Orchard Hill Disc Golf at UMass Amherst

This past week we decided to go Disc Golfing and thought that we would give the UMass Amherst Course a try. The course itself starts near the Orchard Hill Observatory and then works its way towards Eastman Lane. It is a 9 hole course with some unique obstacles.
The course itself is pretty well maintained, but it has poor signage. What we ended up having to do was pull up the course map on our phone and follow that as a guide. The shrubbery was well maintained but there was a lot of trash near the tee off areas. Overall it was an enjoyable excursion except for the last hole. The issue was that the last hole is near a set of dorms and since the weather was nice there were a ton of people in the grass. We had to play around them because they didn’t budge when they saw us playing.
I hope that in the future they will make this course 18 holes, but not a bad start for now!
