Ames Cupcake Emporium

so I had the afternoon off for a trip to my dentist, my doctor, and my attorney (yea?!?) and figured I could use a bright spot in what looked to be a poor excuse for a half-​day off. remembered seeing this place on the way home from work never inclined to stop because ‘home’ is where I’m usually headed, but not today.
nice shoppe, nice location, pleasant staff and kinda spendy baked goods. two bucks for a cupcake? does it seem extravagant? could you make a whole batch of cupcakes for two bucks? could you spend you money better elsewhere? yes, yes, yes, and no.
the point is that you can select any quantity of cupcakes each one in a particular flavor /​style /​color without having to drag out the utensils, fixings, decorations, accessories and whatever else goes into making fancy cupcakes and walk away thrilled at having a tasty treat RIGHT NOW! we pay for convenience and this sure is convenient, and tasty, and moist, and sweet, and frosted, and goes good with milk.
I will be back, not every day, probably not even weekly since resources are limited, but when the desire for a wee cake is high and time is short I will be back.

Rad little Cup Cake and sweets shop! Set up like a 50’s dinner vibe, with old school booths and tables! They have wi-​fi so it’s a cool place to grab a drink and a desert and work for a bit!
The staff was super nice and they sometimes even have Vegan treats! Located right on main street make this a stop to fuel up while shopping local in Ames!
