This was a birthday outing for us. Having seen improv at the Second City in Chicago a few times, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we took a chance. We were very glad we did. These guys and gals are funny, even with the«keeping it clean» restriction or maybe in spite of it, they delivered the laughs on par with the best. Kids and I were still cracking up about the jokes the day after, which is always a good sign, and everyone wants to go again.

The family shows are great. My two boys love going. It is their favorite entertainment choice, by far. They talk about some of the humorous lines and skits for days and even weeks afterwards.

My date took me here on a Saturday night because I needed some cheering up. Wow, did it work. I laughed my butt off and would definitely recommend it to others.

Hidden away in Snyder/Amherst is this cozy little place to see some decent local comedy. I’ve been here several times. I’ve seen funny, and I’ve seen really… not funny at all. But comedy is a subjective thing, and tends to be a crap-shoot. The location is decent, although perhaps a bit difficult to find the first time. The«Arena» is set up to be similar to a stadium, with seating in front of the stage like a theater, and seats to the side, more like you might have in the«cheap seats» section of a sporting event. The«cheap seats» are certainly not the best seats in the house. It a decent, low-cost night out if you’re down for some comedy, but keep your expectations reasonable.

I stumbled upon Comedy Sportz while looking for things to do with my meetup group and I was not disappointed! Comedy Sportz is part of the Buffalo Theater Alliance, which I am always impressed by(Shakespeare in the Park, Irish Classical Theater, etc). The performers had amazing energy and pump you up as soon as you enter the lobby. The theater itself is in the basement of an office building complex but they have plenty of signs and arrows so its easy to find. The show itself is really funny, with lots of audience participation and it is family friendly. They do have an after hours show, on Saturday night I believe. Tickets are only 12 dollars and using your Lights of Justice the audience gets to vote which team wins each improv round. This is such a fun and inexpensive evening to spend with your family and friends. I will most definitely be returning.

Love coming here if u have nothing else to do on a Friday or Saturday night and need some laughs. The comedy is improv and they take suggestions from the audience on topics based on the theme they r playing. They have several themes(or games) they play and go over how each game is played before they start. It’s family friendly but every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is adult themed! It’s at a low price and also take student and senior prices. They have a concession stand but also give out treats throughout the show as well if u have good ideas to throw out. Comedy sportz is pretty popular but u wouldn’t know it until u go, they advertise that they r all over the US!

Plain and simple. .. . Always a great night! once you go you will return over and over again and you will always leave happier then when you entered from laughing so hard. They say laughing is the best medicine. Well at comedysportz they will over dose you with laughter. Oh and don’t forget to buy your lights of justice since you don’t want to be left out of the voting fun!

Came across the ComedySportz online(channel 4 under community section). This was a really good time! It was a smaller crowd that attended on this night and I was a little skeptical at first because of that, but it didn’t matter one bit. We laughed throughout the entire time, the improv was genuinely funny, and they kept the audience involved. Family friendly as well. I would certainly go again.

Funny improv comedy, offering adult nights and family-friendly nights … this exists in Buffalo??? I had no idea!!! We went on a family-friendly night(no dirty jokes, no swearing, lots of kids in the audience). The theater was sold out. We ordered popcorn(large for $ 5! and delicious!!!) and settled down for 2 hours of absolute hilarity. I can’t believe I had never been here before. What a perfect thing to do in the winter. I can’t wait to go back with even more friends. TIP: buy your tickets in advance — the shows do sell out! Only $ 10 !

Found this place on the Internet by accident. Went on a Friday night and had a great time. The performers were funny and really wanted to give a great show to the«loyal fans». Would def go back again. Good job everyone.

I have to pull out my trusty thesaurus to come up with enough good adjectives for Buffalo Comedy Sportz! …awesome, fascinating, incredible, marvelous, prodigious, shocking, stunning, surprising, unbelievable, wonderful… And when I say«prodigious» I mean… extraordinary, fabulous… because they are not really that huge. I have been attending shows(matches) at Buffalo CSz for years! I always(Always!) laugh until my face hurts. You just cannot see a bad show. The players all enjoy what they are doing… and it shows. It is just a fun, fun really good time. With great people. period And it’s not only kid-friendly, it’s kid perfect! My kids all love to go! It is a wonderful(and affordable) family evening. I started taking my kids when they were 4, 6 and 13. Perfect for all 3. Go and check out a show! You will be happy that you did and will be back again and again.
