I needed a glass top for a credenza which had a rounded front. So I brought in a template that I had traced. Amherst Glass cut it perfectly. It has stood up for several years now. I am going to trust them with my next project too.

This guy is weird. He thinks tape measures vary by a sixteenth not realizing that that the end hook slides to accommodate for inside or outside measurements. Then when I tried to explain that to him, he told me to go somewhere else. DO NOT USE THIS STORE under any circumstances. The owner is rude and unappreciative of those who would give him business.

I’ve used Amherst Glass for 25 years. They’ve cut glass to cover framed photographs and for window panes, and they’ve made us window screens. Their work is great, prompt, very fairly priced, and they are always pleasant to work with.

I needed to replace the glass part of my storm door and Cowl’s recommended Amherst Glass. I called Amherst Glass to ask about my options and the man that I spoke with was rude and rushed me off the phone. When I asked a follow-​up question and litterally said, «I already told you it would take about three days…» I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Do NOT go here. The owner/​employee is useless and rude and over charges for EVERYTHING!
I called to ask him if he would cut glass if I brought in my own pieces. He very rudely told me «maybe» and then told me there would be a «charge» and that I was better off using his.
So I went in with exact measurements and placed an order for a piece of plexiglass that was 71″ by 16″. He then told me that it would cost me $ 200 and he couldn’t guarantee it for the next day by noon (he had to cut one piece it would have taken him 10 mins at the most!).
When I told him that I had a deadline that I had to meet the next day, he told me he couldn’t do it and threw my order in the trash!
This guy is not worth your time and money!
