Western New York has a secret and this is it. You’ll be blown away by the menu. The steak I has was cooked perfectly. My little brother had a pasta dish that was on special. Everything was perfect and it’s beautiful inside. We were in and out in under an hour and the waitress was really nice.

Fish are pretty but tanks need to be cleaned! Food was good but if you change the side choice and the waitress tells you it is OK to change the side verify you will not be changed for the change. We made our fly by night waitress aware of the charge that she said would be ok to change form salad to fries and it was not taken off the bill. Waitress was slack on asking if we needed anything and it was not crowded. Don’t think I will go back, to many other places.

Used to enjoy going their, until they made the horrible decision to take nutritional information off their website! Really? I’m not the only one who is frustrated by this either, I’ve had other friends mention that they no longer can access it anymore either, very bad move grapevine, many many people are more conscious of what they put into their bodies and would like to know your calories per serving etc!

Do not go to their brunch. Unfortunately I did not have a choice in this. I can not speak about their lunch or dinner service but judging from the brunch I would stay away. I avoided the dry looking baked goods, the heavily dressed pasta and potato salad with unknown white sauce, bacon lying in a puddle of grease, dried looking«poached» eggs, and more of the same quality. I choose the sliced melon and cubed fried potatoes. The fruit was so under ripe that it was inedible They did offer omelets — so we asked if we could get an egg while omelet. The answer was No. We asked about some other possibilities that we were willing to pay more for. Again the answer was No. The service was poor as well as the food. I left hungry and less than happy.

I have a soft spot for any place that serves french onion soup daily, and bonus points art awarded for the soup being delicious! The aesthetic was very nice, we were seated in the patio room where their small artificial waterfall produced the divine sounds of a babbling brook. There I enjoyed the aforementioned soup, as well as my main course of the broccoli chicken — a perfect blend of chicken stuffed to the gills with broccoli and cheese. I would definitely recommend the Grapevine to anyone who wouldn’t mind spending 15 bucks on good food.

We’d driven past several times so we decided to stop in. Crazy ambiance — so many fish tanks and dated décor. The menu is better for the blue-plate-special crowd.

Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable ! The Shepherd pies were highly recommended by a friend but we found the Thanksgiving pie to be quite tasteles… lacking the spices we associate with turkey stuffing… we suggest a simple solution… add sage and poultry seasoning. The apple crisp however had enough spice and was very tasty. with only one comment… apples were undercooked and ice cream didn’t even melt. All in all were willing to give them another try… maybe it was an off nite for the chef!

I’ve eaten here a few times in the past and it was always good but never outstanding. This visit however, deserves a 5 as i just couldn’t find a thing to complain about. Our server was Sam and she earned a 5 herself. We didn’t want for anything during this visit. Sam visited the table several times to see how things were, if we’d like more bread, more drinks, more anything? The warm bread was fresh from the oven, soft and moist and the whipped butter melted into it so perfectly… we had to have another basket! The beer battered haddock had a light and crispy batter and fell apart when you cut into it. Loved the tartar sauce. I had a perfectly done baked with B &SC. The dinner also came with a lovely mixed-greens salad(delicious blue cheese dressing). It was enough to share with my husband who had the albacore tuna melt sandwich with hand-cut fries. The restaurant appeared to be perfectly clean and I didn’t notice anything outdated as previous reviewers stated. We arrived around 4:30 and there was a steady flow coming through the door during our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will def be back. Oh, and by the way we aren’t in our 70’s — not even 60! Update — I don’t recommend the patio. VERYNOISY Definitely needs some sound insulation.

The price is higher than expected when walking in. Surf & Turf is $ 49. And the server seemed nervous and didn’t know much about the menu. Asked the server about seafood and she didn’t know what it was like or much about it at all, she also didn’t know what the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese was like and then told us that she was a really picky eater. The server also didn’t seem very happy with her job or very into serving in general. If your looking for something cheap this isn’t the place to go. The clam chowder isn’t very good either. But the nice aquariums around the restaurant do look nice next to the booths around the restaurant.

Got a southern tier IPA, it was flat. Nothing extremely exciting about the food or menu. It was good, but I won’t rush back. Also it’s a little over priced.

There’s something to be said for places outside your demographic. The Grapevine’s clientele definitely skews toward older adults and I’m okay with that. It means a spacious parking lot. It means comfortable seats. It means classic meals where you know exactly what you are getting. And, if you’re lucky, you might get to chat with some gregarious elderly person while waiting to be seated. In some ways, it’s more comfortable than some of the trendier places that my generation frequents. But let’s talk food. My mom and I both ordered the apple almond chicken. I got the«light» dinner and the portion was still pretty generous. The meal came on a bed of rice pilaf AND with a potato side. And the chicken is breaded to boot, so the whole thing was comfort food heaven. We took the chocolate peanut butter pie dessert to go. It’s the kind of stuff that dreams are made of. Seriously. I would return just for that pie. I’m docking one star for a few reasons. First, the side salad was basically a sad pile of iceberg lettuce. Second, the restaurant is just not visually appealing. The fish tanks are interesting, but the overall atmosphere feels bland. As someone who doesn’t go out to restaurants all the time, I appreciate a place where I can enjoy the whole experience which includes the environment as well as the food. When it comes to aesthetics, this restaurant could step it up. Overall, though, this is a nice place where you can find some good food and friendly service. This is not a restaurant I’ll visit regularly, but for occasional visits when relatives are in town it works out quite well.

I love the food here and have been going for decades! The owners are friendly, service is good and you know what you’re getting! I always go there when I’m home. I love the salads and burgers but the brunch on Sunday is delicious! You have to try the french onion soup too!!!

The commercials make this place look amazing. However, you have to be over the age of 70 to possibly enjoy this place.

My husband and I went to the Grapevine Restaurant on New Year’s Eve, unfortunately we did not have a reservation, but it was only a 15 minute wait and we were entertained by the fish tanks and pleasant conversations with other guests waiting for their table. The restaurant is spotless, the staff are very friendly, efficient, and appreciative of your business. We ordered our meals and waited only another 20 minutes, everything was served hot and the waitress stopped by 2 times to ensure we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything. The food is consistently delicious, plentiful and presented beautifully on your plate. I have purchased many Grapevine Restaurant gift cards for family members and they are always pleased to receive them.

This is honestly a pretty decent place to grab a bite to eat. Its got good atmosphere, good service, and good food. I have to say that the fish tanks inside are a really cool effect and are fun to watch while you wait for your food. I ordered the chicken parmesan the last time I was here. It was good but I quickly wished I would have ordered the lobster mac n’ cheese that my friend ordered when I saw his. They have other interesting varieties of mac n’ cheese that I saw on their menu as well. I’ll have to come back to try some of those out in the near future.

Since my first review, I have been here a few other times. The food has consistenty been good. The fish fry is a good as it looked on the first visit, so I encourage ordering it. And all the other dishes have been worth ordering. One tip for the warm weather: eat in the patio outside. It has a cover and shades over the tables so that you are not stuck in the direct sun, but it’s nice to enjoy the outside while you can.

For about an hour before coming here today, my dad talked about the commercials he had seen for the«new» Grapevine and how amazing those burgers look. We got to The Grapevine for lunch, pulled in the huge but nearly deserted parking lot, and headed in. First step in and it was humid and stinky! It’s gotta be the fish tanks in there… Were seated, waitress came over to place the order… Dad orders a salad at the last minute! Ha! After talking about the burgers for an hour, he orders some salad of the day with chicken and strawberries. Oy. I ordered the Parmesan chicken salad, mom got the Super Bird. The place is extremely outdated. Needs a good deep cleaning, and style overhaul. I could do without the fish tanks but I know that’s a draw for people who like to eat there. Hmm, not really sure why… So our food comes, and everything was certainly tasty. The homemade ranch dressing on the side is so good!!! They sell it separately to take home. I know because I bought a container to go. I think it was $ 4. Yummmmmmm! Dad loved his salad and the seasoning on the chicken. Our waitress was also really nice. So the food and experience was good. The smell combined with the dated look and menu that’s kind of all over the place get a solid 3 stars, not 4. I would like to try the burgers and the mac and cheese. Maybe for takeout sometime…

I’ve had mixed experiences here. It always seems like a nice place to go for a bit of a «special» family dinner – and while it’s sometimes been very good, just as often it’s been little more than«okay.» We had great service on our last visit. While I was sad to see that some of the VEGETARIAN items I’d liked in the past were no longer on the menu, I did enjoy their house-made veggie burger served with caramelized onions and balsamic glaze. I also appreciated the option to have fruit instead of fries. I ordered it expecting to get a cup of pre-made fruit salad but was pleasantly surprised to receive several perfect ripe slices of fresh honeydew, cantalope, and pineapple. So, I’ll probably be back but can’t say it’s a «must try.»

I heard it at the Grapevine… not much longer would they close at 9. Whoa I heard it at Grapevine. I’m just about to order Chicken Florentine. Hai, hai, haiii. Do you remember a jeans commercial that used that song? Hmm. Some naked guy. I’m not into those. But if you are then look it up, it was popular in England, I think it was for Levis. For 511s I think. I didn’t mean to namedrop, in fact you would never catch me dead in Levis, I wear Wranglers and other such cheaper and more comfortable and less trendy jeans :) I probably shouldn’t say that on here, I’m going to end up coming across as unappealing. Actually truth be told I wear whatever anyone sends me. But we have a problem here and that problem is that I’ve now used up most of my review space without even mentioning the food here. That might be because I’ve never tried the actual non-Friday food from this place, but their fish fry was pretty good and they have a really cool fish tank inside! I hope they didn’t make the fish fry from the fish in the fish tank though :( While the fish fry was good, and definitely not bad, it wasn’t anywhere near the British standard of fish, or that set by my favourite fish fry in the area(which is in Clarence). It was juicy but a little bland, that’s probably my main criticism of it. I’ll have to try some of their other food at some point.

Wonderful restaurant, family friendly and fancy enough for a special occasions. They have a fantastic Sunday brunch! The many saltwater fish tanks provide a relaxing atmosphere and keep little ones captivated. They have all the fish from«Finding Nemo»!
