A cute little state park on the tip of the Orcas featuring some small campsite, 0.5−2 mile hikes and a beach filled with peebles. The hike to the beach can be either a 0.5 mile or 1 mile path which is not technically challenging and can be done in sneakers. There is a fair amount of exposured glacier and moss, so sandals or boat shoes wouldn’t be the best and the grade can be steep for older and younger hikers. Don’t expect any amenaties on the beach, maybe a happy seal or two. This seemed to be a hiding place for a couple of yachts which was a scene killer, but there are plenty of tidal pools, starfish and crabs to keep the kiddies busy. Even a day hike in summer only had 20 people or so on the 500 yards of beach.

Smaller southern neighbor to Moran State Park. This place has a few trails, campsites, and a couple beach sites. Recommend checking out Picnic Rock and the beach for fantastic views. Much less busy here than at Moran which is quite nice.
