Old Navy Clothing Store

The sales associates at this Old Navy have consistently been some of the nicest people I have been around. Always in a good mood, engaging in friendly banter and very accommodating when it comes down to returns and exchanges. The parking lot is fine, there are plenty of spots reserved for Old Navy shoppers only. A few reasons why I am only giving this store four stars instead of five; the first being that their clearance section is wildly unorganized, as it is in most Old Navy if not all Old Navy stores I’ve been in, so I can’t fault them too much for this. Everything in the clearance area is in such disarray it makes it difficult to sort through the items you may be interested in. The second reason is that some of their clothes aren’t made of the highest quality. I have had a few experiences recently where shirts have ripped after one wash. That shouldn’t happen. Your best bet is to wait for items to go on sale, otherwise they can be pricey, again, considering the quality. Old Navy is always my go to place to get Sports t-​shirts. They have a nice selection for both men and women and oftentimes it’s hard to find NFL or MLB shirts for us gals. I would advise against their shoes, just because of their sturdiness. I would recommend getting an Old Navy card if you’re going to shop here regularly. I just signed up for one and the perks are great. You get 10% off your purchase for the first 60 days you are a cardholder. Not sure what the discount is after the 60 days, but you are consistently accumulating points after every purchase which eventually allows you to earn a credit. The card can be used at GAP and Banana Republic too. After thinking about this store in depth, I think it’s close to a three star store, but the customer service really makes a difference here.

If I tell you the reason that I’d come here to this Old Navy, it’d be completely opposite of what you’d think. I actually really like coming in here for cool unique stocking stuffers. Neck-​and-​neck with JCPenny’s stocking stuffers, I really like how affordable those items are here. I actually stumbled upon them by accident one day. The clothing however, nothing to shout about. I really wouldn’t choose this as my destination to shop for clothing.

This store opens at 9 am, not 10. Even when the other stores in the mall open at 10.
It’s also got a large footprint here in the Galleria. I was not impressed though. The clothes are all casual as you would expect. Its nicely displayed as well. I just don’t think they options this season are great I guess. There is a large wall of jeans and since that’s what we were here for that worked out well. Its a huge store, maybe if was smaller and did not have so much to see I would have appreciated it more.

I’ve given up on Old Navy a while ago, but I went with Brad to help him pick out a pair of shorts.
The first thing I noticed was how small the men’s section is. There were only 2 of those little box things the stores have. I compared this to the woman’s section that takes up half of the store. I think the children’s section was bigger than the men’s.
Brad went to try on 2 different pairs, both the same size. When he came out he said one of them fit, but the other was way too small. I’ve always found that their sizes are inconsistent, which is why I don’t shop there anymore.
I also noticed that the store was a huge mess! While I was waiting near the fitting rooms, I saw there was wrinkled clothing all over the place. And the attendant at the fitting rooms was more interested in being on his phone than cleaning or organizing the place.
The only reason I would shop here would be for sunglasses or different odds-​and-​ends.

The quality of Old Navy clothing in general is not FANTASTIC but it’s trendy and cute and with coupons and other discounts is affordable enough to be rotated out of the closet and to Goodwill every year or 2.
They carry XXL, 18s and 20s which makes me happy and gives me more inexpensive clothing options to choose from. YAY!
If you sign up for their email alerts, you get coupons frequently. And if you have a charge here and frequent often enough, you can earn major rewards by spending here and at other places (as long as you pay off the balance before the next billing cycle, you aren’t charged interest– yay!) and get major coupons. I just got a $ 40 rewards coupon and I was VERY happy to use it. An employee even commented that I must be a very smart shopper when I presented a stack of coupons that got me a $ 70 bag of clothing for FREE recently!!!

I am a big fan of selection and this place had it. I landed in heaven when I arrived because they had everything in my size. I hate the other Old Navy’s in NYC because you can never find what you are looking for. Too bad this one is so far away from where I live.

I don’t normally shop at Old Navy because their sweaters are itchy. I bought a pair of skinny jeans here on the recommendation of a friend since I was not about to spend $ 100s on a pair of jeans that are purposely designed to make my ass look big (ger).
Anyways, they have super cute christmas wrapping and gift bags. I loaded up for next year’s wrappaganza.
