Woohoo! It is as good as it gets!
Just got home with a box of these. These are the best muffins I’ve ever had! Bookmarked this place on account we frequent the area, glad I did. If you love muffins, you owe it to yourself to make a trip to Anacortes. The guy serving us was the cook, he had all the answers, best recommendations, and words of advice, we left with the best. I’ve now tried the raspberry & cream… amazing, and the macaroons… the best ever! We so look forward to our next visit! Highly recommended!

Best muffins you’ll ever eat. Awesome original built old store with squeaky wood floor and everything. Added on little bistro with good sandwiches, espresso and nice selection of wine. You can even get Schwans ice cream.

Out of this world muffins. Incredibly moist and flavorful. I had the chocolate cheesecake and the crème brûlée, both amazing. If I am back in the area I will definitely be stopping in.

Love the muffins! Hate the deli sandwich… I had the French dip, it was microwaved to warm up meat, enough said. Yuck! So, stick with what they are known for, awesome muffins! Avoid the «deli».

Stopped in for a chai and sample of the baked items. The chai had a great foam to it and basic flavor. The baked goods are where it’s really at! The macaroons were perfectly chewy, the lemon cream fan had a great lemon flavor and fresh flaky pastry, and the fresh peach muffin had a wonderful crumb top. Definitely a good stop! Fresh bread is coming out of the oven to take to go with one of the yummy looking jarred spreads.

I’m giving this place a high rating for the best muffins you’ll find anywhere! Huge, moist, full of berries etc. Selection varies, but I think there were about 8 to 10 when we went Saturday afternoon. Worth a side trip if you’re anywhere in the area.

The best muffin I have EVER had. I got a blueberry cream muffin. There were so many verities to choose from and they all looked amazing. I highly recommend getting a trillion muffins from this place.

The MUFFINS! The MACAROONS! The COOKIES! It’s all too much to talk about. Their muffins are out of control! I don’t even like muffins… But The Store Groceries muffins I could eat all day! The vanilla caramel, or the candy cane, or the mint chip! Omg! Amazing! If you’re planning a trip to Anacortes… You HAVE to stop here and fill up on goodies. Oh yah, they have grocery items too!

Best muffins you will even have. Soft, moist, fluffy, and the size of Costco’s muffins. Plus so many different varieties!

It has a nice selection of other things at the Store as well like their wine.

Good beer selection. Ice cream, pastries… Cheese, sandwiches… What more do you need?! Friendly service!

On our way back to Seattle from Deception pass when we Unilocal this place. OMG! Their muffins are ***** awesome! Hands down the best muffins I’ve ever eaten! You have to try them if you’re in the area! I will gladly make the drive back up for more. My favorite has to be the orange cranberry, or is it the banana nut? I can’t pick just one!!! They’re all my favorite!

The selection of homemade yummy baked goods here is quite overwhelming in a Fantastic kinda way. From a warm coconut macaroon with chocolate frosting, dusted w/​coconut shreds, to cookies & muffins galore; You will not be disappointed.
Added to that, they roast their coffee beans on sight & bake some funky looking breads. Not into that, then surely a baguette & a bottle of wine from their Huge selection will satisfy. Still no Go, then grab a craft beer in the case, or stop by for a Breakfast Scramble.
Whatever you decide, just stop by & you will figure it out!
*Warning* Sensory overload might play a factor & instead of getting «some thing», you might be forced to try EVERYTHING :)

Every time we pass this place there are a lot of cars in front and across the street. The other day I stopped to find out why. Oh my, this is our new favorite place for muffins and fresh baked bread. The coffee was great too. Next time we are in town, I’m going to try lunch… and take home some muffins and bread.
Don’t just drive by as we have done for so long, STOP, it is worth it.

BEST FREAKIN’ MUFFINS I’VE HAD IN MY LIFETIME!!!
My heart may not be happy after devouring three of these huge muffins in three days, but my tummy sure is! These muffins are so moist and flavorful that I bet you’ll be back for more.
The Store in Anacortes is a convenient stop before or after passing through the Anacortes Ferry Terminal, or enroute to Deception Pass. It makes a wonderful meal, snack, or sweet treat. The flavors my husband and I sampled include white chocolate cheesecake, banana nut, strawberry rhubarb, very berry, and apple cinnamon. The apple cinnamon was my least favorite but all were still better than your average.
Can’t wait to get my muffin (top) on next time I’m in the area!

How ever, customer services was not. It shouldn’t be our job to call ahead when you’re running a business. Especially when you complain to a DIFFERENT customer when we were still in the store. It’s just rude and doesn’t build a good business

This place is adorable! I ended up getting a muffin as others had suggested and it was indeed as delicious as others thought. I also got lunch there and went with the tuna salad — not only was the actual «salad» part of the meal a really nice mix of greens and other veggies, but the tuna salad was not the standard, mayo heavy kind. It was light and freshly made — definitely a rare thing for me to order but boy was I happy I did! I also grabbed a few coconut macaroons on my way out and they (big surprise) were awesome! This place is definitely worth the additional 5 minute drive from Deception Pass.

My wife and I were in Anacortes to catch the ferry to the San Juan Islands. We got into town well in front of our reservation. After going to Starbucks, my wife stated that we should go to this bakery she had noticed while driving around. It was not a disappointment. We got an Almond Joy Muffin and Coconut Crème Pie Muffin. We did not break into them until we got to Friday Harbor. I think if we had tasted them on the ferry, we may have jumpped off the ferry to swim back and get more. These were some of the best muffins we have ever had.
On the way back to Seattle 4 days later, again we stopped and 4 additional with the intentions of having a snack on the way to Seattle. I found that my wife did eat the tops off the them once we got to the hotel, but otherwise, we held on to them to show off to Mom and Dad when we got home. This time we had: Banana Nut, Very Berry, Cinnamon Maple and Strawberries and Crème. Mom and Dad, who are fine purveyor’s of muffin from their upbringing in Western Pennsylvania, agreed, these were the best muffins they had ever had.
This shop is not easy to find, but it is well worth the stop. They also have fresh breads which are wonderful as well.

A rep for our business brought a selection of muffins and cookies in from here this morning. I had never heard of the place and opted for what appeared to be a cinnamon crumb muffin. To my delight it was a peach cinnamon crumb muffin and was probably the best muffin I’ve ever had. So incredibly moist and flavorful. It was huge and very heavy but not at all dense. They just melt in your mouth. It had large chunks of peach and a really good cinnamon flavor. We had a huge assortment and I should have taken a picture of my muffin but I opted for the only one left in the box. I will definitely hit up this place to try some other baked goods when I’m in the area.
