Motel 6 Cleveland-Lorain/Amherst

Can’t believe the 5 star reviews, I would never stay here again. While the new decorating may be nice compared to old dirty carpet, the room was tiny and easily most spartan I’ve ever stayed in. The only reason I’m even giving it 2 stars is because they’ve obviously made an effort by redecorating. Only enough space for 2 beds (one of them jammed up against the wall so you can only get in on one side) and a tiny table, shower stall w/​o tub that was barely big enough to turn around in. When we got there it was –14 degrees (yes you read that right). It was late at night and the heat had not been on in the room all day, so it was almost as cold inside as outside. We did get the heat running and went to bed with our clothes and coats on since the «blankets» on the beds were little more than a slightly thicker sheet. Eventually after a few hours it did warm up, despite the draft coming in the poorly sealed door, so of course we woke up overly warm. And the pillows were flat.

We opened our door and saw a very clean room that was recently updated. The bedspreads still had creases, possibly from being unpackaged. The pillows were down/​feather mix (not foam). No complaints, for a simple clean place to sleep for a night! I would stay again if i were driving through.

The lady at the front desk was super cool. The outside of the hotel does not look good, but don’t let that discourage you. Everything in the rooms are brand new and stylish. I literally took the energy saver sticker off the brand new flat screen (6÷6÷14).
