up to help us from maintenance. Our fault completely. We offered him a gratuity and he didn’t accept it. Was so friendly and said it was part of his job and happy to help. We insisted and he wouldn’t take it.
They keep the breakfast area very clean. Over four days I saw how hard working that morning group was, dealing with people that let their kids throw food all over the floors. And so demanding. They swept, cleared tables and tried to keep things filled up as fast as possible. Answered politely to customers. More meal variety than many in that room rate price range. I was very pleased.
I enjoyed my meals outside at the cute little wrought iron tables.
The air conditioner is noisy and rooms are a bit worn. I felt, for the money I got great value.
I would stay here again absolutely.

A great option for staying close to Disneyland. It is only a 10 – 15 min walk to Downtown Disney & the parks. The hotel is nothing fancy, but our room was clean & comfortable & the staff are very friendly & helpful. The free breakfast is great with a lot of options, but it can get a little crazy at busy times. The restaurants next door are handy for dinner. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again as the prices are very good for a hotel in easy walking distance of the parks

I am have stayed here a bunch of times but this time was very upsetting. We were going Disneyland and knowing we were in walking distant and wouldn’t have to ride a tram or shuttle with the strollers was a definitely a plus. I confirmed I could park there until we left the park the next day (we only stayed at the hotel the night before Disneyland) The man on the line told me yes no problem… When I got their they changed their mind and it was $ 10 an hour after 3pm. I have stayed in the parking lot plenty of times after my stay! I do not know if I will stay there again due to this!!!
The rooms are nice and clean no complaint there. Breakfast is good.

Will continue review after departure– so disappointed and tired– want to give fair critique after only the one bad evening…
Ok, so here’s the update:
Asked to be in quiet location… we were put at top of stairwell. Once we lugged our things up the stairs to find room was not going to be quiet, I made the long treck back to front desk in effort to see about another room. Mind you I was nice and clear about why we were requesting this change. After some back and forth and an explanation about how they are unaware of where the stairs are located (what?!) I was sent to another location…
This went on for a few more times… sending me all over the property with each room being in a worse location. Across busy street– next to door which everyone goes through for breakfast… And I couldn’t help but feel I was being purposely run around. All the while each person telling me they had NO idea where the stairs were in relation to rooms. I just find that tough to believe :/​
We did appreciate the breakfast option at this location but we will not likely stay again :(Gave
it a try as our usual spot was booked.

I have to say this Best Western came through for my trip. I have stayed here in the passed and was not a fan but they have up their game. First, at the very last minute, I found they had reservations available. I called them to find the customer service staff very pleasant. They worked with my needs and found me a room. Once arrived, I noticed things were very different from my last stay. They have a wonderful and beautiful front office. The staffing at the front desk was always extremely nice. They quickly got me a room and I got settled in. The rooms were very nice. This was a very busy weekend and I could not hear all the hustle and bustle going on outside. I will say you can hear the fireworks from Disneyland, so if that bothers you… be aware. There are perks to this, you do get a great view, for free, of the wonderful fireworks. This hotel is in great location to everything. Anaheim Convention Center easy 5 to 10 minute walk. Downtown Disney is the same. Although I did not use the pool and hot tub. I did walk over and the facilities are very nice. The continental breakfast is wonderful. Large selection to choose from. Back to the rooms… I posted a picture with the beds not even made because we never wanted to get out. They are wonderful. Extremely comfortable. Loved it. The bathrooms are very nice. The water pressure is great and with an adjustable shower head, everyones needs are met.
So if debating about staying at this hotel. Don’t. It is very nice and a great price. Convenient. Overall I give it an «A»

I had a really great stay here. Checked in on Saturday and checked out today. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. There is continental breakfast from 6am-​10am. They had fruit, cereal, sausage, eggs, potatoes, French toast, and an assortment of pastries. Sometimes it’s best to go early to beat the crowd.
Our room was very clean after we checked in. You can see the back of California adventure from our room.
The hotel is walking distance but if you’re not up for walking, there is a shuttle that can take you to the parks and back to this hotel for $ 5 (that’s the price for the whole day).
This is a family budget hotel. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save money and be of distance to the parks.

I came here on a trip to Disneyland. Me and my girlfriend stayed here and we had a military rate for the room because I had booked it through the MWR on base. The lady at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming and walked me through the whole layout and details of this hotel. It was pretty well kept, the dining area was a bit of a mess around 1030 am, but I guess that’s what you can expect after everyones had their breakfast here. The room was super nice and seemed like it had been renovated recently. The room had a mini-​fridge, a microwave, ice machine wasn’t too far away, there was a pool that closed at 10 and they had a shuttle service to Disneyland that you could buy for $ 5 a person. (rates may change). If youre going to Disneyland and looking for a nice but affordable place to stay at, I’d definitely recommend this best western. Oh and theres a free HOT breakfast in the morning, so you can save some mula $$ instead of paying crazy prices for food at the park. I think it was $ 10 for parking here as well. Still a good deal though.

We stayed at Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn from Sunday 112÷22÷2015 through Thursday 11/​26/​2015.
The front desk staff provided excellent customer service from check in to check out. It was a 4 ½ hour drive for us from Las Vegas to Anaheim and we were delighted that our room was ready when we arrived about noon. Our room exceeded our expectations — clean room, comfy bed, in room microwave and mini fridge, and good water pressure in the shower. Parking is $ 10 per day but you get in and out privileges.
The walk to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is about a 10 minute walk, 15 minutes tops. The hotel is close enough that you can go to the theme parks in the morning, go back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, and then go back to the park for evening events like Paint The Night or Fantasmic.
Coco’s Restaurant is located next to Stovall’s Inn if you want to grab a bite to eat or want something more than the hotel’s continental breakfast. The prices are pretty reasonable too! The pies are yummyliscious, to say the least.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever have the opportunity to go back to Disneyland. The front desk staff alone makes it worthwhile to stay here! And if you want to eat somewhere else besides Coco’s, the staff is an encyclopedia of knowledge. Liz, the front desk supervisor, suggested a Thai restaurant on Harbor Blvd. and the food was so good that we returned there the next day.

Every time I come to Disneyland, I only stay at stovalls. I’ve stayed at other good neighborhood hotels, but they always disappoint compared to stovalls. Granted, they have a military discounted price which I am able to take advantage of, but it is still a great hotel nonetheless.
Complimentary breakfast is a must when you visit the Disney parks. Meals can get quite pricy inside Disneyland and DCA, so stovalls help you save money on that end. It’s a short walk to the entrance of downtown Disney through the grand Californian hotel, which helps you save money on parking/​bus fees too.
Check in times can sometimes be waived when it’s not peak season, however they are quite strict on it during the summer/​two weeks before Christmas. The staff is friendly and always makes sure you have everything you need (even at 3am)
Never will I ever stay at another hotel near Disneyland because of stovalls! They are the hotel that gives you your money’s worth of a stay!

This place definitely has a 70’s motel type vibe. Thankfully I wasn’t paying for the room, or else I probably would have left.
The walls inside the rooms are shit brown, making it difficult to see at times. The beds weren’t too bad, but they would’ve been small for couples.
The bathroom was average, with the vanity and air conditioner being situated adjacent to the commode. Yes, it’s one of those in-​window air systems, so it’s loud and annoying.
Parking is an extra $ 15 a day. The lot is fairly small, and a ticket is required for entry each time. If you lose it, you pay $ 50. Good luck finding a parking spot.
You can walk to Disneyland from the hotel, and it’s about 15 – 20 minutes. If you can’t handle that, you might as well stay at the DLR. Otherwise, enjoy the walk to the park, it’s good exercise afterall!
They offer a free Continental breakfast, which is reminiscent of McDonald’s. Greasy, shitty food that’s probably best for the hungover or financially strapped.
If you don’t like kids or loud environments, stay a little further from DLR. The major hotel chains (Hilton, Marriott) have great deals if you don’t mind staying closer to I-​5, just book in advance. The guests are typically classier as well.

First let me say Liz was totally helpful. We got in early and checked in. I had a bunch of gift card which took a long time to log in as they had to be entered manually. Our room would not be ready until 3 and it was 9 am. She offered us breakfast a place to stash our bags and a pool key. The same thing on the way out.
The room was fine and for the price better than expected so close to the parks or convention center. The place is all booked up during my next trip during NAMM or I would book my whole company there. So close to both places. Free breakfast too. Great room coffee. Less than a third of a Disney room.

We stayed at Best Western Stovall’s for 4 nights in early October 2015. Our room was VERY clean! Bathroom had lots of counter space for all of one’s toiletries. Room also came with a small fridge & microwave, which was very handy. Mounted on the wall next to the sink was a hair dryer… the hair dryer wall-​mount unit also had a built in night light, which was really nice since our kids still sleep with a night light at home. It also helped in the wee hours of the night if you had to go to the bathroom and you wouldn’t stub your toe on something stumbling around in the dark.
Parking was $ 10/​night and you can park your car there until 3pm on your day of departure. There was plenty of places to park.
This hotel has 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. All of them were operational and were very clean. Heated towels are available pool-​side. One of the pools has some very nice shade structures around it, so it’s nice to have some shade on a hot day.
The room rate also comes with free breakfast. This breakfast includes:
pancakes
eggs
bacon or sausage (it alternated each day)
coffee, tea, apple juice & orange juice
small muffins & bagels
apples & bananas
cereal
bread & a toaster to toast it
yogurt
We took full advantage of the free breakfast each morning. It was a very nice time saver and it saved us money overall.
The hotel staff were very pleasant & helpful. My husband forgot his toothbrush at home and they gave him a brand new one for free.
The walk to Disneyland took about 8 – 10 minutes based on how fast or slow you walked (we would cut through the Grand Californian Hotel on our route). Beds were very comfortable. Closet had 2 extra pillows if you needed them. We asked for and received a 2^nd floor room. Room includes free Wifi and they give you the passcode when you check in. I would totally stay here again.

I really like this place. We stayed several nights as we went to Disneyland. The location is great.
The beds were comfortable.
The TV remote worked.
The air conditioner worked well.
The free breakfast is a huge plus.
Our only issue was that the maid service is lacking. The bathroom chrome on the sink had debris on it from the prior tenant brushing their teeth. Also the bathroom ledge in the shower had wet soap scum on it from the prior people. The carpet needed to be vacuumed.
The next day the maid did not clean out the ice bucket that we had used and had not brought a new liner for it. Again the bathroom was not cleaned and the carpet was not vacuumed. We had to go down to the front desk for replacement soap, shampoo etc…
But all in all it was nice to stay at this location. The price was right and really the free breakfast before you hit the park was great.

Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights.
Clean rooms and bed is very comfy.
Room service past midnight is not good though, It’s like there’s no room services available at night for pillows or sheets. On the other hand they are very accommodating and friendly. Would come back here.

It only takes one stay at a hotel to make or break your decision if you will come back. In this situation, I would come back. I spent some time looking at different hotels in the Anaheim area, as we were planning on visiting Disneyland for three days. I had room 439. This had a king sized bed, mini fridge, microwave, and was a short distance from the pool. This hotel had the best value, location, and ammenities that would help me relax on vacation without making my wallet hate me.
Positives:
+ Two pools, two hot tubs, one wading pool for the kiddies
+ I like privacy, and this pool has a wall barrier blocking it from the main road (I say this because I passed other hotel pools and you can see the people swimming in there).
+ Beautiful landscaped area next to the pool
+ Fitness area! I didn’t use it, but some I saw some people exercising from time to time. The machines look new to me and they provide towels as well.
+ They serve a continental breakfast. I wouldn’t call it free because it is probably included with the amount you pay for your room. Regardless, it was a pretty good breakfast before heading down to Disneyland
+ The walk is 10 – 15 minutes to the parks. We walked through one of the hotel’s lobby for quicker access.
+ Black-​out curtains — Perfect if you want to sleep in for a little bit without the sun blinding you in the morning.
+ Regular TV channels and HBO channels as well. I have never stayed at a hotel where they didn’t make you pay for movies.
The only thing that put a slight damper on our stay was the parking situation. All the parking stalls were taken so we just parked on the side of the pool. It isn’t a marked stall, but other people were doing it the nights prior. It really wasn’t a big deal because we were able to be close to our room. It would have been a big deal if they made us move, but they didn’t (yay).

My girlfriend and I have stayed at several hotels in the area while visiting Disneyland and I believe this is where we will be staying in the future. Other hotels we’ve stayed at: Anaheim Marriott, Hilton Anaheim, Grand Californian Resort, Disneyland Hotel. Our favorites were clearly the Disneyland hotels, but those aren’t affordable every visit. This hotel has been the best value so far.
Hotel Grounds/​Location
It’s a pretty short walk to parks from this hotel, which was preferable to taking a shuttle at other hotels. The outside of the hotel is basic but decent. Parking is $ 10/​night which is cheaper than most hotels in the area. Breakfast is included, which consists of the basic hotel breakfast items. We didn’t utilize this feature being that we are health nuts. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs and a fitness center (includes a few treadmills and ellipticals and a few pulley machines).
Room
The inside of the rooms are surprisingly nice; nicer than the outside of the hotel. The most impressive thing here was the digital cable. We had a nice flat screen TV with a digital guide, a handful of HBO channels, and free On Demand shows and movies. Most hotels I have stayed at, even much nicer hotels, don’t usually provide such features. You are usually stuck channel surfing and/​or paying outrageous fees to order a movie. Wi-​Fi was kind of slow, but it’s nice to have for free.
Overall, this is a great value for a Disneyland stay considering the price, location, and quality.
