Peking Express

I seriously love this place! It’s cheaper and more authentic than panda express and I always get in and out really quick plus I can appreciate that as a small business they have already converted to the chip card reader! The food is also always fresh I haven’t had anything that’s been sitting for a long time or is dry or anything like that. The staff is always really friendly when I come in as well, there is a little bit of a language barrier but they try really hard to make conversation which I love.

No flavor. Rather go to Safeway and buy the bag ones they have more flavor than this place

I give one star for the food taste, but over all poor customer service especially the older Chinese lady.

Do not go here. They are shady and try to milk you for your money. If you ask for a medium soup they’ll say you can only get a large. No water cups at all. The food is okay at best however I would rather have combo express my Vallejo, the food is much better along with better portions.

This is my go to place when I’m craving chinese and don’t want to travel across town. Definitely a take out joint, I would say it’s better than Panda Express. The owners are always friendly. The chicken won ton soup is pretty darn good. Definitely not a high class joint but yummy and close to home.

One star is too much. Hair in my food, no thanks!!! YUCKKKK. Supposedly this place was shut down for a while. If they keep up with the hairy food I’m sure they will get shut down again. This place needs a health inspection and a customer service lesson. Will not be going back here ever again.

This place is really close to my house and it’s convenient to come here if I’m craving for Chinese food. The price is reasonable, to me it has all the typical fast Chinese food like any other places. I would come here again if I still in the same place but I would not get out of my way to go here.

5 star for me because the food here is great.
I’ve been 12 years residents of A.C. and everytime i buy my food & my family here is always warm and excellent. And I would like for them to keep this business open and it’s only walking distance from our house.

Sometimes the food is good, but today… bullshiiit! Ordered combination fried rice. Asked whats in it. was told chicken, bbq pork, beef, and shrimp. I kid you not… i had 3 small peices of shrimp, 4 shredded leftover peices of chicken, 2 strips of beef, and NO bbq pork! And i had to dig to the bottom to find it!
On top of that, i was insluted at the register when my «combination fried rice» came up to $ 8.96, and i asked about it. Menu says $ 7.35. Check before you pay!

BAD BAD BAD. This place was disappointing for several reasons.
When I wanted hot and sour soup, they wouldn’t allow me to order a small or medium. She tapped the Large container and said, «only size». I didn’t understand why. But whatever, I love hot and sour soup, so a large wasn’t a problem. Except when I received the hot and sour soup, it tasted like WARM WATER. It was disgustingly bland. I, personally, hate wasting food, and I don’t consider myself a food snob. But when you get thick yellow muck that tastes like NOTHING, even I couldn’t force myself to finish more than two spoons full. I brought it back to them and complained and they gave me such a hard time about it. Eventually, they agreed to fix it. They said, «you want more hot?» I said, «yes, I want more HOT and more SOUR». So they took it back to the kitchen to fix it. They brought it back a few minutes later. I took one sip, and rolled my eyes. It wasn’t just water flavored anymore. They had dumped a ridiculous amount of pepper into it. So now it tasted like warm, pepper water. I was taken aback. I couldn’t tell if this was their serious attempt at fixing the issue, or sarcastically getting back at me for complaining. What made it worse was the lady crossed her arms and stood right next to our table as she watched me tried version 2 of the soup. After she saw me take a sip, she asks, «Want more pepper?» After this, I was done. It wasn’t worth the hassle.
I wanted a water cup to wash down the «food» I had eaten. Guess what, no water cups, only bottled water and soda. –_​– Fine, soda was $ 1.25 or something, and I needed it. but guess what, REFILLS on soda are 65 cents –_​-​. WTF. I hate cheap mentality like this. No water cups, charged refills on soda? I understand the idea of wanting to make a profit, but at the cost of turning away customers who expect decent service? We’ll see how much of a profit you’ll make. The purpose of any business, I thought, was to provide a service and the profits should be commensurate to the service provided. This was a crap shoot of a restaurant who had bad food, bad service, and I hope someday a reputation bad enough to put this ridiculously bad place out of business.

Quick and easy. I try and go during busy times as the food is freshest. My kids like them and I like them well enough, although would prefer more authentic and less bland. The owners are very nice and it’s nice they remember the regulars…

Nice local Chinese…
Nice Chinese food especially if you are in a hurry on a rainy day to get back home or on a lunch break. You won’t find many hardcore delicacies, but more of the traditional American orders. However, it is usually well stocked, hot, and ready to serve. Service is usually prompt, and parking is ample for easy in and out dining. If you want to dine in, you can, but I never do. It’s kind of cold and a line forms from the door to the Order Line splitting the tiny dining area. So you could be sipping on your tea and as you put your cup back down clearing your vision, you may find someone’s cell phone in their purse rattling right by your ear (aisle seats). Enough said. I’m a repeat customer so it’s A-​OK. =)

So upset… ordered some bbq pork and was charged $ 7.94 for a medium box. I get home and only half the box is filled! The bottom of the box was filled with these white filler noodles. I only go to this place when I’m in a bind and need something quick but now I will NEVER go back. I hope the owners are reading these reviews and thinking about what they are doing wrong!

The food is okay/​average. We normally buy the combo meal with chow mein, beef broccoli, sunton chicken, lemon chicken or calamari.
Our only problem with this fast food is they give SMALL PORTION (as other reviewers have stated). Specially the lady with glasses. Avoid her if you can. Let the customer behind you go ahead. Last time we bought a combo with chow mein, beef broccoli and lemon chicken, they only gave 1 serving spoon of beef broccoli and 5 pieces of lemon chicken.
It’s the only Chinese fast food in AC. Will need to explore other places.

An adequate Chinese food. But they give small portions though. They have Kalamari and there sea same chicken is good. I say get that rather some beef broccoli.

I’m sorry but Every time I came to eat at this place I end up Getting sick And High Pice for small plate and I think they cook with old oil No good I do not recommend anybody eating here save your money

Okay, my last review of this place was two stars. I gave it this rating because of lack of beef in the beef and broccoli and the less than desirable customer service. I went there yesterday and to my surprise both ladies working behind the counter were greeting the customers with smiles and a «hello». I looked at the beef and broccoli and still skimpy. (That’s why I couldn’t give five stars). But the service was really good on this visit. With a smile on her face, she tells my my total, «14.96 please». I was amazed!!! Maybe somebody read my review. So I paid my bill and she then blew my mind when she said, «thank you very much»!!! This place does have a chance in my book. Keep it up!!! Thank you too!!!

I could tell the food was not fresh and I got here around 11 which you would think it would taste good since it was early in the morning than on top of that I found a hair in my food disgusting I let the owner know and she just said did you want me to make you another plate and I said no ! Why would I want to eat from the same batch I found that hair in. I will never eat here again !!!

This was my third time here, only for take out. The food behind the counter was just an ordinary selection. They’re ok.
I’m actually reviewing for the «speciality» items I ordered which took about 10mins.
Hot and sour soup– tasted bland, need more salt and no eggs in there! Disappointed.
Chicken and shrimp wonton– didn’t expected other veggies in there. Peas and carrots? Really? I make better wonton soup.
The shrimp wasn’t even in the wonton. There were 3 pieces of shrimps in the broth, which tasted bland as well. Just a simple wonton, cabbage and broth is what I ordered. I do not want any extra veggies that do not go well with wonton soup.
Will not order their «specialty» again.
