I enjoy coming here. Great mom and pop place. Don’t be in a hurry when you come here. Service can be slow at times, but a great time to enjoy the company you are with and unwind. Their potato soup is delicious. Very flavorful. They have a variety of items on their menu for anyone’s taste buds. Enjoy!

I mean, it wasn’t *that* bad. Salads are iceberg lettuce bits from a bag, sides are anything frozen that can be dumped in a fryer, but the service was sweet and the price was cheap and it’s not like there are many options in Americus. It’s bar food, plain and simple. We did have some sinfully delicious stuffed potato wedges that were loaded with cheese, bacon bits and sour cream, but really, how can you have a bad item that includes those components?

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and found this place behind out hotel. It is a casual bar and grill with great food. You cannot beat the variety and the prices were very reasonable. They had everything from hamburgers to Mexican, from Italian to steak. My husband ordered the Ribbey and I had the Chicken Cordon Blue. Both entries came with a side and salad. The salads were very fresh with sliced crunchy carrots and good flavored tomatoes. I am a blue cheese freak and this was one of the best blue cheese dressings I have had. The chunks of blue cheese were tangy and plentiful. The salad was the start to a fabulous experience. When my husband’s steak came out you could smell the Smokey good grill flavor. The cut was so large it was hanging off the plate and it was cooked just rights. My chicken was tender with a light batter and plenty of fresh thin sliced ham and cheese. YYYUUMMM is all I can say. You must try the home made wine coolers. The owner was behind the bar and introduced me to the white wine cooler, a mix of wine, sprit and fruit. It was light and refreshing. My husband had to have his Guinness. The bar had a great selection of beer from around the world. This place was a true find and I recommend you try it when you are in town.

This downtown restaurant offers consistently good food, well prepared, with pleasant, friendly servers and a casual, sports bar-like atmosphere that isn’t nearly as noisy as you might expect. If that sounds good but not great, then we’ve conveyed our sensibilities about it correctly. The menu is all over the map: you can order pizza, or Mexican, or sandwiches, or entrees, and the daily specials run the gamut from shrimp fettuccine to ribeye steaks, from grilled grouper to chicken pamesan. It would be hard to complain you couldn’t find anything you wanted at this place. That said, we’d recommend sticking with the specials, which come out fresh and sometimes quite imaginatively prepared. The fish is usually a winner, and they makes good soups in he kitchen, too; bruccoli and cheese is our tasty favorite. If your arteries permit it, there’s lots of what they call«fried stuff» including crispy French fries and grouper fingers. The salad bar is a disappointment; tiny selection and no iceberg lettuce(shame!). Prices are modest. Sandwiches range from $ 5 — 8, entrees $ 11 — 18. There’s plenty of beer and wine. There are wooden tables and booths(which provide a lot of privacy) and some TV sets for those interested. But it seldom seems like a «hangout,“at least during usual dining hours. The atmosphere is definitely casual, and the wait staff easy going but efficient. It’s not great restaurant, but we enjoy it and are happy to return.
