Food is decent, not excellent, service is slow. The waitress was super nice, but running around crazy, with only one other group in the place. Got the impression she was having to be wait/bus/dish staff all in one. It took waaaay to long to get our lunch, and the fries were not especially hot. Also, they didn’t have quite a few of the things on the menus. We will go back, hoping they can work out some of these issues.

Decent food I had a burger and my friend had French dip. I would definitely come back. The atmosphere is really nice nice dinning area and a bar with some high top tables.

Went for dinner tonight and was a bit disappointed, I had lamb shank it was good but the grilled veggies needed seasoning as did the couscous both were very bland. Hubby got French Dip he has had it before but it was a while ago, it now has onions with a mayo sauce and lettuce, and the meat was still mooing. The service was very good the young lady was very nice, it was probably our fault we should have asked more about the menu before we ordered. Don’t think we will be back to eat but the beer was second to none.

I have eaten here several times since it opened. The food tends to be very good, the organization and service spotty at best. Today the air conditioning must be broken, have to remind staff to refill water, and the best part: only one of our orders made it to the table. It’s always iffy when a table is not served all orders at the same time, so a suggestion here is to check into why the table cannot be delivered complete. The fact that my order was given to someone else is a common error, however some better organization could cure this. And a flimsy attempt to correct the error is kind of insulting. Without a genuine apology it all means nothing. It’s a shame because I enjoyed the food here, and is why I gave two stars rather than none. To the server, maybe learn to convey genuine empathy, it goes a long way in any profession.

I wanted to try this place since its only two blocks from our house. Went here on a weekday night with the family and sat in the bar area since the dining area was empty. Ordered a beer sampler, clam chowder, JBG Burger, beer battered crispy chicken wings, and pepperoni flatbread. We asked them if they can put arugala on it and she agreed but there is a $ 2 charge. The soup was pretty good. Pep flatbread was a bit on the crispy side and the pepperoni was really salty. They forgot the arugula. My 10 year old son didn’t really care for the wings, he only ate one. My daughter and I split the JBG burger with garlic truffle parmesan fries. The burger was cooked perfectly medium. The meat is on the lean side and was not seasoned and tasteless. The bone marrow was white and like thick tasteless flour paste. I have had decent bone marrow before and imagined that is what I was getting. This one seemed to be mixed with flour in a roux paste with no salt. Also, don’t try the generic ranch. It was pretty bad. It has a strong tangy vinegary taste. I cannot order a salad or dip my food into this. Also, they gave us a big, clunky caddy of condiments that included ketchup, mustard and Mayo. I touched the mayo bottle. It was warm and probably has been sitting out all day. It is very important for a restaurant to refrigerate foods including condiments that can spoil easily. The service is pretty slow requesting things that took too long because they almost forgot. The food is quite expensive for the quality. Pro’s: Beer selection, location Con’s: the food, small tv’s

This place is a joke. Disclaimer: As a New Englander, my standards might be higher than the norm. Let me set the scene. We walked in to a restaurant claiming to be a brewery that was not even near capacity. It began with the lack of an actual greeting. –They ‘greeted’ us by stating it was a ‘madhouse’ and they had ‘no room’ for us –3people– yet there were open seats at the bar and 4-top tables with 1 person seated. –Three panicky employees ran back and forth looking for seats for us. Why are they panicking? We are perfectly calm. Invite me to your bar. Put a beer in my hand. –They call themselves a brewery and offered beer flights –holla!- … I ordered a flight of their signature brews and they don’t have any brews yet. –womp womp– –A rude patron with a terribly colored weave ordered us out of her way with exaggerated hand motions and head shaking. She was seated 20 feet away from a tv mounted on a ceiling. Is she blind? Stupid? Just plain dumb? Fail. Goodbye. Hi, Napa!

Swing and a miss, cold French dip with a big chunk of red onion on it. served on warmish toasted bread. meat completely cold and flavorless, au-jus just above body temp. should have known, a french dip with lettuce on it is just plain wrong. Looooooong delay between apps and main, ordered a salad but it came with the main !!! Burnt fries and because our entrée’s didn’t come out together the fries on plate 2 were burnt and cold. Flavorless pork belly and bacon sandwich that had no smoke, sweet or bacon taste at all on really dry bread. served oddly open faced. Really really sad to see a nice menu ruined by inept cooking and poor quality ingredients … Wasn’t worth the calorie count or the drive :-( When asked if everything was ok we replied to the server no not really and they offered a comped desert. when it came one of the spoons was handle first in carmel sauce lol, then when the check arrived we were charged for a burger we originally ordered but had to change because the star ingredient was out of stock. Good thing we checked. All around a lackluster meal with lackluster food and service … won’t return.

Ok, let’s just do this the grammar school«outline» way… 1) Place was very warm upon entry 2) Tiny jars for the soda so you need 100 refills 3) Calamari was nearly burnt and the breading kept coming off 4) Hubs ordered the burger with bone marrow, waitress came back 10 min later to say they were out of marrow so he changed his order 5) Brought my order way before the salad(tasteless and very chunky), and before Hub’s order bcuz he had changed his 6) Brought my order of pork belly sandwich and fries: a. Fries were barely hot and were almost burnt, b. Sandwich was luke warm and served open face with a 4″ x 1.5″ slice of pork belly on one side and a square in the middle on the other c. Bun on sandwich was sliced unevenly so as to be «cracker thin» on one end, d. Bacon was tasteless e. Pork belly pretty much tasteless also 7) Brought Hub’s French dip a. Cold with cold Au Jus and same overcooked fries b. Way too much unseasoned chewy nearly raw beef on half and barely any beef on the other c. Thick ring of purple onion in the middle, not mentioned on the menu 8) The hostess came over to ask if things were ok, we said it was not to our liking and she offered to comp us a dessert, I got chocolate cake with ice cream which was not bad, but I was not especially into it but… a. The spoons were placed right on the drizzled carmel sauce. 9) Server brought the check… it had Hub’s original order of the burger with bone marrow on it AND the french dip, which he changed his order to because they were OUT of marrow… First and last visit.

This review may not be 100% factual as I was a little drunk after a whole day of Napa wine tastings, but from what I can remember, this place is awesome. We didn’t want anywhere fancy after the longggg, lots of drinking day, so this place seemed to make sense. My boyfriends mom & split a(probably not necessary) bottle of wine & the men got beer(I think). I got the bbq ribs to eat and they were amazing, and huge — I was starving and couldn’t even finish them. I wish I could remember what everyone else got because I know they said it was all so good.

I feel the need to split this review up into two parts: food and service. Starting with the good: Food. My coworkers and I were told about this place as a «great place to get a burger». The first night my coworkers went, I wasn’t feeling well, so I didn’t get to go. Don’t worry though, they thought it was so good that they went back two more times the next week. What kept us going back was the delicious food at really good prices. Nothing on their menu was super expensive. When you see the price, you expect that the portion size is relatively small… you’ll be surprised! The burger was huge and the fries were fresh and delicious. I ordered a flight of beers which were good. We all went back another day during happy hour and got edamame, bacon wrapped figs, salmon croquettes, and bacon mac. All the items(with the exception of the bacon mac were $ 3 for happy hour, the bacon mac was $ 5). Honestly for the prices, what you get is really good. Everything seems to be fresh, not just the frozen things you get at some breweries… Then the not so good: Service. The first night we went, it was fine. The server was nice, helpful, and fairly attentive. The second night we went, when we sat down and said, we were here yesterday, he said he remembered us, and just to be pleasant, I asked him how he was doing. «TERRIBLE, I just got yelled at by a rude customer who wasn’t even my customer, and it’s just so stressful here!». Wow, ok didn’t see that coming. He came back a few minutes later, again complaining about other customers and took our order. We requested a few items and some beers. About 10 minutes later, we had received a couple appetizers from another server but still no drinks. I tried to get his attention just to get a glass of water, and from across the restaurant, said«I’m working on getting your beers, it’s going to take a minute», he seemed really annoyed, so I didn’t even ask for the water. The happy hour ended at 6, I kept looking for our server to put in one last thing before the cutoff, but for about 10 minutes, he was nowhere to be found. Just after 6, I was finally able to flag him down, but he told me they were no longer accepting orders… well if you had been checking on us like you should have, then I would have been able to make my order in time… Overall, just not at all impressed with his service, but not bad enough to not come back. :)

There’s not much to find in the vicinity of the Vallejo/American Canyon area but when this place comes through from previous businesses it’s worth a shot to try. Service is hit or miss. This time around at the bar with a companion the bartender seemed out of his element. It felt that engaging him in small talk was the only way to get his attention. He did at least and I’ll give him credit for that. Food is decent. Happy hour provides some good selection of bites and brews to try than the ordinary fare at the chains. Menu selection seemed a bit overpriced but I have yet to try most of it out. Not bad, I’ll definitely come through again with company. Good selection of brews, a selection of spirits to get the soul going on fire along with happy hour bites and other eats to share. Not bad. I’ll be back.

My bf and I had a great dinner here, it was our first time at this place and we had Alisha as our server. She was great, the food was great and the drinks! I had the Salmon and Shrimp Sandwich — it was amazing! I don’t remember the names of the drinks we had but I’ll post pix.

I started officiating basketball in my early teenage years. At first, I did it so that I could make some pocket money. Little did I know it would turn into a nice side job for me. In my almost 30-year officiating career in both college and high school ranks, I’ve traveled to many cities(I wish I was into Unilocal back then. Would have had twice the reviews by now!) and done many big games. It has been an amazing ride. Yesterday, I had the honor to work one of the Northern California high school championship games at American Canyon High School. After a thrilling two-point game that came down to the last shot, a group of my fellow referees and I went to Junction Brewery and Grill(JBG) for a late dinner. We arrived at JBG at around 8:30pm and the place was not too packed. Our group was seated immediately at a table near the bar area. The interior was roomy and decorated nicely. Despite the small crowd, the atmosphere was lively. Our server, Vilma, came by with menus and took our drink order. She was super friendly. Since I am not a drinker, I just ordered food. I got the JBG Burger($ 16), which had bone marrow, blue cheese butter, crispy onions in it. Others ordered items such as the Canyon Burger(basic burger, $ 12), Grilled Marinated Tri-Tip($ 22), Roasted Garlic Noodles with Chicken($ 15), French Dip($ 16), Sesame Grilled Chicken Salad($ 14) etc. My burger was decent. I ordered mine medium and I thought it was a little overcooked and under seasoned. I had to salt my burger and noticed a couple of my friends did the same too. Despite that, the other elements of my burger were great. The crispy onions added a nice textural contrast and the blue cheese butter/bone marrow tandem gave the burger another level of richness. The fries that came with the burger were crispy and well seasoned. Overall, it was satisfying. I asked the others about their food and they had nothing bad to say. A few of my friends ordered beers and wine and it appeared they have a pretty extensive list of the good stuff. As I mentioned earlier, our server Vilma was super friendly. She checked on us multiple times during the meal and provided us with whatever we asked for. To me, she was the difference maker. She earned the fourth star from me. The total check for eight people came out to about $ 220(with T/T). Although I will not go back again unless I get another regional championship game in American Canyon, I do recommend you trying this place out if you are visiting the area. BONUSMATERIAL: — They have $ 10 lunch specials from 11:30am to 3:00pm. — Small plates run from $ 5 to $ 12. Burgers from $ 12 to $ 16. Entrees from $ 15 to $ 22.

Came here on a whim as my friends and I got to our hotel earlier than the rest of the group and needed to eat! We were excited that they also offered beer tasting and a huge variety to choose from. We got there and no one was in the dining area but a few people in the bar area. My friends and I sat in the bar area as we tend to be loud and were just going to order small plates and do the flight of beer tasting. Since you get to pick the beers, you can’t be too disappointed in these but there were some that were not good. It also took a while for them to get these out to us; I think they need to rethink their flight presentation. We ordered about four different small plates to share, two flatbread pizzas, fried calamari and the Hi-Five Fried Cheese Balls. Since there were four of us, they gave us 6 of the cheese balls — I know they probably have a set limit on how much they serve per plate but determining who was getting the last two balls wasn’t fun — these were really good! The calamari was okay and the flatbread pizzas were good — we ordered the Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Ricotta Cheese & Egg and the Wild Mushroom with Arugula and Drizzled with Truffle Oil. This is a good place to go to grab a few drinks with friends and still have a good variety of food to fill your stomach up.

Came here for the first time yesterday for a few beers and small plates. The service was great, thank you Vilma! We ordered two rounds of beers and we liked them very much. We order the Panic IPA and the Kua Bay IPA. The beers are priced very reasonably. But some of the selection was not available at that time like the Racer 5IPA. We sat in the bar area so it was self serve with the seating. We also order calamari and the edamame. The calamari was burnt the first time we ordered it, so we asked if we could get a new fresh batch and Vilma was very happy to help to get us a new batch. It was good but I wish there was more on the plate for the price we paid and more sauce on the side as well. The edamame was delicious! We’ve never had the edamame with garlic soy sauce and we would definitely order it again. I would come back here to try more of the beer selection and order another round of edamame!

As you will hear me mention, time and time again, it’s rare to find a good place to eat in the 707. You will mostly find fast food chains within the Vallejo/AmCan area, which is unfortunate. Though some exceptions would be Habit and Chick-Fil-A(sometimes), that’s how it is for the most part. There are restaurants here and there that are not of the chain sort, but only a few are what I would consider«hidden gems». Is Junction such a place? Keep reading, fine Unilocal folk. A little primer; this particular physical address has been host to 3 previous establishments. Japanese, Chinese, and a sports bar. As is presently apparent, none of those businesses were able to stay afloat. Does this have anything to with it’s location? Not sure, but may be a trend to keep note of. The inside of the new joint is super clean, very modern. I’m not sure what the vibe is supposed to be here, as it doesn’t feel like a traditional brewery, but it’s nice nonetheless. Staff here is very helpful and friendly. Saw to all my needs. Service was fast as well, no ridiculous waits or anything like that. So staff and design, good stuff. The beers are pretty tasty, though not as «out there» as I usually like. But definitely better than your bargain basement brews that you would get at a regular seedy bar or Applebee’s. They’ve also got sampler flights which are always a good thing. Nice variety too. Food is good as well. Quite the menu in fact. Tri tip, salads, burgers, and other entrees and appetizers as well. A pretty strong focus on small plates/tapas as well, which strikes me as another interesting note. Haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet, but the food is on the pricey side. I know times are tough, but this place is a bit expensive for the offerings it has. All in all, this is an OK place. Probably better to come with friends. I hope that whatever plagued the previous businesses in this spot does not reach over to Junction. With a bit more time, this place can be great.

This place is not bad if you’re looking for a bite to eat and a few drinks in American Canyon! They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap and you can try all of them(I think there were 15 choices) by getting flights. The food was pretty good but the main entrees were a bit pricey in my opinion for just«average» food(you’re better off getting the cheaper«bar eats»). Service was kind of slow so it might be easier to just order drinks from the bar. I got the Aloha Valley house drink and it was too strong for me but our server was kind enough to add more juice to it. Overall the restaurant has nice décor, a good selection of drinks and decent food. Definitely come here if you’re a local and don’t feel like driving too far to relax and have a beer!

This place only has hope of surviving if they get new management. I’ll start off with the positive stuff. All staff are nice. The facility is nice, clean and modern. Their Thai salad and calamari are good and the Aloha Valley(cocktail) is really good. Now where they can use improvement… Their Manager was useless. He was often spotted walking back and forth on a mission, but not sure what that mission was. Our poor waiter really tried, but with a group of 20 people, he really needed help! We had main dishes coming out before appetizers. We ended up going to the bar to order drinks instead of ordering at our table because it was faster. It got real complicated once the bill came. We requested separate tabs from the beginning which seemed to be the main problem. At the end we ended up telling the manager our orders all over again instead of trying to figure out all the mixed up tabs. I really hope things get better! It’s nice to have a spot like this close by.
