I Don’t have problems with Walmart in general, I just hate this location. Every time I end up here I become extremely frustrated with the poor customer service, lack of common products, and ignorance of the employees.

Kind of a modernized Walmart as I they are trying to imitate Target stores. The stuff is placed quite differently than their typical arrangement so may be confusing.
As always they had this stuff on discount in order to get rid of it.
On thing is that it looks brighter due to modern lights and interior.

Passed through last year and stopped. Surprisingly helpful clerks in a store with a layout I was unfamiliar with. Checkout fast and courteous. And the prices are terrific, of course.

There must be something about Ames demographics that keeps this Walmart open. Mom tells me that they even remodeled it fairly recently.
I came here twice during my recent visit to Ames and both were related to my Son. He’s now a big handsome 17 year-​old, but needs a little help in the shaving and ear hygiene department. His Mom and I have so far been unsuccessful with a conventional multi-​blade razor or electric shaver. However, the all-​in-​one shaving kit purchased here did the trick. As for the ear, my key advice is a 1% topical hydrocortisone ointment with chamomile.

Wal-​Mart sucks. If you like cheap crap from China and buying things to help a repressive government that blocks UN legislation to help with the genocide in Sudan, then you found your place. Although as far as wal-​marts go this one isn’t as bad as others. it may take more than 10 minutes to find someone yelling at their kid.
